The east never gets enough snow.

This actually seems like a decently hard run! I didn't think there were any really hard runs in the East because I haven't seen any yet. This run doesn't have sustained pitches, but it does have some mandatory drops (albeit short ones), straightlining, and sharp turns. Nice skiing!

If you ski, go to Mad River Glen. That’s the pinnacle of gnarly east skiing.

This run is actually a really fun challenge that requires a full bag of “tactical” skiing. Stowe gets all the press for difficult terrain, but Madonna lifeline is WAY harder than anything at Stowe!

Very steep it’s not to east for a ok skier

The difference between East and West is simple, west bigger and steeper but easier. East is narrower and less steep but harder. Ice conditions make it more technical. There is a reason many Olympic athletes come for New England. I have lived in Colorado for 4 years and love it but East coast is harder.

Aren't those chairs dangerously close to the ski run?

I have to duck under peoples feet in some spots (I’m 6’5”). It’s really not a big deal…just another interesting obstacle to deal with!

I always thought upper madonna liftline was the steepest in the east.

It is pretty steep but I don’t think it’s that steep

Hi I just wondering what type of ski is this? And how did you mount the binding? Factory recommend or near ski center?

dumb comment. it would take an exceptional amount of trauma to "ruin your skis". these are just superficial scrapes that a standard tuneup could easily patch up. TOTALLY worth it for these natural snow packed powder awesome conditions in the glades and down the lift lines. this is one of my favorite videos and i haven't been to smugglers since the 90s.

@@johnnywishbone. You said it bud! I’m a Smugglers local and always chuckle at folks who baby their precious skis rather than take a run down something interesting (with some natural obstacles) that might scratch their bases. If you’re worried about some scratches or edge nicks, you’ll never ski anything fun! And, the vast majority of people who are worried about the condition of their skis get new ones long before the old ones are truly trashed. Get out there, bang some stuff up, have an adventure!
