Putting a sidecar outfit on your HD is much cheaper than a trike conversion and you don't have a pile of parts. Plus your doggy can go for a ride with you. Best anti- theft device is a big dog 🐕 guarding your motorcycle 🏍️.
In my opinion this new Highway King is missing the real retro spirit by not providing room for two-up riding. My spouse rides two-up on a 1999 Ultra Classic, the attached Liberty Rig (Sidecar) is used for our luggage, C-PAP and the ladies train case. I still have the top case and two hard bags for riding gear, plus there are so many other uses for the Rig. My opinion of the reverse is low for sidecars, just learn to park it where you use a slope to roll into a parking slot. On a flat surface they roll with very little force. I bet those Trikes are very easy to push as well.
@@sherrilaliberte1939GEICO covers sidecar outfit for the same price as a solo bike. $120 full coverage and towing per year. Great customer service and I recommend them highly.
i do the toy runs every year and theirs a bloke with a really old BmW with a sidecar. HIs kids is rockin and extra chromosome and is an absolute dude. a few of us try to ride with them and act as blockers for the dickheads in cars trying to push in. the smile on this kids face is worth every minute. watched him grown up over the last 6 yrs.
Champion and Watsonoin sidecars are the top of the line in sidecars. I love my URAL side car outfit . Paid only $4,000 for her in good shape. A1999 Tourist with only 4,000 miles on the bike. Have 50,000 almost trouble free miles on her. Love going off road with her. So much fun. Can't fall down.HaHa😂
As a dealer, why didn't you get a REAL Harley sidecar. You've got access to all the needed parts & pieces, so why go with a faux hack when you could have the real deal?
@@boscoalbertbaracus1362 what is bad about champion building these instead of Harley? Or a different way of asking, why would you prefer a Harley built/branded sidecar over champion?
@@lightninsadventures2692 because one looks like it belongs on the bike, the other looks aftermarket. One also holds greater value. And the audacity of harley to "bring back sidecars" as an aftermarket cooperative option rather than continue to manufacture them themselves is ridiculous. As though fiberglass tubs and a steel frame was too much for them to make themselves. And at this cost, ridiculous. That would be like BMW selling you a convertible top made by someone else at a ridiculous upcharge.
I would not get into a side-car mounted to a Harley , can't trust Harley's to make it where you want to go , better off attaching it to a Gold wing , Attest you will get where you are going
Heck yeah! That is the coolest side car I've ever seen. 🤩
Been to the Grand Teton store a few times when I’m in the area….Great store ! Great people !
Thank you for the kind words.
What Handle bars did you use for this project?
Yes, quickly!

Now this is a WAUW !!!!
That is a perfect match ❤️
Does the add-on of the sidecar effect the factory warranty?
It should not impact the factory warranty.
I’m in Canada. Can make finding insurance a pain. Considered after market modification.

One day when I get home I want to buy a Harley Davidson with a sidecar
Better than a trike but Harleys run hot as it is.

Harley stopped producing their sidecars many years ago
We actually went with the sidecar company Harley has a relationship with. No faux sidecar here.

What makes this not a "real" side hack?
@@lightninsadventures2692 notice the entire phrase was, "if only it was a real HARLEY HACK". All that fucking money for an aftermarket hack.
