So I just watched this for the first time. It's incredible how much Doug just copied this for his own "review" and got such praise for it. Just goes to show how talented you are.
It’s funny... for years I watched You-Know-Who’s review of this movie religiously to cheer myself up. Knowing this came first, I can safely say he ripped off pretty much every joke in his review from this one. Knowing all the shit he put you through, all I can say is I hope you’re doing better now that you’re away from that place, and everything is in the open.
To be completely honest, I only started watching Allison in the last year or so. So I've binged Baywatching and watched recent Movie Nights. After a lot of these re-uploads though, I really want to watch more Obscurus Lupa. (The Full House theme especially killed me 😂)
I'm not sure it's in human nature to live in peace with each other. I know sci-fi tells us that learning there is life on other planets will make us forget our differences and unite (either to fight evil aliens or befriend good ones) but I'm not sure even that would be enough. I've also seen sci-fi (especially "Star Trek") suggest that, if we could reach a point where everyone has everything they need then there won't be need for war and violence (if everyone has enough to eat and there's not hunger then there wouldn't be any need to fight other nations for food, etc..), but I'm not sure that is attanable either. Of course, I guess, maybe if there was a horrible event and enough of the human race died so that there was enough food for everyone that might work but if you've been watching "The Last Ship" you know that isn't garenteed either.
First time I saw this movie, kid you not, it was on Adult Swim and it was their April Fools Joke. Very confusing, especially since, at the time, I had no clue what the hell this was or what was going on.
Man this video brings me back. Back when the internet was constantly having a ball with how bizarre The Room was, and back when ThatGuyWithTheGlasses existed! Those were such good times.
That humping the dress sequence was not in the script. The entire cast and crew was horrified and very, very, confused when Tommy started doing that in the middle of the scene.
No, it was in the script. I went to a live reading of the original script (from when it was a play), with Greg Sestero reprising the role of Mark, and the dress humping was in there. I remember the phrase, "when he finishes" being in there, and the audience screamed.
I think you're thinking of the moment when the new actress playing Lisa arrived on set after the first actress quit. Tommy Wiseau basically just went straight into his sex scene with her. No direction, just "Oh hai, new actress," immediate sex scene, and the whole cast was understandably like, "The fuck is going on?"
Tareltonlives doug's review is a great companion piece to lupa's initial review, especially when she made that cameo in the review urging him to reconsider.
I thought that might be the case- a friend of mine owns an old VHS with board game called Nightmare, and the Gatekeeper not only has the same long curly black hair but the same accent, and my friend (who I introduced to The Room) agreed when I said he looked/sounded a bit like Tommy. We looked up who the Gatekeeper was and found he was Polish, and yes I know what they say, but I had assumed that ever since (and it turns out I was right!)
I watched this and "The Disaster Artist" this week, so... Tommy and Greg are still making movies together, but none have matched this level of infamous success.
Well, I've seen your review of The Room a couple of times, as well as reviews by several other online reviewers. I think I know the movie inside and out without having actually watched it. Time to watch it again.
Some nostalgic people who criticized Tommy Wiseau didn't allow the other reviewers to review movie's he'd already reviewed, however, it's perfectly fine if he reviews movies the other reviewers already reviewed.
I went my entire life without seeing this. Is there a way to unsee what I've just seen? Edit: Ok, I take it back. The way you reviewed this made it watchable. And that dude at the end was pure gold.
I remember when I first saw NC's version. I remember looking for Allison's but couldn't find it. Think it had been taken down. NC'S Room review randomly popped up and I decided to look again for Allison's. Glad it's here. Still hard to believe that was about 10 years ago.
I've heard that the original book was *500 pages* long with a series of lengthy monologues and very repetitive dialogue, which begs the question, what *_else_* was cut out? More dialogue scenes, more sex scenes, maybe much longer football scenes...? There was even apparently supposed to be a subplot which reveals Johnny to be a *vampire* who flies across the San Francisco skyline in his Mercedes-Benz car. *_WTF?!_** XD*
I can't help thinking this movie would have been a lot better if Tommy Wiseau had ponied up for the rights to "Bump N' Grind" for the alleged sex scenes.
maybe it was meant to be true to life. same few scenes constantly repeating themselves. lots of irrelevant padding. scenes that make no sense. and if we're lucky we get to laugh at someones suicide. Its truly a masterpiece.
I met Tommy at a screening, he is a brilliant man. The most intelligent, insightful film maker of our generation. His intellect is as vast as the Pacific Ocean.
I never really took drugs, but the worst pot can do, to my knowledge, is giving you a small moment of depression that usually occurs with withdrawal, as well as making you feel weak and nausous... I never threw up with marijuana but sometimes after a while it made cry. Alcool makes me happy and cool, unless I have too much then I fall asleep on a couch(or throw up and pass out in a dark corner) 😁
Tried to (re)watch this before when I was reminded about it, but couldn't find it. Glad you reposted it. I assume you kept it private for months because of Copyright issues?
I got the results of the test back: I definitely always notice that there was an "Oh hey" missed immediately after Oh hey #4 whenever I watch this review.
"You're tearing me apart, Allison! Oh hi Phelous."
wiseau is a national treasure. which nation, no one knows.
He's like a real life Joker. No one knows his backstory or where he comes from.
Poland, I think
@@exeortegarubio No it's New Orleans! You can hear it in his typical New Orleans accent.
@@exeortegarubioalmost certainly Poland.
So I just watched this for the first time. It's incredible how much Doug just copied this for his own "review" and got such praise for it. Just goes to show how talented you are.
LittleLotte1410 Doug STINKS. How anyone thinks that dude is funny is beyond my grasp.
@@merces47letifer4 He _used_ to be funny, but that was long, long ago.
@@BloodrealmX mmm
@@merces47letifer4 honestly I can’t remember why I ever found him funny😂
Tommy looks like a Snape toy that got melted in the microwave
V. M. His half expressive face also looks like he had at least one stroke.
@Razh 80 I could describe my sex life with a movie title. "the room" lots of disappointment, so bad that it's good. You need to just experience it ;)
Or Grìma Wormtongue.
That's an insult to Snape, lol.
HA HA what a review Allison!
Ha Ha great story Allison!
You're tearing me apart Allison!!!
So, how is your sex life?!?!?
Where's my ****ing money, Lupa!?
It’s funny... for years I watched You-Know-Who’s review of this movie religiously to cheer myself up. Knowing this came first, I can safely say he ripped off pretty much every joke in his review from this one.

"I just got the test results back and I definitely have a bad movie!"
Don't worry about it, it will be fine.
Deep Patel I don't see world peace happening in my lifetime.
I'm not sure it's in human nature to live in peace with each other. I know sci-fi tells us that learning there is life on other planets will make us forget our differences and unite (either to fight evil aliens or befriend good ones) but I'm not sure even that would be enough.

It's nothing to get worked up about.
Maybe it should? :)
First time I saw this movie, kid you not, it was on Adult Swim and it was their April Fools Joke. Very confusing, especially since, at the time, I had no clue what the hell this was or what was going on.
the football doesnt get enough credit for being the best actor in this movie , someone should make an imdb page for it....
skywalker01974 what about the drug dealer? That was the only good acting in the movie
Man this video brings me back. Back when the internet was constantly having a ball with how bizarre The Room was, and back when ThatGuyWithTheGlasses existed! Those were such good times.
Hysterical creaming.
Also, that Tommy impersonator was really spot-on.
That humping the dress sequence was not in the script. The entire cast and crew was horrified and very, very, confused when Tommy started doing that in the middle of the scene.
"the entire crew was horrifed and very, very confused" sums up the entire film-making process.
No, it was in the script. I went to a live reading of the original script (from when it was a play), with Greg Sestero reprising the role of Mark, and the dress humping was in there. I remember the phrase, "when he finishes" being in there, and the audience screamed.

"Why you cut Sandy, this is great, this REAL acting!"-Tommy Wiseau
Ah yes! The red dress hump of Despair. Classic scene!
This Room review I consider better than Dougs and almost as good as Rifftrax. No wonder this got on you on Channel Awesome!
Tareltonlives doug's review is a great companion piece to lupa's initial review, especially when she made that cameo in the review urging him to reconsider.
It did?
Turns out Tommy is Polish, some students found him in archives of one of the polish universities. It makes me a little proud xd
Citation?

That Tommy impression at the end fucking killed me. 😂
Saw The Room for the first time last year and it is as wonderful as you say it is.
You are tearing me apart, lupa!
I'm glad to see this again. This is what introduced me to the movie. Thank you for this!
don't worry about it, anyway, how's your sex life
Wait a minute. The music, the sexy dress...what's going on here?
Oh hey, spot on impression! really good! What a review Lupa!
I watched this and "The Disaster Artist" this week, so...
Tommy and Greg are still making movies together, but none have matched this level of infamous success.
I got the results of the test back, this is definitely a great video review.
one of my favorites from Lupa, takes me back
Holy crap, I can't believe how long ago this was. It's cool peeking back at the older shows and seeing how your style evolved.
Loved this era so much. 2011 was the year I graduated from high school and joined the army.
I think this is the first review I watched of you?
So glad you finally (re)uploaded it to the RUclipss.
❤️💛💚💙💜💖

Time to watch it again.
As a human bean lolz.
15:19 To this day, I still sometimes quote “NO, it was a Sony!” to myself. XD
Some *nostalgic* people love to *criticize* Tommy Wiseau, but, atleast, he paid the actors to make his movies.
What's that smell?
Oh, yeah.
BUUUUUURRRRRRNNNN!!!!!!!
LOL reluctantly and only after a cast fight broke out though
Some nostalgic people who criticized Tommy Wiseau didn't allow the other reviewers to review movie's he'd already reviewed, however, it's perfectly fine if he reviews movies the other reviewers already reviewed.
And that my friends is why the Not So Awesome Document was released.
"Oh hi gun barrel"
I HAD to find this tonight after watching The Disaster Artist - great review on it, I laughed till I Cried.
whoever that fake tommy wiseau is has a perfect impression of his voice
toki draws sometimes ... Chris Stuckman lol
Mark is hotter than Johnny... but then again, that's like saying getting stabbed in the stomach is better than getting shot in the head lol
Except it is cause that's like a 80 percent chance of not dying
Plus Mark doesn't laugh at domestic violence or let creepy man children into his room.
I hate to say it (because suicide is very serious), but Johnny shooting himself is the funniest suicide that I have ever seen on crappy film. 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
I went my entire life without seeing this.
Is there a way to unsee what I've just seen?
Edit: Ok, I take it back. The way you reviewed this made it watchable. And that dude at the end was pure gold.
So ready for the Disaster Artist movie
Scott Sandler it was lame
It's somewhat embarrassing that I haven't actually watched this review until now.... I have just righted a terrible wrong.

That sounds hilariously bad.
I’m happy to have found your review on this movie🤣 I just adore how this became a ‘meme’ and so bad it’s good thing because of the dialogue

I would love to see random extras in movies actually deliver lines and order at a restaurant. That would be authentic actually.
I think this is the first review by you I ever watched.
It would not be the last. You have been on one of my monitors for many hours.
You are the most amazing reviewer.Youve got yourself a suscriber
Fun fact I think Tommy wisso thought that this film would be nomatited for a oscar .
AMAZING ! I loved your review... that guy in the end LMAO!, one more thing: YOU'RE TEARING ME APART, LUPA!
Best funny review of the room I have seen, and believe me I think I've seen them all
Still hilarious! The Jelly at the end killed me dead.
Someone did some detective work and sorta figured out that Tommy Wiseau likely comes from Poland.
SpukiTheLoveKitten75
In Poland is where his spaceship crashed
Tommy- El
from *Creep-ton*
haha i see what you did there
We, the Polish, strongly deny!
Killer premiere on Channel Awesome. My fave of all of Lupa's work.
I can't help thinking this movie would have been a lot better if Tommy Wiseau had ponied up for the rights to "Bump N' Grind" for the alleged sex scenes.
Great video. I think you missed some „oh heys“. Like when the girlfriend called mark the first time.
This dude does Wiseau impressions better than James Franco, that's actually quite funny :D
I wonder how many people who happen to meet Wiseau in person just go: "Oh hi Tommy." I totally would!
Who's the guy who plays Wiseau at the end? He was pretty good! I've always thought so.
A Green His name is in the credits: Jeremiah Garbasc.
Why did old camera from the early days of RUclips make everything look yellowish.
This video is great, this just crossed my mind
"If a lot of people love each other, the world would be a better place to live... "
16:03 Yeah, I’m angry, I guess. Roar, roar
One day, I'll watch The Room. I don't when, but I'll watch it.
glad you got on the room way before everyone else, for the most part.... its fun watching youre review and not a review of the whole hoopla
“Enough farting around” needs to enter my regular vocabulary
The review that started it all.
I've missed this review!!!!
I saw an ad for Disaster Artist before watching this!
maybe it was meant to be true to life. same few scenes constantly repeating themselves. lots of irrelevant padding. scenes that make no sense. and if we're lucky we get to laugh at someones suicide. Its truly a masterpiece.
well said😊
Every time they bring up the fact that Mark and Johnny are best friends the Buddy song from the new Child’s Play plays in my head.
I'm in dire need of the novel version of this.
Oh fine. I'll finally subscribe.
I'm pretty sure this film is autobiographical, with Wisseau, from his point of view, with a bit of a suicide revenge fantasy ending.
I got the results back, I definitely got Aids and Shit !
Thanks😹
Hope my _future wife_ doesn't get bored...
Fun little fact: my copy of this movie came with an order form for Wiseau branded underwear.
Where are these guys nowdays?...
huh
SHADE A.I Gaming Chamber Well....Wiseau's still making movies. A reviewer named Bobsheaux reviewed his Hulu original series "Neighbors."
Also, Greg Sestero (Mark) made a book about his time working with Wiseau called "The Disaster Artist."
SHADE A.I Gaming Chamber
Tommy's still doing things, and I heard he'd be starring in the Disaster Artist as a cameo
I suppose "Lisa" hasn't recovered from being in this movie. So she's ether taking acting lessons or just hung herself.
how clueless is Mark in this movie he cannot be too stupid
I met Tommy at a screening, he is a brilliant man. The most intelligent, insightful film maker of our generation. His intellect is as vast as the Pacific Ocean.
"Now he's just saying random things." NOW he's just saying random things?

7:16 the infamous lines
Oh hi Allison!
5:21 I laughed so hard I peed!
6:34 No song has ever encapsulated the moment quite like this one.
Fun fact: Tommy Wiseau actually did use a tape recorder like Johnny does.
lol good times my 1st favert of ur video's.

@@christopherb501 ur correct i can't spell
Oh, you poor young Allison.
Oh, hey Allison.
“Unnamed Guy” was great.
Always thought you were the funniest on the that guy with the glasses site , Allison
I have an idea who Tommy actually is. Real life Tarzan who accidently found civilisation and tried to adapt.
11:56 that song transition though 👌🏻
Tried to (re)watch this before when I was reminded about it, but couldn't find it. Glad you reposted it.
I assume you kept it private for months because of Copyright issues?
Oh hey Lupa!
I got the results of the test back: I definitely always notice that there was an "Oh hey" missed immediately after Oh hey #4 whenever I watch this review.
I remember a co-worker recommending this film. Ugh. I no longer consider any of their recommendations.
Whelp... this is probably one of the more amusing and seperate stylized version of this review.
Where it all began . . .
Love this video
♥️
"Anyway How's Your Sex Life?"- Tommy Wiseau, 2003.
It looks like a movie, made in 1993, instead of a movie made in 2003.
5:21 OMG I thought you were just going to stop the music at "My mind is telling me NO" XD
