It seems to me that taking the occasional hit is to be expected... and in some of those runs it was more like aiming for the least destructive than actually steering a course. That was well done! Hat's off to those guys... and the folks who shot and edited the video.
I don't recognize the rivers, but I'm guessing, based on the shape of the boats, the beautiful sky, the lush vegetation, and the way the trucks look... that this is New Zealand... South Island. ...Eh?
