@@zoom3000 True enough. I should specify it's on this specific mission. I fortified the hill with Tesla Coils over their rally point and nothing could ever get through. Except that one jerk Terror Drone which the AI used Iron Curtain on and it killed most of my Tesla Troopers because once it gets close enough nothing can kill it fast enough since it jumps from one guy to the next instantaneously. I think I'll try your method of choking their exits next time :)

This level was living hell for me and my buddies on the block growing up. Best tactic is have the kirovs continually force fire on the ground where yuris troops pour in to weaken them enough so you can actually focusing on building a decent defense force then build the nuke and blow yuris to kingdom come
Finishing the mission in a few minutes: Build at least 4 kirov airships and have them travel far left to the far top. Then have it travel towards the kremlin. 👍👍
It's not that the game is hard, it's just that mechanics of this game are broken. Units always get stuck when you try to move them, dog of war only disappears if your unit literally touches it and soviets have literally one slow air unit that can clear the fog through the cliff.
Just take that hill which is in front of Soviets base and you'll be fine. It should be one of the first things you do. Build teslas there and no one will come thru.
@@SorakaOTP462 Git gud! the mission is pretty easy - u can take closest Yuri's base with your starting units in the beginign of mission make a few Kirovs and destroy Kremlin in 15-20 min. I wish Yuri got some superweapons like Nukes or Psi dominator from Yuri's Revenge
The Soviet way: Throw as many units as you possibly can until the job is done. Send in terror drones and dogs to handle Yuri clones, and them send in the Apocalypse to make it a wasteland
Reminds me of my teenage life. Totally different from how the way i played. I took nearly 2hour lol. One thing i remember is i made the air ship to persistantly drop the bombs on the way of incoming forces. They just come under and died there. Jut to watch out for iron curtained troops.
Ironically the last mission is much easier compared to this. The allied campaign is the opposite. Its second last mission is easy af but its last mission is just as hard as this mission. Imo it is harder than this mission because you can't do the kirov tactic.
@@WitchYuki22 final mission is the only mission that gets harder over time, endless allied tanks coming from off map , and once you lose the foothold in the island it can be a problem, and once you run out of ore, you may just need to restart the mission, it is not impossible at that point but it becomes frustratingly annoying
My way was capture 2 Tesla Reactor on the hill and set-up defences. Yes it is a long way but after you finished setup your defense, you will never worried Yuri's swarm of troops overwhelm you.
Kind of ironic when you think about it. Romanov relied on psychics such as Yuri to mind control others, only to end up being under the influence of Yuri.
The Soviet leaders always seemed to have the worst luck in their respective campaigns especially where mysterious allies were concerned. In the first Red Alert Stalin had no idea what Kane and Nadia were really up to; despite ultimately succeeding in dominating Europe; he still got killed by Nadia. While it's not elaborated on; Kane being Kane probably manipulated the entire thing for his own reasons as he'd been advising in the background. Then of course in Red Alert 2; Yuri seemed to be using Romanov and may well have instigated the entire war.
Yuri was power crazy. At first he seemed to like the Comrad general. He both respected his skills and figured he would obey him unlike Vladimir who never trusted him. Yuri deciding the Comrad general is a threat and needs dealt with is foreshadowed in the post mission messages about soviet leadership fearing your popularity and the red army becoming more and more loyal to you. Yuri was smart enough to understand that in the event you ever decide to overthrow him you would have the full support of the red army and soviet people so he decided to strike first.

You can move kirovs throuh the left border of the map, it will survive. Next destroy enough power stations (and nuclear, of course) and you will be able to destroy defenseless Kremlin. It takes about 5 min or less, and is not interesting.
“What a great threat you are….to your enemies “ real subtle lol Yuri at first seemed to like the Comrad General until he saw just how popular he had become and that the majority of the Red Army was loyal to him and not Yuri thus setting the stage for the hardest level in either RA2 or Yuris revenge.
I advise capturing both tesla reactors, as it will enable you to build your defenses on all of the parts of the cliff. Capturing one will only allow you to build your defenses on one side of the cliff only. There is also a tech air port to be captured at the south east part of this map. you can use it to accumulate vast amount of conscripts. Anyway, I did play this before. And it really takes that hell hours to destroy the violet army, since psycorps troopers are everywhere it the base vicinity.
I have a ultimate plan: Set normal defense, then get another Kirov to get rid of the bushes, take oil derricks, and build 4-5 Factories, and spam 40-50 Kirovs and RUSH B
If you know mod called Mental Omega, well, first of all, I'm proud of you, my fellow comrade, second, this mission is the only (maybe allied final mission is close too) one that, in terms of difficulty, is close to the ones from the said mod. Which says A LOT, the difficulty there is just ridiculous. And I love it.

It took a few tries to figure out a trick or hack. Don't worry about attacking anything in your corner. Just build up a base defense. Park one Kirov above the path to the right of the AA on that hill in front of your base. Park the other Kirov on left. The one on the right will eventually get veteran status the left one can take out some annoying rocket launchers Don't build a nuke. Just fly your right Kirov on the bottom of the screen you will be able to take out a nuclear reactor. Once it is destroyed, you can cake walk your left Kirov straight up to Yuri's castle and blast that traitorous cur to hell
as a kid this map was very hard. because its so well defended. but after playing mental omega Death hand mission I realized this is just baby mode. that mission is freaking ultra nightmare mode.
You need chance it manually. go to your game folder > serach for the file "RA2.ini" edit the video options there like that: This is my video settings: [Video] VideoBackBuffer=No ScreenWidth=1440 ScreenHeight=900 StretchMovies=no ***if you dont have "videobackbuffer=no" line, so please add it for faster and smoother game! If you have the Yuri's Revenge expansion as well then you should also have a "RA2md.ini" file. do the same there.
I screwed up on this mission, accidentally lost the ability to create more units. I don't remember the details, but I think I let my ore refinery get destroyed without having enough ore to replace it. I did however, just complete the nuclear missile silo. It was fun holding out with what I had for units against Yuri's airship attacks until I hit his building with two nukes to win the mission.
I literally tried to hold off the enemy near the chokepoints, using kirovs as stationary defences, but eventually my base got overrun and destroyed. Then I used the only three left veteran kirovs to bombard the nuke reactors, destroy aa guns and finally get to Yuri.
Never made anything here. Just made 3 kirovs. And have them wipe out the nuclear reactors on the two sides of screen. 3 star kirovs was just the crack for this mission
Comrade General: Better build your Flak Trucks and Apocalypse Tanks immediately- before deploying your own Nuclear Missile Silo… Otherwise Yuri Prime’s Kirov Airfleet will level down your base…
This level was hard for me but I did it in the easiest way possible using the two ballons I flew to the left where all the reactors are located and then I destroyed all of them until there is no electricity and using only one ballon which was almost done I was able to destroy the Kremlin 😂
This cursed mission... I finished it by destroying The kremlin with my last Kirov from a destroyed fleet of kirovs (It crashed down on the building itself, giving me the victory)
The most annoying mission of all time.. i beat it with 2 nukes while defending my base with absolute anxiety. I did it when i was still in elementary school, the best memory i had was playing Red Alert 2.
This mission made me realise how useless V3 rocket artillery is, I didn’t splurge on Kirovs, so I simply couldn’t expand. And eventually ran out of funds. Luckily I had a nuke. So with the remaining flak cannons and défenses it’s just “survive for 10-15mins” And nuke the Kremlin twice
I only built a tesla defence on the high ground. Sent 10 kirovs to the left side and went thru minimal air defense. Don't build a nuke so Yuri doesn't send kirovs at you.
I tried playing this level on easy a few days ago and they just kept sending Yuri's over and over and taking over any force I could build up. Easy looks way harder than this. Lol
When i was a kid i couldnt beat this mission so my base got destroyed, the thing i did tho was sneak up the 2 kirovs from the left side of the map, they took heavy damage but they also had self repair so i waited for them to repair themselves every time they got injured lmao, and thats the cowardly way i won
you can put the 2 kirovs IN FRONT of your defense line and command it to attack the ground any enemy infantry unit will die and the tanks will be damaged and you can put more kirov if you want to cover fully the enemy units path and I put 7 kirovs(command it to attack next to each other not in 1 place spread it a little) and only Apocalypse get through and its just one shoted by tesla coil. make 10 flack track for the enemy kirov dont worry it wont attack your defense line you can place the the flack track way back and make flak canon for the other side I made 12 and the 2 fully promoted apocalypse . and you can win it ASAP just land the nukes in the kremlin youll be done much more earlier. its like a cheat since youre against a computer program made in 2000

Try this way Get the hill and plant lots of defend there, use the kirov with cont-attack on the top and mid and narrow road not Gg They can't even get close enough to my base, 😂😂
What was that at the beginning of the mission? The worst positions for your rocket launchers I can't even imagine. You spent too much time on tesla towers.

Thats because u are facing soviet units in this mission not Allied ones. Allied tanks are junk and easy to kill with soviet units

You could send your Kirovs along the left edge of the map, and then over the top edge and fly to the goal.

If you really want the easy way, defend your base, build a nuke silo, and launch both at the Kremlin. It doesn't repair, and takes two nukes
Easiest way is to take two Kirovs at start and send them by the left and top edge of the map to the goal - that is speedrun tactic.

Came back here after wagner mutiny yesterday
Cheap and effective strategy is to accumulate 10-12 V3 to take down the defenses, cover them with 10+ tanks and use a squad of dogs to take out Yuris.
I remember, it took me 1 hour 30 minutes to complete this mission :), and he completed it in just 30 minutes :)

I learned that you must not kill that small force/base directly north of your initial base they will hound you relentlessly after that

Just fly the Kirovs to the left and bomb everything underneath. You don't need to mess up with them buildings to the right or ahead of the base :D
If you build on the hill with the power plant, use tesla coils to negate the iron curtain. They want to shoot up the hill.

That's the final Allied mission you are thinking of with the Black Guard around the Kremlin.

I tried playing this level on easy a few days ago and they just kept sending Yuri's over and over and taking over any force I could build up. Easy looks way harder than this. Lol
When i was a kid i couldnt beat this mission so my base got destroyed, the thing i did tho was sneak up the 2 kirovs from the left side of the map, they took heavy damage but they also had self repair so i waited for them to repair themselves every time they got injured lmao, and thats the cowardly way i won

you can put the 2 kirovs IN FRONT of your defense line and command it to attack the ground
any enemy infantry unit will die and the tanks will be damaged and you can put more kirov if you want to cover fully the enemy units path and I put 7 kirovs(command it to attack next to each other not in 1 place spread it a little) and only Apocalypse get through and its just one shoted by tesla coil.
make 10 flack track for the enemy kirov dont worry it wont attack your defense line you can place the the flack track way back and make flak canon for the other side I made 12 and the 2 fully promoted apocalypse .
and you can win it ASAP just land the nukes in the kremlin youll be done much more earlier.
its like a cheat since youre against a computer program made in 2000
I usually leave the Tesla Coils and Flak Cannons and destroy only the reactors. :P
you dont need to do that. very easy for me this mission. i just only use two of my ballon and win

Get the hill and plant lots of defend there, use the kirov with cont-attack on the top and mid and narrow road not

What was that at the beginning of the mission? The worst positions for your rocket launchers I can't even imagine. You spent too much time on tesla towers.
I think it was the best build order for this mission
@@zoom3000 wrong. You should have concentrated fire of four or five launchers on 1 tower from below. It is obvious.
