John is one of my all time favorite recording artists. He launched the careers of so many blues musicians including Clapton!!! He records almost one album a year for the past 60 years. And the last 2 were still really good. He still performs live and is sooooo talented. He can really play the harmonica as well. His song, Room to Move was very popular on radio and probably one of his biggest hits.
John Mayall, what a legend. I was introduced to his music by two brothers I knew from school. I am SO GLAD. The John Mayall's Blues Breakers fostered so many great musicians. This track & album are both superb. I agree "Room to Move" next.
Yes he had a few guitar players lol starting with Peter Green of Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac the original band aand both Mic Fleetwood and Bass player John Mcvie were also members, The theres Eric Clapton,Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page plus Mick Taylor to name just a few HGes known as the godfather of British Blues and most of these people got their start with him
The best rabbit hole you could find. Delve into his ground breaking Turning Point album which has been polled as one of the top 25 albums of all time. I’m also partial to his live 70th birthday album.
The other lead guitarist is Buddy Whittington, who played with John for 10+ years. He now plays in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas, and he’s still awesome.

My dad loved him.
Rest in peace, John. The greatest
One of my dad’s favourites.
Put it on my phone and on my dad’s pillow as he was dying. He seemed to let go peacefully. Thank you John Mayall

Buddy Whittington is the man with the red guitar.
Thanks. He nearly stole the show.
Great blues are in store with John Mayall; throw in Gary Moore and we get perfection.
