2018. Still the best.
Best game of the NFS series.
This runs smoother on Voodoo than on a modern GPU
Probably because the program was created around the capabilities and quirks of products available at that time lol not stuff like the Nvidia RTX 2060

This is awesome. Almost the exact rig I had back in the day. Lolz. I know these tracks like the back of my hand. Loved how you could choose between racers or cops.. So many mods. Oh the memories. 😆

Ah tha memories, working at Wendy's and playing this on my Pentium 2 in 2000.
The Americans almost 'Got the idea' of the UK British themed 'Durham Road' but not quite... Apart from the right hand drive cars driving on the left side of the road. They got some of the road signs and most of the road markings correct with the classic British 'Keep left' plastic boxes but we certainly don't have an 80mph speed limit. And we don't wrap all our flyover pillars in yellow/black caution stripes. Only our 'Low bridge' markings have those on them. And underneath our tunnel passes we have lots of square shaped white/peach/amber coloured floodlights all mounted along the top sides of the tunnel rather then one long fluorescent white light running through the middle. And we wouldn't have a 'Zebra crossing' on a fast road it would have to be 30mph. Apart from that the yanks didn't do a bad job of mimicking us. The Police Accents are a bit too 'Posh' and a bit Judy Denchy for a bog standard Brit but nice try.

The zebra crossing is on the two-lane country-road section. And zebra crossings can be found on any roads, except motorways.

As soon the green was on the vocals started playing, the game is taking you into another world as you blast though the tight corners and avoiding the cops going over 250 km/h...

it is possible and you may even be able to run it in 4k if you find a way to upscale it

the pursuit in PS version was a challenge while in PC version wasn't
however tha PC version has NFS 3 Track and Convertible Cars along with higher Framerates which u don't get on tha PS1 version
Also, the pc version has a proper cockpit view with dashboard dials, while the ps1 only has a cockpit view if you enter a cheat code, and it uses the 3rd person cockpit, which is just a pixeled mess and has no dashboard dials.
But the rubberbanding sucks ass, FORTUNATELY it´s not existent in the NFS 3 and HS PC releases.
More than a challenge i would say an unfair mess.

Nope this is the pcversion, there are no police radio in the PS version only a cop shouting. Plus in the pcversion the cops does not patroling plus there are no helicopter after what i know.

I got this game for free off of www.myabandonware.com. You just need to download some extra patches to make the 3rd person car windows transparent. The mods/patches I downloaded are the modern patch, which fixes the windows, and the high poly mod, which allows you to download high poly car mods.

how the hell did the PS1 version manage to pull off a much more accurate looking 911 model compared to the pc version? this always bothered me when playing them back to back lol

Because they are two different cars! Even the Mclaren despite having the same name the PC model is the one from 1995 and PS1 has the one from 1997.
@@sebastianaliandkulche Actually no, both Porsches in PC and PS1 versions are the 1996 Turbo (993), unlike the McLaren F1 in PS1 its the longtail version.

You need to add a FPS counter to your captures (eg using Fraps), that would make them more interesting

NFS 2 was released in 1997, High Stakes in 1999.

@Rinkuri Ichi Well, let's see... NFS 3 tracks not included, graphics not really improved compared to NFS 3 on PS1, cop mode without a real team by your side, career mode with far less trophies, cars don't take damage at all... Shall I go on? 🤔
No 8 lap tracks, AI has rubberbanding, less real car info, no cockpit view, less camera options, traffic only spawns in front of the player instead of the entire map and have a tendecy of turning into the player direction.
Cars are stiff and have inconsistent physics and doesnt mesh well with the track design or the pursuit mode, High Stakes mode isnt mandatory so it could just be called "NFS4 Championship edition", there is no way to play pursuit and single race without career restrictions, less game modes, test drive is unnecesary, one of the worst framerates i ever seen, less cars, no online, tracks have less decorative elements (for example Durkham Road doesnt hace the fence that acts as an obstacle).
In the PS1 version, you can still had anothers cop cars to help by clicking a button and the damage still exist only in a texture form.
Why Voodoo? Any $5-10 used GPU can outperform 6000 easily.
Also why 98? XP keys/COAs are cheap, good enough for legacy gaming.
Because that's not how this channel works ;-) It's about gaming with voodoo-cards.
I'm pretty sure NFS 4 doesn't play well together with modern GPU's...
