How u keep the transmission good I just got the computer changed a few months ago and now it’s back wining and slipping
Love this video man, I have a Nissan Altima 2012 myself since August 2020, and it had not failed me yet, I do oil change (and any other fluids) regularly, and so far I had no major issues with it, the latest I had was a coolant leak, but got it fixed at Goodyear 2 days ago, but the point is, I love my 2012 Nissan Altima, and they do last as long as you take real good care of it that is!
160,000 on my 2012 Altima, very reliable city commuter and highway vehicle. Love it.
I agree I really enjoyed driving this thing city and Highway lol thank you for watching & commenting 🙏
114,000 on mine absolutely love it .. New Michelin Tires (Costco) Never miss a oil change runs like a champ !
Nice Lloyd it’s good to see ppl still care about there cars 🚗🤗
Not bad. My 2008 has 279,624 miles and still going strong. If you take care of them they last.
72,000 on my 2012. Love it. Just sometimes hard to park it in nyc.
So happy to see all the good comments. I'm currently shopping for a Nissan Altima but scared to purchase it because of the negative comments ppl have been telling me.
I’m looking for one too don’t let the negative comments get to you my mom has this generation Altima the engine and transmission are perfectly fine
Own a ‘11 Altima right now 125k miles and runs extremely smooth and high acceleration. Just keep maintenance solid and keep oils in check to keep the car healthy.
Consumer Reports said the 2011-2012 Altima were the best generation had a '07 agree except my was all fully loaded was my pride and joy. I hope do a review of a 2015 Rogue SL.
I own a 2012 altima coupe and I really love it!! Awesome man loved the video keep making more 👏
No transmission problem?
@@mimichi1287 nope not since I bought it.. though often I worry I should change the fluid cus I hear that's really important when it comes to cvt transmission
2012 Nissan Altima was my first nissan and I loved it. I then went to a 2017 nissan Sentra Turbo and it was awesome... Today, I just purchased a 2022 Nissan Altima and I'm liking it so far after 6 hours.
The Sentra turbo is decent but as someone who has a non-turbo, it’s an absolute dog

I have owned 2012 Nissan Altima since new and now it’s 77k miles and first time I changed transmission fluid, rare pads and wheels alignment beside that i dont have any major problems except radio LCD is deeming.
2010 SL, love it, good TQ, 125k miles, clean title, only pre cat went out which was around 900$ repair at mechanics
I have a 2009 hybrid their is no issues just I replaced the hybrid battery 1 year ago and now it's run perfectly
I have a 2012 Altima and I love it!
Good cars and half the price of a Hondas or Toyota. thanks for your comment :D
I have nissan 12 2.5 S since 2018, and so far, it's going well.. buy fuel average is like 10 km in city ..long root it gives you good average
Now I want to change it as I love new shape..
2012 3.5 sr 150k miles, love this car
Last month i bought power steering fluid from the dealer and gave me the wrong one. A month later it sounded strange and brought it to the dealer to have it check. They were willing to flush and refill for free.
*Hek yeah dude love the vids!*
Thanks man I appreciate your support 🙏
My altima only lasted 135k until the cvt blew. My parents aren't good with cars though so who knows when is the last time they replaced the cvt fluid...
Get 32mpg while cruising at what speed?
Don’t think I’ll ever get a Nissan again I have a 2012 and it starts making noise from the back only have 1160 mils on it 🤷🏽♂️ what else to do
I love how much room it has
now that I have kids I value my space so much! lol
I have a check engine light due to the neutral safety switch. Sometimes when I try to push start it sometimes doesn't start over so I have to put it in drive then neutral and back in park for it to crank over. Now when it doesn't start in park I put it in neutral and it cranks up that way. That's how I ended up with my check engine light. I have just about 168k miles on it. It was a salvage title car so I expected something to happen. Car still runs and drives.
I’m trading my 2010 ford focus 5 speeds for 2009 Altima with 120k miles. Should I do it
How have your car been doing?
I have the same car in ocean gray metallic. Got it in 2019 right before the Pandemic hit.Cost was 12 k with 56k miles. Its been a great car so far.Very smooth, pretty quiet.Love the sound system.Just hoping the CVT last 250 K miles
Got mine last year same color hoping on the same thing!
Man them cars can last up to 300k + miles you good lol
I own a Nissan Altima 2011 Electric hybrid a difference from the regular Altimas because my have Toyota technology under the hood which make it even more reliable
@@forresthood I changed the transmission fluid out at 75K.Ill do it again st 250 K.Hope this extends the life if the CVT ...
What does the cvt transmission do differently than a normal transmission
I like this, 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5 S sedan with the exception of the CVT transmission. Can you do an in-depth tour, review and test drive of a 2017 Honda Odyssey Touring eight-passenger minivan with the 3.5 L V6 engine and the six-speed automatic? I want to see how reliable the vehicle is in. Also, can you do an in-depth tour, review and test drive of a 2008 Kia Rondo EX five-passenger crossover wagon with the 2.4 L four-cylinder engine and the four-speed automatic, as well for reliability? It would be interesting for vehicular buyers.
Yeah the CVT is a killer. But it is a cheap Transmission to repair I’ve been quoted 900$ American to rebuild with warranty from my best mechanic. Idk when I’ll be getting a 2017 odyssey my man, we are a small family dealership. I will do my best but no promises lol.
@@povnelson2019 Thank you very much.
Thanks bro I appreciate you haha 😂
@@povnelson2019 You're absolutely welcome.
Is good car to buy as they said mile is just num for it
Got a Nissan Altima 2012 2.5S half a year ago, first car, been driving pretty smoothly ever since I got it. Only 61k miles on it despite being a 10-year-old car, and looks like it was well maintained, practically only one owner (first one is a really short rent), and no accidents. There's a like a little scrape in the front (which they fixed before handing over the car to me) and looks like a very faint scrape mark on the side caused by another cars door, other than that it's perfect.
I am just particularly worried about the whole CVT failing issue, and I know that if it fails, I'm not gonna afford to switch it out (like $4000+). I will do a transmission fluid change rly soon and hopefully that will keep my Altima alive for longer. Also it gets a bit shaky at higher MPH (like 80 ish), not sure the reason, and only when it's going fast. Took her in and the mechanics just said it's normal, so I really don't know.
Try changing all 4 tires at once. I had 2 different sets with different ware on them. I changed all four and the shaking is gone.

61k on a 10 year car the biggest steal ever 😮💨
@@drakoqwan3147I recently had to sell it for half the price I bought it with before I moved across the country, definitely a terrible deal but I had no choice. Sad to see it go but at the same time I'm relieved that I don't have a ticking bomb on me anymore lol
@@Tward2929 I think you are right, I never got to changing the tires but after driving it for another year the vibration did get better, probably cuz the tires were more worn in.
2012 Nissan Altima ❤
And I change oil every 2 years on that car
Compares to my Z4 BMW no room for groceries and $200 just for oil change
I just got one myself
As a rent car my husband bought a Nissan Altima 2012
We have a 12 with the 3.5. Under 30000 miles . Cars like new. Changed the tires and battery. The car is a basic decent car. I'm more of a jeep and truck person so not really into cars at all. If I had to pick a car to drive everyday, I'd pick alfa Romeo or Volkswagen. Only car I've driven that i thought was pretty good all around was ford edge
I had a 2012 Special Edition Nissan Altima! I loved the Car! I miss it.I had to sell it when I moved to Florida.
Now I have a 15 Sentra & it’s a so so car! Don’t recommend it! I highly recommend the 07-12 Altima in a Heartbeat!
I have a 2012 Nissan Altima
I drive a 2012 Nissan Altima and I love it
Can someone tell me if this is a good first time car in 2024 !!! Please comment thanks
It’s not a bad car at all most the people who talk about Nissan reliability or transmissions probably have never driven one lol
I have a love hate relationship with my 2.5s. If it was the 3.5 it would a literal perfect car. In every department. The 2.5 is okay but only in sport mode does it really shine.
What’s the sport mode I have a Nissan Altima 2012 2,5 s

I just bought a 2012 Altima with 78k miles today.
Is one with 13,096 good? For 3.6k-4?
They offered me one for 4500 it has 97k miles
I bought one today with 55,000 miles on it at $7000.
If that this has the SVT trans it's stright up junk.... otherwise seems to be a great car...

So ...... How reliable is it ?
