I agree with you that the Hulk has a better band and clasp, which I can appreciate - and the glide lock is brilliant, as you can make fine adjustments to center the clasp to the back of your wrist. I guess the best of both worlds is to have a Kermit face and Hulk links - that would be strong!!

I have both pieces in my collection as well. I feel like the Kermit is more sleek but the Hulk is simply awesome. I also realize that in about 15 years my Hulk will be "modern vintage" anyway...just need to keep wearing and enjoying it, and let the time pass!
Kermit without a doubt, lucky I have a 2003 Flat 4 & also a 2004 & a Hulk . The Kermit’s are both “TRUE FULL SETS” along with 5x 50th Anniversary press kits & numerous green insets. The Kermit is way more wearable, sleeker looking , the Hulk feels like I’ve got a Brick strapped to my wrist ... a huge chunk of metal that screams out “ Look at me”
I would most certainly love both watches and would be proud to own and wear both, but out of the two i prefer the Hulk more for both looks, build quality and the technology behind it. Thank you for another excellent video.

Ok first I am fortunate to own both. Kermit for a long time. I love this watch and rarely go without getting complimented when worn. I have fancier watches and more expensive that go in noticed. I recently got a deal on a Hulk I couldn't pass up. I am in love, I agree with the comments on the solid more modern feel. I love the glidelock deployment. The dial is amazing. Cons the Kermit is such a collector peice I rarely wear it. I see myself wearing the Hulk as more of a daily piece. Having said that I felt like I was cheating on my Kermit and put down the Hulk for her today. Watch addict for sure great video.
I have two subs, the hulk and a '89 black dial 16610. It is true that the hulk has more presence but my tritium dial 16610 has such a great patina that makes me wear it as well. Incredible collection, thanks for the great videos!
Both watches are absolutely class, the black dial definitely is more sleek in some sense however in my personal opinion, I prefer the iconic submariner dial whilst having an eye catching color like that gorgeous Irish green tint to it. There are way too many watches with a black dial and although black and green go hand in hand on the Cermit, I must admit that the reason I purchased the Hulk was solely because it is more unique. Wonderful video!
I dont like the angular look of the current Submariner case, for me it destroys the proportions. Also I have smaller wrists and the watch looks sort of ridicolous on me, so I'd definitely choose the slimmer Kermit.
In my opinion the old reference has a fashion that the Hulk doesn't have, but I agree with you when say that materials of the new Rolex references are much better. However I prefer Kermit.
My only regret in 20 years of watch collecting is that I sold my Kermit. I purchased a Kermit when it first came out and sold it to fund a daytona a few years later. I totally regretted it. So tempted to purchase one to replace it but I think I have gone beyond Rolex in collecting and now have concentrated on more exquisite high horology pieces. Maybe one day when the over inflated prices drop, I may replace it. Great review. Enjoyed it very much..many thanks

This is really hard one If someday got chance to get one. At first I was def. liking Hulk more because how flashing and eye catching it is and better built but then slowly and surely started liking Kermit more because smaller size, less flashy but still really striking green bezel and deep dark dial.. Idk. It's like my heart says Kermit and my brain says Hulk. :D

I’d have to agree with you saying that modern Rolex is much more functional and a better everyday wear. Vintage and neo-vintage Rolex is absolutely stunning and are well-built but modern Rolex is just better in every tangible way. I think whatever makes you smile when you wear it is the way to go. I recently got a two tone Bluesy and despite it having gold, I’m not really “worried” about it being super pristine over the years. There’s something about it that really does make me smile and feel special wearing it. On the other hand I’ve tried a neo-vintage GMT Master ii and I noticed straight away the less solid clasp. I liked what it represents and appreciate how it’s still here but I’d be worried wearing it everyday.

Great video, thanks. I have both and you are spot on. The bracelet of the older Rolex are horrible. I was wearing my "Coke" circa 94 I believe the other day the bracelet actually was cutting into my wrist. Never happens with the new mods. My problem with either of these watches is that I always feel I have to match the green dials and bezel to some article of clothing. I rarely wear green. But, I am always looking for a polo type shirt that I can wear here in the Summer to wear the watches out. So, until then I guess I will just wear out the Batman.
I have a fully stickered HULK, they are both fantastic watches for different occasions. The Kermit especially if you can get a flat 4 bezel is very collectable and so will the Hulk be when it gets discontinued. Whichever one you have or even both enjoy wearing them.My personal choice is the Hulk, love the all green especially when the sunlight hits it!! Great information and comparison. Love both watches but i have more love for the Hulk as it has a ceramic bezel (Lunette) and the numbers are not printed (painted). The hulk has those nice platinum inlay numbers, just looks more fancy.
I actually prefer the Kermit. Hulk looks too beefed up and kinda silly. Though the ceramic bezel is an advantage, in my opinion the Kermit looks better overall. I don't care about hollow links on the bracelet because I have watches that are decades old with hollow links and thin clasps and they're still perfectly fine. Watch people obsess way too much over "modern" bracelets honestly.

The Kermit would be my choice, if it only depends on looks... in the perspective of quality, material and manufacturing process it would totally be the hulk. Not matter what both are a classic on their own. I kinda would like to see a black bezel with green dial... there are some mod out there and it looks amazingly weird
With the release of the 126610LV, it got me curious about the original one. So ...... I pulled the trigger on a 16610LV. Now that I’ve got both the Hulk and Kermit, I’ve come to like the Kermit more as the bulk and weight of the Hulk gets uncomfortable after a few hours. Of course, the Hulk definitely feels more of a quality product than the Kermit.
To buy one of the two for sure you have to like green colour. I do not like green colour but i think every Rolex that has the green corporate colour like also the Air King must be collected

Great timepieces. The dial of Hulk is definitely top notch, looks better than that of Kermit. Kermit is also superb and it actually reminds me of what Tudor is doing nowadays. Making neo Vintage divers, Black Bay.
I prefer the Kermit, and would like to see it re-released with better quality materials and bracelet. The Hulk is a watch I want to like, but I just don't love it. Also, are you still going to service the Kermit? I noted you don't intend to have it polished. Why is this?
Love everything about the Hulk, but I love the shine of the Kermit bezel but as you said the Kermit is not built like the Hulk, so I would have to say Hulk.
Personally the hulk has grown on me a lot. However I am still not a huge green watch fan. I prefer the classic black dial or the smurf I think is beautiful. But I can see how many people love and desire that watch
I didn't see you mention anything about the case difference?? Lugs maybe??? This is pretty important info and a major difference between the two yes, something I thought would be included in a comparison video. I mean maybe you forget the crown guards but the case ?????.
They do look very different. The Kermit has a vintage look to it. Personally, I prefer the Hulk. It has a contemporary look to it while retaining the iconic submariner look.

Great timepieces. The dial of Hulk is definitely top notch, looks better than that of Kermit. Kermit is also superb and it actually reminds me of what Tudor is doing nowadays. Making neo Vintage divers, Black Bay.
I prefer the Kermit, and would like to see it re-released with better quality materials and bracelet. The Hulk is a watch I want to like, but I just don't love it. Also, are you still going to service the Kermit? I noted you don't intend to have it polished. Why is this?

Love everything about the Hulk, but I love the shine of the Kermit bezel but as you said the Kermit is not built like the Hulk, so I would have to say Hulk.

Personally the hulk has grown on me a lot. However I am still not a huge green watch fan. I prefer the classic black dial or the smurf I think is beautiful. But I can see how many people love and desire that watch

I didn't see you mention anything about the case difference?? Lugs maybe??? This is pretty important info and a major difference between the two yes, something I thought would be included in a comparison video. I mean maybe you forget the crown guards but the case ?????.

They do look very different. The Kermit has a vintage look to it. Personally, I prefer the Hulk. It has a contemporary look to it while retaining the iconic submariner look.
