  • The video follows three BISS Bakeries entrepreneurs in their daily work. It shows what the bakery work means, what the bakery means to them and to their family and community.
BISS Bakeries Uganda is a program that empowers people with a disability, parents of children with a disability, orphans and other vulnerable people to have an income though baking. A practical training in baking and business is combined with a start-up-kit, which participants pay back over time. The collected money is used to help run the program and start more bakeries.
BISS Bakeries is a program initiated by Bake for Life Holland. It has been actively run since 2014. BISS is a registered NGO in Uganda.
The bakers in the video started in 2022, and still have a great ambition as they share in the video. BISS Bakeries facilitates the growth of their bakery through follow-up, additional trainings, possibilities to expand through new equipment and logistics after repayment of their start-up-kits.
