I am surprised Honda haven't bought it to the UK or I think the rest of (West) Europe too. I think they would sell. And are they 'cheap' for an off roader? Doesn't that company that brings them in charge about £4500-ish or I am wrong? I think they look great. And they do perform too. There are about a zillion add ons to buy as well that if all bolted on would probably trebble the bike's weight! Honda must know their market.
@@bikerdood1100 At the moment I have a passing interest in small bikes especially those with high utility. I think there is a market there if the licencing for them and say 1kw ebikes was revised.
@@clangerbasher I agree. 16-year olds should be able to ride these low-power bikes with only rudimentary riding training, and 18 years and above car driver's license holders as well. I use my 110 cc Honda Scooter and 125 cc Innova for lots of errands
The US market will probably dry out, when the guys who remember them from their youth get disappointed that it has problems hauling their 100-150 kg bodies around. They really should have scaled it up with 18 inch wheels and a 250 cc engine of similar design.
I'm sure if Honda would sell the CT125 In Uk and all over Europe it will outsell all the other small 125cc that Honda has, like the Monkey and DAX. For me its the Honda Cub variant that I always wanted, a really versatile fuss-free 125cc workhorse.
This might be an odd question, but here goes. I am looking at getting my first bike and am stuck between the Honda CT 125 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan. I know the bikes are no where near the same, but they fit a similar niche of trails and backroads. With the pro of the Ct 125 being that it is lighter and smaller, which would allow it to be brought to areas via a motorcycle carrier on the back of an suv, but too slow for any highways. While the Himalayan is almost the exact opposite, being barely fast enough for highways, but a bit to heavy for a motorcycle carrier. They both share a similar style, and both have good carrying capacity (which is my main focus aside from looks). Which one would you choose if you were in my shoes?
It would depend on your priorities. The CT will struggle past 55mph but on tight twisty roads and trails it’s very easy to ride. If your doing 90% off road the CT is perfect. If you fall it’s as easy to pick up as a bicycle, well nearly. The Himalayan is very different. It’s much larger and would have greater luggage capacity.it will top out at around 85mph so can hold 70 ok. It’s not as easy off road because it’s bigger of course but can tackle trails no problem. There’s a guy on the internet Uncle Voodoo who has done a lot of videos on the Himalayan and his channel may help you make up your mind . Done light trails on both and they were pretty good. For carrying the CT is very light indeed
Yep. Love it. Looking for something like this to enjoy the lanes. My Africa Twin is too top heavy for such lanes, plus I’d really rather not throw it down too much. Maybe a CRF300 is the perfect in betweener 👍
I’d buy one if it was officially sold in the UK and It’s probably over priced as grey import. It’s no wonder that that Honda motorcycle sales are decreasing in the UK. 🥲
They are only available as you say as pricey great import. They do seem to be abandoning the small bike market to an extent, a mistake some British manufacturers made
Thanks for the report! Although here in Germany there are hardly any opportunities to legally drive off paved roads, the CT 125 would be the perfect complement to my Honda Forza 125. And because it's small, there would be enough space in the garage. If Honda doesn't bring the CT 125 to Europe, we can console ourselves with the brand new DAX 125 in 2023.
but be Honest you will prefer the CT125 over the DAX any day if you had the opportunity to choose. I mean, Bigger wheels, sump guard, rear carrier, and high bars. the DAX doesn't even begin, it's not that I don't like it but between the Cub, Monkey and DAX to me the CT125 Rule's them all. maybe the monkey is more fun if you want to have fun on some twisties but then again, where the road ends you feel already stuck where on the CT you can just keep going.

Good evening, is it marketed at your place? In France we are not entitled to it and it is a real shame. Thanks for the video 👍🏻✌🏼
No they are not, unfortunately 😢
Great video. 💯 Thoughts on this as a first bike to commuting to work? How is it in longer distances?
Quite low powered and also low geared so depends on the type of roads you had in mind
Pointless at the moment Honda selling the CT125 in Europe, they cannot keep up with demand in some existing markets.
True perhaps from a Honda perspective
Not good news for Europeans

Honda make some strange corporate decision sometimes that’s for sure

Hi From Ireland
Thanks for the review on the CT 125, I Have one on order from seven seas motors.
Brilliant be interesting to see how you find it

Similar story in Britain, all open spaces are given up for walkers who do all they can to remove everyone else
