Los Buzos has just made history as Adam Fisk recently leadered an estimated 450lb black marlin from his Jackson Coosa FD kayak! We are hearing that this is the largest marlin ever brought to leader from a kayak and the first in Panama!
Billfish of all kinds are prevalent in our area and come very close to shore. We have landed several sailfish this year and had a few shots at marlin. In April this year we saw marlin almost every single day, some were close to 1000 pounds. We confirmed sightings of both blue and black marlin. With Los Buzos only being in its first year of full time operation and already landing a marlin, it is safe to say we have a world class fishery right in our backyard!

This is almost as cool as the bluegill I caught from my kayak today. One of them was almost a pound.

My daughter and I will be there this coming up January. Vacation, FINALLY! We're hoping to find Robert there and land some nice story telling stories when we come back. My daughter and I have been following Robert since his last trip, and now we're hooked! That was a 5 hour fighting gorgeous sailfish you landed. Can't wait. Tight lines never stop brother!

Marlin one of the coolest fish and most scariest.
Awesome work mate!! I’ve just switched up from the Jackson Krakken 15.5 to the Coosa FD. A lot of the waters I fish here in Oz get pretty rough, pretty quick, have you got any other vids with the Coosa in offshore conditions (rougher). How do you compare it to the paddlers.

I've been fishing all my life and I thought you have to actually catch the fish for it to count. I lost all kinds of fish at the side of the boat and they never counted. I don't know lol
Kc Marshall Marlin are a heavily regulated sport fish. the IGFA has codified Release Rules to encourage their conservation. A legal catch and release would be the angler touching the leader and the swivel hitting the rod tip.
See I didn't know that. I went to Mexico and we didn't catch and release the sailfish we were catching. Beautiful fish man. The slay ride had to be crazy lolz
i emailed and tentantively booked for January! Waiting on info to be sent so I can send my deposit. though, I'm a little worried that this covid crap won't be over yet and could get cancelled. One way or another, I'll be there in 2021!
