  • 2 days ago I decided to head out to the wharf and try my luck on some kahawai. It was great going back to basics once again after having not much luck on surfcasting. Unfortunately I had a really rough day as every fish I hooked up to, kept on getting off. I ended up losing 3 kahawais altogether that morning. Today however I was able to land not only a good sized kahawai but also a kingfish as well which was released unharmed.

    Hey bro nice vid. I just got back from great barrier island and I went landbased fishing off the rocks heaps with my friend. It was real fun. I landed a 23 pound snapper off the rocks straylining a whole kahawai tail lol. thats about 10 kilo. I also landed an 18 pound snapper. I followed your piper tutorial and caught some piper off the rocks as well. They got smashed by some snapper.

    Hi. Nice video brother. What bait do you use for those fish?

  • @nicksmith3746
    @nicksmith3746 5 лет назад

    You should use a crab trap as a net to lift the fish up 😊

    Great vid bro, Its good to see that you are letting all of those fish go.
    But I think it is time to invest in a landing net so you dont loose so many.
    (up north where I live we would use that size kahawai for a whole dead bait for a monster snaper).
    Keep up the great vids

    • @BasicFishingNZ
      @BasicFishingNZ  7 лет назад +1

      Hi thank you for watching. I'm no expert but these r the tips I can give you to help to grow your channel. One is that try to upload many videos but make sure that you are uploading them in a balanced way for example I usually upload once a month. Two is that try to edit your videos to make it look interesting for the audiences to enjoy. Three is maybe to share your videos with friends and families or try to name your videos to make it look noticeable to people who are looking through youtube.
