My experience is that Al Jazeera is a quality news journalism channel (same can't be said for most UK media).
@juliahartshorn2473 While I agree about most of the UK media, Al Jazeera is highly political (anti-Israeli), so a bit rich of them to bemoan their closure being 'political'. I haven't watched their stuff too much but did what I have watched has been at best misleading in virtue of omitting information.

There is a difference between Qatari and Qatar Gov. At least Qatar does not claim to be a democracy and then ban newspaper.
