I don’t think the response time during the debate was adequate to give either candidate enough time to properly address policy questions. The last thing you wanna do with the policy question is speaking bullet points and allow an audience to draw their own conclusion. We had duck and over drills back in the 60s
So if they have drills now it's not so different
we should eliminate assault weapons but don't think the drills are something new
True, but other children in the USA had not died from a nuclear bomb, so there was far less psychological harm attached to those drills. I barely remember them.
How many of Taylor Swift fans so far.. Enough to swing any red states? And full blue tickets needed.
I'll be delighted if it just sews up the swing states.
@@JB-pu8ik Voters who register late go on to vote at a very high rate.
Because younger voters don't usually vote, they are not factored into the usual numbers. It could be a huge swing if they actually come out.
Thanks Al.
i got thirsty watching harris being thirsty right there at the start of the debate.
The intensity of focus, dang she is a hot ticket to the presidency.
Trump's makeup sucked all the humidity out of the room.
Thank you Al. I really enjoyed your interview. Take care. 🙏🏻💙🌾
Grateful 💙🌊
Consider...Trump admits this is the BEST he can do in debates, it's no wonder Putin and our other enemies can steamroller over him. Obviously he's not presidential.
Kamala surge is still escalating
I’m going to listen to the end of this bcuz I love Al Franken but truthfully.. it’s BORING!
Love you Al
WE women have got this & do not need your opinions tho thanks for the support 😆☮️❣️
As a white woman...we wish, 55+% of White women voted evil in 2020 vs 9% Black women...we've got some catching up to do to even "help" the women handle it.
GREAT INTERVIEW MINNESOTA HOME 🏠 TOWN HERO 🦸♂️ AL FRANKEM
Excellent listen.
Young people: "What have you done for me?"
Dobbs: "Hold my beer."
If the GOP and Supreme Court envision an American like the fifties again…shouldn’t they change the gun laws to match so we can go back to their envisioned (better) America?
I grew up in the fifties and sixties…we didn’t have the daily slaughter we see today. The difference is a whole lot more guns that are more easily obtained.
Democracy is on the ballot! Vote Dum Dum Don the Con OUT! Blue Wave coming.

Easy and instant debunking question... *_"If someone stole your cat, how would you possibly be able to tell they ate it?"_* ‼😳‼
Great podcast
Hello from Michigan!!
Truly depressing news hearing how the young ppl feel. Can’t same I blame them.
Dang is this old news? 4:50 they're still blathering on about President Biden. At first I thought it was a slip of the tongue but nope, the wrong debate
Sinclair should never have been allowed to purchase enough stations to have 40% coverage!
One lady, from a NYT focus group, that has School kids and that works in healthcare, is going to vote for Trump because Trump supports education and healthcare, she said.
Thanks, lamestream media!!!
She learned that online or from friends.
1:44 11,780 LOL
sooo good 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm still peeved at Zombie media for failing to point out djt doesn't know rounding up from rounding down!
Should have been sniveling for 12,000 votes, not 11,000.
He did start with a count exactly one more than Biden's lead, like that wouldn't look fishy at all!
Sometimes saying less is more powerful. She didn't need to say anything when the moderators did.
I hope there will not be another debate. The expectations will be too high for her and too low for him.
What a disgraced tome
People still want cheaper rent & groceries.
Start the list of Harris's economic plans at the bottom
(stopping price gouging & rental rate fixing, Etc.).
I kinda liked Kotke to push that forward
NYT? Seriously?
I’m glad I had my 🤮 bag, 💼 edibles.
The conversation regarding young people - their views, how they might vote, etc., made no sense to me. At the end of the day, it comes down to one of two candidates. With Kamala, young people have shot. With Trump, they're pretty much fucked.
New subscriber ✌🏿
Considering the number of generation Zers who have recently registered its unimaginable that they will not vote, and vote for the same reason they decided to register.
Lol yeah I like that guy. I'm dying
I just saw you on Bill Maher. Thanks for calling out Bill's bs. However, while I agree Tyreek was difficult when he was pulled over, some would say Sandra Bland had a "bad attitude" too. The difference is Sandra Bland was unalived. Who likes to be pulled over? No one, and had you or Bill acted the same way you would still be here to talk about it. You also would not have been yanked out of your car and handcuffed. Also, Bill's assertion that Tyreek somehow deserved what happened to him because the officers were Latino has nothing to do with @nti-blackness. Other groups can be against black people. Or be from that group and favor others. Just look at Clarence Thomas and Tim Scott.
Tyreek was an A hole. Maybe they were just anti A hole. T doesn’t get a pass because he is rich and black.
@@solarwind907 Because he is rich and they knew who he was he walked away with his life. Sandra Bland did not. That is the point
@@solarwind907 No one deserves to be unalived for being mouthy. That is what happened to Sandra Bland. Had she been a pretty blonde only then would you have sympathy. Just own your bigotry just like Maher.
You actually don’t have a clue what would or would not happen to any other person, of any race, creed or color, given the same exact circumstances. But you are too blinded by your own prejudice to understand. Maybe you just need to live longer, experience more life. There is good and bad in all people. No group of people, not even your favorite group, has a monopoly on truth and wisdom.
Good luck to you,
@@ListenUpDemocracy so you know that the only reason T is alive is because he’s rich and famous? Did you talk to the police, and they told you that?
So you KNOW that I am a bigot. You know a lot for someone living in a “data free” zone.
I don’t know much, but I am guessing that since you’re so susceptible to prejudice and misinformation, i’m guessing you voted for Trump at least once? Am I right?
Anyway, I’m not a bigot but I don’t like A holes of any flavor. Maybe Mr. T learned something. Sometimes when you treat someone like dirt you find out they don’t have the patience of Job.
Hope so.
Whatever Trump accuses others of doing is actually what he did, doing or will do.
I grew up in the sixties and seventies. We young people were upset with politicians. Our angst gave us Nixon!
Regarding fact-checking, ABC introduced their intention to do fact-check the more ridiculous claims in the primary discussions with the both parties, and both sides agreed and signed to the terms.
"The weave" would be called foreshadowing as a literary device. Like the small car accident in Chapter 3 of "The Great Gatsby" foreshadows the larger car accident in Chapter 7.
was sarah longwell et al unavailable? because she didn't just start focus grouping in june...
2:57 - Dude's not making any sense?
So why doesn't Mayo clinic refute the lie about post birth abortions?

OK PERVERT. IF YOU SAY SO.
The circus never leaves town?
How a bill becomes a law is a maze no one understands.
Remember the teaching text in the South was “Americanism versus Communism” since the 50s.
Great conversation, Mr. Franken. Thank you for all you do to help keep voters informed. A former Minnesota constituent now living in the rural Virginia Piedmont.🌿☀️🕊️
I just hope undecided doesn't mean too embarrassed to admit they are voting for Trump. It would be hard for me to vote Republican, so I can appreciate the dilemma.
Megyn is pissed lol
I don’t think the response time during the debate was adequate to give either candidate enough time to properly address policy questions. The last thing you wanna do with the policy question is speaking bullet points and allow an audience to draw their own conclusion. You should put context around your policy and answer ”why” the policy will be effective
DONT presume !
re: the weave ... nothing trump does is genius. He just throws spaghetti noodles at the wall until one sticks, then he rides it into dust. The media doesn't seem terribly motivated to talk about the hundreds or thousands of un-stuck and never-stuck spaghetti noodles laying on the floor.
At this point I have no interest in anything the NYT has to say. They’ve put their thumb on the scale pretty heavily for Trump for years.
