After watching too many British snack videos where people taste the worst of English food, I thought it was about time to set the record straight! This video follows one mans attempt to share the best of British "candy" that you should hunt down if you visit the UK. From the elegance of the French Fondant Fancy, the mystery of the Jaffa Cake to the might of the chocolate Hob Nob. We've got you covered...

My husband just got back from working in the UK. He brought back some of the items you suggested. We tried jaffa cakes, the prawn cocktail crisps, and the cherry bakewells. He also bought the viennese whirls but ate them while he was there haha! Our number 1 favorite is the cherry bakewells!!! OMG those were so good!!! Thanks for the suggestions! We loved the video!

Enjoyed this! So many I haven’t tried. Jaffa Cakes sound delish - how strange that a “cake” isn’t taxed, but a biscuit is...? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Toronto has some shops carrying British snacks and candies so will make a visit when possible... 🙌🏼

Hi I'm a big fan love your sense of humor and lovely insight on almost everything except Mr Kipling French fondant this is what I picked up very excited about it as I imagine the lovely tea culture the British have and they love their sweet cakes. But this fondant fools you this is extremely sweet and tasteless imagine me being an Indian actually felt it was very sweet. I don't know if little moons would qualify for a British snack but yes that was great stuff. That would be my recommendation.

Thank the food gods, we are able to get chocolate (and plain) HobNobs quite easily here in Canada. They are definitely #1. We are familiar with Cadbury mini-eggs here as well, BUT, as we discovered in London during Easter 2019, the British ones are drastically superior. The chocolate is better, as is the candy coating. There's just something missing in the Canadian version!
