The Broncos aren't a trash roster, they've had a trash quartback for a decade. You're the only person who's actually mentioned the sack rate and how most of it was Russell's fault.
I think Denver is going to shock most people. They went eight and nine last year despite having a quarterback that can't run Payton's system. I think they will be very good this year

They do their judging entirely on things they don't understand: Nix was a "reach" (not really); Nix only throws the ball to the dump off guy at the line of scrimmage (he doesn't); the entire QB room is trash (it isn't, everyone there has a purpose); the only real talent on the team is Surtain and the Broncos didn't replace as much talent as they lost (they gave up an All -Pro safety because of cap reasons, but they have strengthened on both sides of the line of scrimmage, they have QB's now who will get the ball out of their hands quickly, which improves O-line play and helps avoid penalties and they will throw to the middle of the field, something Wilson almost never did and only during scramble drill). The WR and RB rooms look to have improved, on paper at least, and Lucas Krull may be the talented receiving TE we have been missing for years. They have improved special teams play immensely. And, for a large portion of the team, this is their second year in the system, and so they can play faster and not have to think as much before moving. Make no mistake, we likely won't win many games this year, but that's what happens in the first year of a rebuilding. It's about fixing the fundamentals, replacing older players with younger ones who are still on rookie contracts to fix the salary cap issues. We may only win 5-6 games this season, but as long as we keep moving in the right direction (provided Nix is what we want), the talent will grow and be recognized and the wins will come.
Yes Russell Wilson should’ve thrown to mims more when he was out there but honestly they used Russ as the scapegoat when it comes to mims. Sean Payton didn’t use him nearly as much as he should’ve. After the Washington game it should have been the Marvin Mims show.
