THANK YOU FOR TAKING TIME TO MAKE VIDEO. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE COMMENTS AND RESPONSES. was looking at this machine , the talon and X3. Since have found out that X3 guys complain about bending the suspension and how u need aftermarket stuff. Now this with the XP. Still doing research on all. Guess ill stick with my 2016 900S a lil longer. Solid overall machine. Honestly just wanted a better suspension.......
I had the same thing happen with my RS1. My wife put it on it's side on memorial day 2019. I was told the frame was on back order and they (polaris dealer I purchased from) submitted a VDO (vehicle down order) a few days later I heard back from the dealership, there are no frames available they are on backorder, but we expect to have 1 for you by September 25 2019. Not sure when it actually came in but I picked my machine up October 25th. It's out of your hands now, all you can do is wait. It sucks but it is what it is. If they are replacing the roll cage which they should. You might consider upgrading it since they are paying to replace it anyway. My .02 pennies. Hope it all works out! Sucks not knowing when it will be ready for action again. Good luck!
Spent five years as a technician with babbitts sport center near silver lake sand dunes, from my hands on experience from 2012-2017 the design and execution of the machines were greatly improved while the build quality went down hill at the same rate. Replacing all the ball joints and bushings due to excessive play, blown out wheel bearings, worn secondary clutches and smoked primaries, consistent wire harness repair for injectors and tmap sensors, front differential failures left and right all within 800-1500 miles is unacceptable. They have the market covered on performance and apparently in this world that’s all it takes to put up with the poor build quality. Bummer on the new unit being so fragile, I feel your pain man.
I bought a brand new Highlifter 1000 spent first 3 months in the shop with repairs it was a Nightmare computer clutch and cams all shot zero run time I had the lemon of lemons and the motor has rattled form day one never seen such shoddy work and such poor design.
Good information, To the points and easy..I almost purchased this exact machine, in the end went with the Honda Talon....Thanks for the look from an owner's view.
I have one and so far have not had any issues replacing parts if you go through Rocky Mountain ATV you will see OEM parts usually take 5-7 days to get and not that expensive. pays to do research. UTV's are expensive toys though. gotta pay to play.
Been riding off road for 40 years well aware that it’s an expensive hobby when my troubles began there was no oem parts available on Rocky Mountain or anywhere else for the xp pro except polaris and dealing with polaris is unpleasant at best
As a polaris tech I have always strongly advised against the brand for anyone that doesnt just have money to burn, the initial performance and user friendliness of the machines draws people to them but after even 20 hours on most of their machines the quality starts to show, all I can say is polaris is making a ton of money on the margins they have on parts and the machines themselves. Lol
@@offroadfunz6094, sorry to hear, I had my son, myself, spare tire rack & tire, normal turn n lightem, just flopped, so slow, I was so bummed, I broke one tab, found the ear, not the plastic yet lol. Bent tab, scratched, but no major, took off spare, working on relocating on rear, I totally feel for ya..
@@offroadfunz6094 Sorry, I'm not buying it. 3 mph is a brisk walking speed; IF you rolled it at walking speed (doubtful), it would not have done that much damage. As far as parts availability, yes it's maddening, but it's very common with a new model; it takes time for the parts supply chain to materialize. Greed? I don't know about that, but your point is well taken. The video is good in that it points out not only the parts availability (or lack thereof), but also the ridiculous pricing. But hey, that's no different than many vehicles on the market today. But 3 mph? Nope.
Gary also Polaris has basically unlimited resources they choose parts suppliers and place the orders for parts they choose to leave their customers out in the cold and that sir is bad business
Off road fun Z my “3 mph” rollover caused a 1 in crack in my finder flare. my other significantly faster rollover and slide probably going 17-20 mph ripped the rear fender off. still don’t understand how a “3 mph” rollover bent both radiators, destroyed all plastics on that side and bent frame.. very hard to believe
Hope everything works out for you man. Sucks when shitty things happen to the honest good folks while the rich get ten richer. I as well as others really appreciate this review.
I flipped my 2010 polaris rzr and nothing happened, the door bent in a little bit but that was pretty easy to fix, I do believe as time goes on, they make them cheaper quality to get you to buy new machines and it's pretty bullshit that's the only thing keeping me from buying a pro xp
3 miles a hour? This is a new production so of course it is going to cost more to get parts but I don't see how a rollover, especially at 3 mph destroyed radiators or the frame. I just see plastic damage. Another question. Why do you roll over so many rzrs? We have had rzrs all the way back to the 800 and then 900, 1000xp, 1000xp turbo dynamix, and now the 2020 Ultimate. We have never rolled one ever. Just turn into your insurance company and get it paid for and get something else. Of course you can't get parts when it is a new model and still in production and high demand. We love ours by the way. Much beefier suspension and a great ride so far.
It’s great that you’ve never rolled one here’s some good advice if you do roll one don’t roll the ultimate because it’ll fold like it’s made of eggshells
Did the same to mine. I have a 2019 xp4 turbo s. I put it on its side at low speed and the roll cage bent, both radiators needed to be replaced, because the brackets put terrible bends in them, it broke several clips and a mount to my front headlight. I understand its heavy but was disappointed in the strength of the roll cage.
Yes I don’t know what they’re thinking at Polaris I’ve been a loyal customer for over 20 years spent well over 100,000$ with them and they quite simply do not care about product quality or their customer..... sad
I'll stick with my cfmoto zforce 800ex. I've put that thing in its top and side going about 35. Flipped it over picked up the fender flares that are held on by plastic rivets and drove it for another 5 hours each time with no issues. Only paid 11k for it brand new....
I understand wanting to maintain the stock configuration of a new machine, but I sure as hell wouldn’t be going back with stock, I’d be going back with metal body panels and wrapping the cage around to the front bumper for more security
Im 19, my 16year old friend drives a 2018 Ranger 570 EFI (With ProFit cab)...it shuts off when stopping (Once a front left axle broke after shifting to 2wd) and has all kinds of little problems, Never abused (No Mud, or anything)
I bought the last year or the2021 Polaris turbo s velocity edition. Have almost 2,000 miles on it and haven't had any issue with it yet other than service.
Glad I saw this, thank you for posting!! I was just about to pull the trigger on this machine. Now, I’m gonna wait a year or two for Polaris to come clean, or, I might pull the trigger on that sweet new KRX . Either way, I’m not buying a first year machine...good luck man!
I'm grabbing the KRX in a couple weeks...... haven't seen any bad complaints on that machine...... a few people not picking some things but overall great reviews on that one
my buddy rolled at 25 and it bent door mount and side plastic broke it looks more like you rolled alot faster then you claim and the radiator and intercooler wouldent be bent like that inless you crashed into something or yourolled on large rocks snyways hope you get it fixed and get back too ripping
That’s sucks ... I don’t really like the xp pro body style , my 2019 xp4 is awesome.. I think people get stuck on horsepower numbers and forget about everything else ..
You may not like the body but there is a lot about the overall design that is good. I do agree however that many seem to just want the highest HP machine.
On a positive note.. It's pretty easy to fix low range power.. Polaris Definetly detunes the low range... Go with an aftermarket tune to get full power in reverse. They detuned low in all prior rzr turbos.. I hate my 19 turbo low range. Glad to hear the chassis does handle better
Easy to fix yes but shouldn’t have to spend 500$ for a programmer when they should tune it to run properly at the factory especially for 25k should be ready to run ....... thieves
@@offroadfunz6094 your not wrong.. But I can see 9/10 people who would mess stuff up with full power in low. Detuning them in low helps with making the driveline last. If/when superatv come out with a tune.. It should only be around 300.
I feel your frustration and pain. I have the 1st rzr 2008 RZR 800 and I have rolled it about 3 times. I drive it hard over logs, small trees and it still keeps on ticking. I have over 6,500 miles and still runs good. Quality has gone down hill ever since then. Keeping my 2008 RZR 800. As of Nov 2019 I still have the original belt on it and it still looks good. But it sure looks TINY sitting next to my girlfriends new 2017 Polaris 1000XP high lifter. LOL.
Because the rzr have roll cages doesn't mean they are immune to damage. If YOU made it out alive the Roll Cage did what it was suppose to do!! It protected You.
Rs1 same deal if you roll. Front to back on its side light roll. Every PC plastic and back rack and roof shattered, frame PCs twisted. End of day they belong on all fours but when it happens, 11g to fix plastics etc is redicilous.
Martorious Martuzzi #44 agree should keep it on all 4 wheels but a low speed roll over on soft dirt should not be close to 11k in damage polaris quality and durability is in the toilet
@@offroadfunz6094 I hear you, our roll was on very slow speed into soft dirt and was shocked at how much damage it caused, I got rid of it right after. But sure loved how that rs1 rode.
Yes I did the same exact thing only it was the passenger side, not up on the roof! I found you can’t get many parts yet here either, I did get the front fender plastics not the rear
Phil of the Outdoors if you really want to feel bad about your decision to give polaris your hard earned money try calling the owner connection customer service line .... one word sums it up..... INCOMPETENCE
LOL, yah I called when I started having the issue with the belt slipping in High gear, and they just said I can take it to a dealer for a "soft inspection", I think that is how she phrased it, regardless it is sad that you pay a large sum of money and there these kind of issues right at the start. However, I still love this thing, super fast, nimble, will climb some stuff I didn't think was possible, I'm just going hope that I don't roll it again, or it may become a rock buggy!
Phil of the Outdoors yeah I ordered the aftermarket assassins secondary spring and primary shim supposed to be here tomorrow funny polaris claims the Xp pro was field tested more extensively than any vehicle they’ve ever produced and yet they still have stupid, preventable problems my faith in polaris as a company is gone
I know, I especially agree when it come to the exterior pieces, I had to pull the top door mount over 2 inches and the hinge had to be adjusted as well from a light roll over. I'm a welder/fabricator, not a great one, but understand how something can be made stronger and still be lighter, those pieces probably should be gusseted better just to start, that probably doesn't cover what has happen to yours, but that's just what I see on mine.
Your complaint about the turbo lag under 20 mph is legit, but you can’t really compare falls the way you do in the vid. No two falls are are same and I had a proper multiple roll dune accident on my pro Xp where there wasn’t even a scratch.
sorry a lot of people don't believe your account of what happened, its sad it did'nt hold up better. Hopefully you can get it resolved and back on the trail without much money lossed. be safe!
Smart move on the insurance my buddy hit a perfectly place rock and messed up his oil drain causing it to leak and it did Frame damage ass well he was thinking they would total it out but they didn’t repaired the frame replaced the motor 11 k$ labor and parts done at dealer lot of people get these 18-30$k machines and don’t get insurance on them and do what he did and you did then there stuck with a shop bill they can’t pay good honest review man that’s one reason I didn’t get Polaris they are so big when you need them they don’t have time for you unless your buying another one I told the dealer few months back y’all don’t need any new customers if you can’t take care of the ones y’all already had
We’re you in 4 wheel drive I was in my 900s 2019 at phsst just say 5mph turn to sharp an ripped back left fender off had plastic weld an ear back on it and bent door bar lol I just drove it up against a tree an put ratchet strap on bar an around tree an ratcheted the bar out until door could shut
Almost bought one but decided to go with Kawasaki krx 1000 looked at what you have and Honda Those Polaris have a better throttle response but I just thought I got lill more for my money with the Kawasaki krx like doors bead locks thanks for the review honest review need more of them !
Same situation for my older xp1k. The whole rear, left side and right side fenders were destroyed from a small roll. Nothing has changed. Insurance quote was 15k for repairs. Same story as every rzr and x3. Not sure why some people here are siding with the x3. They're even worse and can-am is worse with customer satisfaction
I just had a similar roll over with similar damage to my 21 pro xp and was wondering if they welded new door brackets to the frame? Mine is going to the shop tomorrow.
I've been a loyal polaris fan sence I seen the first polaris that was sold in Oklahoma I've had a lot over the years I currently own 5 now my good friend purchased a can am x3 about a year ago and it has me thinking about making a change he goes everywhere I go and after a few hours hes ready to keep going when my son and i are ready for a nap and a Massage we have 2 rzr s that are identical twins Polaris had better play catch up real quick or I know a guy that's getting 2 new X3s
i was torn on buying one of these been a polaris guy for years so when i bought my first can am x3 i was kinda question the buy but after im glad i did ride so much better handles better better mpg way better build tham any popo ive had
I had similar issues with Polaris help phone, my 2015 sportsman 1000xp kept catching stuff on fire, debris collecting on the muffler caught fire numerous times, the fenders caught fire from the muffler, then the front differential input bearing plate exploded, then voltage regulator catches fire, then 3 more after the first voltage regulator caught fire, so most I've seen outta Polaris is a heat sheild update kit, that's the only thing Polaris has done with all my bikes issues, oh wait, it also spits out brake pads,, ya that's safe right. Polaris has the right price, awesome machines with all the bling and fancy features you could ever ask for... BUT.... they dont build quality products and they DONT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY BUILD. If you get hurt they're only concern is if there's gonna be a lawsuit. I'm in the market for a new high end snowmobile and I really like what Polaris offers, but I know I'd be even more STUPID to buy another Polaris. YAMAHA OR SKIDOO OR IM WALKING, FUCK IT.
I’ve been talking with a manager in owner connection and I might as well talk to the wall absolutely no concern for customer satisfaction you’re the first person to say they’re good
Polaris quality control has always been suspect from day one. I will never buy from this company. The ride is generally excellent but breakage and maintenance is always out of control.
For everything? To be honest i have two 2016 Sportsman 570s (for my lady and me) and i have zero issues with them, i only have 1200 trail miles on them but so far so good, Winter in 10s and Summer in 90s and they ride good. I got an XP Pro ultimate based on that experience so i hope it at least as good as the quads....
Im 19, my 16year old friend drives a 2018 Ranger 570 EFI (With ProFit cab)...it shuts off when stopping and has all kinds of little problems, Never abused always Serviced at expensive af Polaris service (No Mud, or anything)
Great video...The exact reason I sold my 2018 rzr turbo is they are way too top heavy. I put mine on its side the fist day I owned it. Sold it last year for a 2019 x3.The rzr is a not even close to the x3 in every way...except for the blind spots. I can live with that knowing it won't roll on corners.
Our 2016 RZR turbo has cost over 15 K in repairs with there junk they build. My 2016 Yamaha YXZ has been a rock star. Can you say class action suit for the crap Polaris sells
Great review, i went through the same situation when i needed parts for the new 1000 engine(2014). Started looking in September and didnt see any parts until March. Only thing available was the entire engine.
Chad Delaurier bad business practice in my opinion they certainly have the resources to support their products but they don’t and that’s by choice not by chance absolutely no regard for their customers
@@offroadfunz6094 you liked the old RZR, it had the same issues it's first year, No parts available. I work for a company that builds/supplies parts for the snowmobile industry. Every manufacturer has issues the first year it doesn't matter if it's a toy or the truck you haul it with. Maybe for your next toy you should wrap it with an exoskeleton. I worked for Polaris a few years ago my mom worked for them for over 20 years my sister welded frames for Polaris for almost a decade. When I seen the new design I said that it's going to be expensive if you lay it over. The plastic just sits out to far. I agree that quality has gone down but not drastically unless you're machine came from the mexico plant which has more bad machines than good ones come out of it. Polaris is extremely understaffed and it's a race to keep up with demand every time a new model comes out that's why you wait, it's not just Polaris that has that issue, everyone does. I grew up with Yamaha and Ski-doo primarily. I've seen issues with every brand. I know multiple test engineers for Polaris and they beat on everything from every manufacturer they all have issues you pick what you like and hope you get lucky and don't crash them. Me personally I'd buy a Kawasaki krx if you want the strongest chassis. They overbuilt it. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the talon I looked at. It could have been a bad one but I wouldn't expect the chassis to last with hard riding and the front a-arms are trash.
Knallkoper Morder it’s because of people like you making excuses and accepting lousy business practices that we have lousy products and lousy customer service as long as people accept terrible products and no product support why would these arrogant billion dollar companies bother to care you’re either part of the solution or part of the problem you sir are not part of the solution
@@offroadfunz6094 I didnt make an excuse, I just understand the business field I work in. When a new product launches there's not an over abundance of spare parts because the parts are being made on demand. We don't build 200,000 of the same part and sit on it in a warehouse like companies used to, (that destroyed thousands of companies) we run a day or two ahead of the plant it saves the companies and the consumer's money. As for reliability of new products, Polaris dumps thousands of hours into testing before the products get released to the market. that's 10's of millions of dollars into a machine that may very well flop in sales. The amount spent on products that get r&d'd and tested and never get used pushes that number exponentially higher. If you want a machine to be released with an extra two years of working out every issue that machines price is going to triple or the company will go belly up. It'd be nice to buy a machine that's perfect from day 1 but how many people could afford to buy it... Not enough to keep the company in business. Do you know why Polaris has been buying up every company they can? It's because they need the income from other areas with better profit margins. Do you know what happened to Polaris and Arctic Cat when they didn't diversify the company they got bought out by Textron luckily for Polaris the employee's bought the company back after Textron ran it into the ground completely, and they launched the Indy line and the company exploded then it was going down again until the sxs boom happened. We all want a perfect product from day 1 as a consumer but it's just not possible, look at the auto industry you want the best car built to the highest standard you're paying over 1mil. And the companies the build those cars are owned by huge diversified companies or they make very limited numbers and Jack the price up two to three times that to keep their companies afloat. Polaris Honda and Yamaha are big enough that they in theory could release that RZR at 95% but it would probably cost 80k+ and they could only make a certain amount a year. Most new machines are released around 85% because the consumer's buying which feeds the company and figuring out the last few bugs doesn't cost the companies as much, that is why machines get recalled and fixed at the companies expense which doesn't hurt you as the consumer it hurts the company and every employee who has to put in 6-7 day a week shifts as they watch their yearly bonus shrink.
Knallkoper Morder still sounds like excuses to me I can assure you that if the resources that Polaris has were afforded to me I would most certainly build a better product with better support they quite simply choose to short change their customers
CRAP, That sucks! How did you damage the radiator at 3 mile per hour without the front end being smashed? I wish you would of taken pictures of your roll over...Sorry for your loss!!!!
11K In damages!!! I just got rod knock in my 2013 XP900 and a complete engine rebuild isn't even half of that. We are looking to buy a second RZR and when the Pro came out I loved it! Then I test drove one in glamis and hated the way it sat. Poor vision compared to the older models and if the frames are as awful as this seems then 2019 Turbo here I come lol
That sux. I also would question 3mph. Mines only 18 turbo but it's only 15 bucks a month full coverage through geico. Sounds a lot easier. They took care of 7k on my 4 wheeler no questions asked.
Might be cheaper than that. Just looked. 28.99 next month for 19 Outlander 1000r xtp , 19 renegade xmr 1k, and 18 rzr turbo. Full coverage. This whole thing would have only cost you 500 bucks.
Wished I had one until I watched this. I'm going to buy a 17-19 used 1000xp for 10-12k$ and beat the piss out of it without worrying..man I'm sorry for what happened to your beautiful ride. Breaks my heart to see this new epic machine built like an egg. What a shame. Next step I would do after the repairs happen would be to exo cage it.
Just remember that my Sportsman XP 1000 goes in to low power mode when in low gear but on it no problem it still has more than enough but on the atv I can see that 90 HP in low would be way too much. On your Pro they must be cutting the power back to save on drive train strain .
Yes probably a mistake but it would take a complete rework to fix the weak points on this machine and I really doubt if polaris will spend the time and money to rework a brand new design so just a warning to prospective buyers they may want to consider a different machine cause the xp pro is bad news
@@offroadfunz6094 so why you buy it man? I just sold my rzr and going to order x3. I'm sorry you are despondent from the machine. for me polris lost it many years ago.
This over hyped under built machine incurred 11k in damage at a very low speed roll if it was 30 mph as you suggest it would most certainly be totaled and in the scrap pile where it came from
sucks this happened, im wondering if you got a "bad one", ive seen people smoke trees going about 60, hit that same spot, frame still stood stright, they had a bent trailing arm mind you, and the plastics were mangled, but the frame was fine. is it a possibility you rolled on a rock?
Interesting point of view and I think as these things become more complex and car like, price goes up. As these things become more competitive they may rush new stuff out the door. Hope you get it all sorted and out having fun soon, but it's something for all of us to think about. I may need to reevaluate my insurance.
Thanks all I’m trying to say is that if I had all of the resources available to me that polaris has and if I called myself the industry leader like polaris does I would build a better product and I would not release the product to the public until full product support was in place seems like common sense to me but obviously not to polaris they have lost their way
@@offroadfunz6094 Definitely, I mean that is the point right? The market driver is the rich guy who has all the crap and drives it like he is going to work. I see it out there all the time. Thanks for your video! A lot to think about.
Everyone wants to bash Polaris, but many don’t have the experience that you do. In 2010 I bought a sportsman 850XP new, after constant problems the front a arm snapped, and totaled the unit. I have owned 6 can ams since then, no real issues after multiples years of racing, flash forward to 2019 and I own a 2017 Polaris ranger northstar, and despite my hopes, nothing has changed, it still has the same poor built quality and unreliable traits. Back to can-am for me. I have owned Polaris top of the line machines in the category (sportsman and ranger) with nothing but issues
This is true just happened to me yesterday I barely flipped it on its side and broke a axel the arm control and the doors plastics everything broke Frame got little weird (xp4) pro
Wow, Thank you for this video. I was literally about to spend 30K on this machine. My concerns have been answered in your video. I guess I'm going to go look at the Kawasaki KRX this week. It's the next one on my list. I like the Talon but I have concerns about the tire size and how it will handle on the trails with larger tires. Kawi looks pretty tough though.
Yeah man trading my yxz1000r for the KRX in a couple weeks..... been researching the shit out of them...... and barely any complaints on those...... a few people nitpicking but nothing major..... I was eyeballing the Polaris but way to many complaints on them
@Armando I did and the thing was a straight Cadillac very roomy and a definite work horse in the trails....people call them cheat code like Nintendo 😀...... but I traded it for the Can Am RC RR....and performance wise Was much better but not so much on visibility and comfort.....The KRX was definitely a stellar machine in my opinion
So did the actual 2inch frame bend? Or just the door? I just got mine today and i was pissed at the assembly of it. My buddy and I had to take a lot of the plastic off and reassemble it. The plastic in a lot of areas had gaps and you could tell that’s not where it was supposed to be. For some reason it died while we were riding it no clue why. Who should I email? Also, how did you wire your light bar up? Did you run the wires inside the frame?
Yes the frame bent and I’m in northern Ohio it landed in soft dirt just imagine what would happen out west in some rocky terrain the plastics on this machine are junk all of the mounting tabs snapped right off and the white pieces are 400$ each I’ve been a loyal Polaris customer for over 20 years my faith in the company and their products is gone I will never buy another Polaris you can call the owner connection customer service line but don’t expect much help and yes I ran the wires inside the cage
Look at the thickness of your frame tubes they make such a big deal about their 2 inch tubes but they’re so thin I don’t care what they’re made of they’re going to bend they claim to be the industry leader ha what a sad joke they used to be not anymore
Well I feel that I’m in that same bucket. Again, I don’t like the plastic or the doors on this thing and if the frame really is that weak then that’s pathetic. I’ve only got less than a mile on mine but had some clutch noise. Any noise that you’ve noticed?
I would have called RZR sharp customs. You could have built a chassis setup vs 11k on more garbage parts. I have personally seen and have myself rolled a xp1000 with no issues at all. Even a moderate speed roll should not be 11k of damage. This is why when I upgraded a went to a X3
Just don’t buy new models or special editions that haven’t been out for a long time. My buddy bought a brand new Ford Focus RS when they first came out and in the first two months of owning it, he took a tire to the grill on the highway. Well his car ended up being in the shop for 8 months because the car was so new they couldn’t get a front bumper, and this is Ford motor company! I doubt it’s greed, just how things are in manufacturing.
That’s what I thought too when it went over my initial reaction was ok no big deal I’ll just get it back upright and be on my way that’s the point of the video Polaris claims this is the best and strongest rzr they’ve ever built and I can tell you for sure it cannot even survive a low speed roll over on soft dirt without major damage it’s garbage the old rzr xp was much more robust in my personal experience
@@offroadfunz6094 Cage didn't looked damaged, plastic that has 1800lbs crush it isn't going to hold up from any manufacturer. I keep reading your replies and really think you should consider selling your SxS's as there is no current model that wont take on damage from a roll over. Over maybe you need a custom exo-cage if you plan to keep flipping these on their side and or roofs.
FRANK RUSS you’re either part of the problem or part of the solution you frank are not part of the solution defending poor quality and poor business practices does nobody good
@@offroadfunz6094 I'm simply stating there is not a machine out there that will not have damage in the event of a roll over period. Plastic isnt meant to be crushed or bear weight. The way you come off in the video is literally making all these people think that a Polaris is garbage because you rolled yours and it got damaged. All your replies are basically calling Polaris straight trash. They didnt build these to be rolled, however they did build them to protect you in the event of a roll. No different then car manufacturers making crumple zones to absorb impact. Will you say a Ford is a piece of crap if you hit a wall and the frame collapses as it's designed for your safety? The Polaris kept you safe when you rolled it over doing whatever you were doing. It got damaged because you rolled it, not because it's a crappy unit. You are the problem, blaming a manufacturer for your inability to control a unit doing 3mph lol. Like I stated maybe you should find a new hobby friend. You have to pay to play. I would be thankful you walked away uninjured.
FRANK RUSS you can think what you want I’ve been riding off road for 40 years I’ve been a dealership technician for 30 years I know the difference between a well built machine and poor quality if you want to defend poor quality and bad business practices feel free but after all is said and done of course damage is expected from a crash but 11k from a low speed roll is too much I don’t know what you ride or if you ride but apparently you’re living in a different world than me
Never was a fan of Polaris, was looking at these the dealer ship yesterday while talking to the salesman about the numbers on taking ownership of a 2019 x3 xmr. Honda and recently can am have been surprisingly pleasant experiences with me.
Sorry to hear. Appreciate your honesty. Good insight
HE's not being honest!

What do think is the best brand for quality
YEZ BY Yamaha and Honda seem to have the best overall build quality and reliability
Love that place that were I bought my 17 ranger 900
I bought a brand new Highlifter 1000 spent first 3 months in the shop with repairs it was a Nightmare computer clutch and cams all shot zero run time I had the lemon of lemons and the motor has rattled form day one never seen such shoddy work and such poor design.
Randy Semroska yes it’s very sad that polaris claims to be the industry leader and builds sub standard products
Good information, To the points and easy..I almost purchased this exact machine, in the end went with the Honda Talon....Thanks for the look from an owner's view.
Ray Horvath Productions you’ll definitely be better off with the talon on the reliability and durability side
I have had the same " i don't care" attitude with Polokus customer service. I have no plans on ever buying Polaris ever again.
Gary Tyree loves the Polackus🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have one and so far have not had any issues replacing parts if you go through Rocky Mountain ATV you will see OEM parts usually take 5-7 days to get and not that expensive. pays to do research. UTV's are expensive toys though. gotta pay to play.
Been riding off road for 40 years well aware that it’s an expensive hobby when my troubles began there was no oem parts available on Rocky Mountain or anywhere else for the xp pro except polaris and dealing with polaris is unpleasant at best
Thanks for being true and honest. We all appreciate it
As a polaris tech I have always strongly advised against the brand for anyone that doesnt just have money to burn, the initial performance and user friendliness of the machines draws people to them but after even 20 hours on most of their machines the quality starts to show, all I can say is polaris is making a ton of money on the margins they have on parts and the machines themselves. Lol
I flopped my Talon on side, straightened tabs, realign door...few scratches...all good..same deal...3 mph..
Carver13 funny a lot of you tube geniuses think it’s impossible to put one on its side going slow
Has your talon held up?
there’s no way it has that much damage from a “3 mph” rollover
That’s what I thought too when it went over I thought ok no big deal don’t do that again and then it turned into an 11000 no parts to fix it nightmare
But 3 mph? Nope.
Gary don’t care if you believe it or not as i am still in disbelief myself at how poorly this thing is built
Awesome machine. Rolled mine also, plastic mounts snapped like tooth pics. Exoskeleton going on this weekend.
Hope everything works out for you man. Sucks when shitty things happen to the honest good folks while the rich get ten richer. I as well as others really appreciate this review.
Same thing happened to me and the cost was just north of 14K with a 3 month finish date.
James Jargo hoooooolllly
You are the first person I've heard say the pro looks better than any of the previous models.
It looks better in person than in pictures or videos
Hahaha totally.
That’s a tough break man. Good luck getting her right again.
Iam106racing I’d say most well built machines can handle a soft or moderate roll with minimal damage but not the xp pro
Guess Ill be keeping Old Faithfull now. my 2013 RZR 800 HO is going to be a keeper now...
Yea ppl just want power and speed! My xpk is plenty and does everything I need! Yea ppl dont do there research
You may not like the body but there is a lot about the overall design that is good. I do agree however that many seem to just want the highest HP machine.
Jay P the design may be ok but the execution is poor
It should only be around 300.
thmike only 3 hundred is said way too often by off road enthusiasts 😩 maybe the manufacturers should offer a properly tuned machine as an option
LOL.
Don S yes the early models were very tough and much less expensive the new one is overpriced and under built
if insurance works similar to a car, if replacement parts are deemed not available from an OEM source, they MUST total it.
I love Polaris and Can Am because I sell parts. I drive a Talon!
marshred LOL
That’s why I drive a Jeep. I sell parts as well and I’m not impressed with any of these golf carts
Same here marshred! I like some of the others, but I have a Talon 1000R, and I wouldn't change it for anything!
SMART MAN. Talon is well built
Have fun going slowwww
Just a nice honest video...I appreciate that!
DUNE YXZ I’m happy with my 2019 yxz love that thing
Jr Banshee I get it! I love my 2017! My buddy just bought a turbo 2019. I did a small video on it...
LOL!
Because the rzr have roll cages doesn't mean they are immune to damage. If YOU made it out alive the Roll Cage did what it was suppose to do!! It protected You.
Damage is expected when you hit something or roll it but too much damage for a light roll this thing is made of eggshells
Martorious Martuzzi #44 yes rs1 is awesome and actually built much better than the pro I’m keeping both I’ll just have to adjust my riding style
Yes I did the same exact thing only it was the passenger side, not up on the roof! I found you can’t get many parts yet here either, I did get the front fender plastics not the rear
Yeah good luck on the rear fender and how about the price of their crappy plastic? They are certainly proud of the junk they’re producing these days
You got lucky cause everyone else that has had an incident with the pro agrees with me that its far to fragile for an off road vehicle
Off road fun Z that’s very surprising to know. I’ll look into this! Nonetheless thanks for the vid!
sorry a lot of people don't believe your account of what happened, its sad it did'nt hold up better.
I sold my rzr and jumped over to a Yamaha yxz1000r ,1200 miles in and not had a single fault, never going back to Polaris
Maybe it’s to driver? Love mine no complaints here and I have tried to roll it jumped out done it all.
Put it on its side and see if you still love it
what kind of rear bumper is that?
Have you tried tuning the clutch to make the bottom end feel better?
We’re you in 4 wheel drive I was in my 900s 2019 at phsst just say 5mph turn to sharp an ripped back left fender off had plastic weld an ear back on it and bent door bar lol I just drove it up against a tree an put ratchet strap on bar an around tree an ratcheted the bar out until door could shut
Send this video to sxsblog Lots of wildcat xx rollovers and the doors still open

The frame will have to be replaced it’s a very poor design
@@offroadfunz6094 did insurance pay to have the frame replaced? I keep reading online that they will just total it, if there is any damage to frame.

I currently own 5 now my good friend purchased a can am x3 about a year ago and it has me thinking about making a change he goes everywhere I go and after a few hours hes ready to keep going when my son and i are ready for a nap and a Massage we have 2 rzr s that are identical twins Polaris had better play catch up real quick or I know a guy that's getting 2 new X3s
i was torn on buying one of these been a polaris guy for years so when i bought my first can am x3 i was kinda question the buy but after im glad i did ride so much better handles better better mpg way better build tham any popo ive had
I traded my turbo rr for a 2021 pro xp and can personally promise you, you made a mistake
Update? Did you sell it what would you recommend I like the talon but I also like canam
If I was to buy another it would be the regular xp tutbo
That suck Polaris has been really good to me see if you can get ahold of corporate. They are really good about stuff like that
I’ve been talking with a manager in owner connection and I might as well talk to the wall absolutely no concern for customer satisfaction you’re the first person to say they’re good
Sorry about what happen!!! But truly thank you 🙏 for your advice!!!
Bill B They sell 3x as many machines as any other company so you hear more because they sell a lot more

Did you finally get parts
If so How long did it take?
Our 2016 RZR turbo has cost over 15 K in repairs with there junk they build. My 2016 Yamaha YXZ has been a rock star. Can you say class action suit for the crap Polaris sells

Chad Delaurier bad business practice in my opinion they certainly have the resources to support their products but they don’t and that’s by choice not by chance absolutely no regard for their customers
Chad Delaurier cancel it
Chad Delaurier if you’re looking to throw away 25k you could just give it to me
That’s why I wait till at least the year after or longer before getting these new non current
ricter29 Polaris has been in business for a long time and they haven’t figured it out yet don’t think waiting a year will help
Good video man. Thanks for the insight 👍
Tony Damjanov you should probably stay away from the pro it’s very poorly built
Bro! That happened to my friend once after he got stuck in 6 feet of snow at the top of the mountain.
Did you ever get your parts and answer?

Just buy a x3, if the seating position bothers you they make kits for it.
Just remember that my Sportsman XP 1000 goes in to low power mode when in low gear but on it no problem it still has more than enough but on the atv I can see that 90 HP in low would be way too much. On your Pro they must be cutting the power back to save on drive train strain .
They limited power on the old turbos too in 4lo
Never buy the first year on anything
Yes probably a mistake but it would take a complete rework to fix the weak points on this machine and I really doubt if polaris will spend the time and money to rework a brand new design so just a warning to prospective buyers they may want to consider a different machine cause the xp pro is bad news

sucks this happened, im wondering if you got a "bad one", ive seen people smoke trees going about 60, hit that same spot, frame still stood stright, they had a bent trailing arm mind you, and the plastics were mangled, but the frame was fine. is it a possibility you rolled on a rock?
It’s a possibility that sxs blog said the frame was fine but never showed it
Interesting point of view and I think as these things become more complex and car like, price goes up. As these things become more competitive they may rush new stuff out the door. Hope you get it all sorted and out having fun soon, but it's something for all of us to think about. I may need to reevaluate my insurance.
Thanks all I’m trying to say is that if I had all of the resources available to me that polaris has and if I called myself the industry leader like polaris does I would build a better product and I would not release the product to the public until full product support was in place seems like common sense to me but obviously not to polaris they have lost their way
And another point in my opinion they should be building these vehicles more off road vehicle like instead of more car like
@@offroadfunz6094 Definitely, I mean that is the point right?
Morgan Overstreet agee the quality is in the tank
This is true just happened to me yesterday I barely flipped it on its side and broke a axel the arm control and the doors plastics everything broke Frame got little weird (xp4) pro
Wow. Thanks for the info.
Michael Bush I’d probably stay away from the pro it’s just to fragile
Yeah man trading my yxz1000r for the KRX in a couple weeks..... been researching the shit out of them...... and barely any complaints on those...... a few people nitpicking but nothing major..... I was eyeballing the Polaris but way to many complaints on them
Aside from rolling the machine they are not fragile at all.
@@trevorbraden5448 did you bought the KRX? If you did, how has it been so far?
@Armando I did and the thing was a straight Cadillac very roomy and a definite work horse in the trails....people call them cheat code like Nintendo 😀...... but I traded it for the Can Am RC RR....and performance wise Was much better but not so much on visibility and comfort.....The KRX was definitely a stellar machine in my opinion
Do most people get insurance to cover this sort of thing? I got insurance but just not sure if most do or not.
If you financed it the bank demands full coverage...
No they don’t my can am x3 rs max is being financed and they don’t require any type of insurance
Yes Polaris clutches are noisy as are all cvt clutches
Has your belt slipped? Feels like when I hammer it to the floor the belt slips
Brake boost. And build boost before taking off from 0-20.
Boosted launch is what your looking for. :)
@@Arckabis I was gonna say that but I wasn't sure if he would know what it was.
That what happened when you raid a 64” car instead a72”
They dont make a xp pro in 72
So go with the trail model
25k and the tubing on the frame is paper thin...this is why I’m shopping between the KRX and the XX
Holy crap!!,
You may have just changed my mind!
In hindsight at least they built good clutches..... wait.....never mind
can am same quality and consistent product year after year. polaris changeing every year I would wait a year or two before buying new products.
Go to dirt obsession to watch a xx role down a hill 4or 5 times land wheels up and open the door and get out no frame damage
david payce I believe it you would think the self proclaimed industry leader could build a machine that is off road capable but they cannot
Wow! almost buy a Polaris!!!! lucky find this reviews... thanks for take this time to make this video
I would have called RZR sharp customs. You could have built a chassis setup vs 11k on more garbage parts.
I have personally seen and have myself rolled a xp1000 with no issues at all. Even a moderate speed roll should not be 11k of damage.
This is why when I upgraded a went to a X3
If I knew then what I know now ☹️😡
Just don’t buy new models or special editions that haven’t been out for a long time.
Sold my Polaris 4 seater for same reasons. May get a Talon like Bryant😎
This one has a 64" width right? Do you think that's why it rolled so easy?
It is 64” it’s actually pretty stable the point of the video is not that it rolled but the substantial damage from a light roll over in soft dirt
Got ya....that’s a shame but I’m glad the machine runs well!
Appreciate the honest info. Thanks!
Polaris service has such a bad rap. Sorry to hear it
Had to have been doing more than 3 mph for the damage you described
This man just saved me 30k
I wish someone had done the same for me ☹️
So what are you going to buy ?
Put the $30k towards a Vette....or Shelby.....or Hellcat🤣🤣🤣🤣 these SXS’s aren’t worth HALF the retail💩
Brent Ferrell a vette or shelby won’t do well in the woods of course this polaris won’t either ☹️
Off road fun Z gorgeous ride tho...both your sxs’s are nice
