    Great review !
Simply one of the most overwhelmingly stunning films I've ever seen. I have a feeling that it'll be cited as a landmark documentary in future years.
    It damn well should !

This documentary gives a feeling as indescribable as having a child. You know how the saying goes "until you have one, you'll never know what it feels like". That's the way I feel about this film. You have to see it for yourself and trying to recommend it to someone else will leave you just as speechless as the lady from So Reel Thoughts was trying to describe it. Thinking back on it you can see the emotions from her just replaying certain scenes in her head. Even as I type this I'm emotionally drained. I think the thing that troubles me most were the humanistic qualities of these people who committed these heinous acts.
At one point I actually felt a bit of sympathy for Anwar Congo (one of the people who carried out the acts) then immediately felt shameful for feeling that remorse. One of the scenes that stuck out to me the most was when one of the soldiers actually had an interesting logic about what he had done and why he feels he shouldn't suffer any consequences. Unacceptable, but interesting. I won't spoil it because I'm pretty sure if you plan to watch it, you'll know exactly what scene I'm referring to. To quote another film critic, and I'm paraphrasing "this film will grab your heart and beat the shit out of it." Great review.

I felt nauseated toward the end of the movie. It is certainly a movie that will leave you speechless. This is my second nausea-inducing movie of the year. The first one is La Prenda (2015) directed by Jean-Cosme Delaloye.

I just got to hear the director speak at my school's cinema. Twice :] It was incredible (Oppenheimer and the movie). They screened "the director's cut". 2hrs 40mins.
