Just did these. Awesome heart rate spiking movements. Did vertical press on a smith machine & it's challenging to do by myself. Smith machine donkey kicks are tough too. Almost want to give up in the 1st 3 exercises but pulled through. Really have to go with light weights in this exercise. However, I didnt do HIIT.
So it's essentially a leg workout with a glute emphasis... Cool. I'm thinking about adding some of these moves to add some variation to leg day. Thanks!
My only issue is knowing what machines are what and how to use them. I don't have anyone to workout with so the weight room is intimidating. Great glute workout! I will do this tomorrow.
mommydena I went into the weight room by myself for the first time, go when there's not many people and get used to the equipment then you'll be more comfortable, good luck!!
The incline will really work your glutes! Yesterday I did an incline of 7.5 and was only at my warmup speed of 3.5 for 20 minutes but it was still killer since I'm so new to this. I did not hold on to the bar. 🧡🍑
Thank you so much for the video, I added the Smith Machine Lunges to my workouts today (Legs days) and they felt super awesome and really got the burn and I had to fight my way to finish the fourth set. I also finished up by the Glute Bridge.. No comments other than 'GOD DAMN! -__- '
This is an excellent workout! Ashley is a badass, because there is no way I'm doing HIIT on the treadmill in my Converse! 😂 I have to switch from my Cons to my Runners. She's tough!!!
She is a fitness pro and trainer so she can likely lift heavier than others. Start out with a weight you're comfy with b/c her fitness level is probably more advanced.
I think she’d look so much better with fuller eyebrows... I hung on to my thin 90’s eyebrows for way too long too but really glad I gave them up. I hope she does the same soon.

***ANEL BOJORGE*** she is not running. Converse are great for leg day at the gym, it keeps the hips and low back in a great form specially doing squads.
Kristi B, I use free weights and Smith machine. Smith helps you isolate the Glutes more. Free weights help use more muscles and are better for stability. Notice her stance with Smith is different than if she were back squatting with barbell.
The editing for this video was horrendous. You can barely get an idea of her form because the camera angle switches constantly. There was no thought put into this.

Im subuscribed to her! But there are other opinions that If you want to build muscle you should focus on lifting heavier -> stronger ,focus on compound movements, resting longer etc. and not burn a ton of calories with supersets and lighter weights
I do "HIIT butt thigh" routines by fitnessblender No machines no partners just dumbells/ kettlebell. Ad I can tell the difference! I don t think you need 4 sets of every move I would still like to do stairs /squat on Saturdays... It makes much more sense to *start* with a HIIT session... Certainly since I am a heart patient

The donkey kicks on the Smith machine don’t work if you’re working out alone, unfortunately. The machine kept locking on me. This was a good exercise, but you need a partner or someone to spot you.
Very nice workout but beginner's should not do this. They may choose only one or two exercise's for glutes when performing leg workout. Lot of love and respect from Pakistan.
Girl, just ask. Either way you will figure it out. I started a month ago and the Smith machine is the best for practicing good form. Hate it when people being ignorant to help someone out. Google how to use gym machines. Go, learn and help another person. Best of luck dear x

So lets talk about that vertical leg press on the smith that forces you to pretty much go into lumbar flexion on every rep? Not worth the risk.

Why not do a leg press instead of the verticle press on the smith?
You can get much deeper into the movement on the smith. Watch her. Her knees are practically by her EARS! :)

Good exercises, but OVERKILL. Half of this workout doing each exercises to failure would be sufficient and you'd be out of the gym 30 minutes.

Go look at Whitney Simmons' lower body workouts. She uses a series of no more than 3-4 tri-sets and super-sets per leg day.

You don't have to. To each their own.
Depends on your goal. I want to lose some weight, but want to build some muscle too. At the end my weight training I also add some hiit.
Leg training feels like HITT training when doing squats, deadlifts and hip thrusts.
