- man there was crazy action caught over 30 trout that night all using texas made bay bug!!! I still continued fishing after my go pro was full!! very very crazy night guys!!! Huge thank you to my buddy marcus for the invite man!!

Nice fish! The next time you are around Pirates landing, try taking some shrimp and go over the bridge to the south tip closer to the jetties around spring break time...if you want to find big spawner specks...The inside edge of the southern tip...( Channel view road) ..has so many big specks spawning in the mornings, you can hear them croaking from the fishing spots..which are old pier structures( not big)...live shrimp will get your limit in 30 minutes....I did these trips for 4 years , massive trout up to 8 or 9 pounds...

@@TxTandem. It was not a private spot 12 years ago. Just a side pier that was next to another one...on the inside section of the end of the tip of land. There are soo many trout in March spring break time at this spot that you can hear them croaking while staging to spawn....always around the same time.
Since I did this during a span of 6 years...( 4 trips there)...it seems pretty reliable timing wise...
Every trout was a keeper...fyi. I would walk back to hotel, which was northwest of fishing spot, after fishing mornings.
If you set up a light or two to fish it...would be epic probably.

@@TxTandem. I did actually bro! Undersize red, 20inch channel cat and 17 inch speckler and lost that snook! Looked about 15 inches, but would have been my first! Was my first time there! Didn’t fish it too hard, had my daughter with me. But it was fun!

@@TxTandem. The thing I've always wanted to do there is go the little outcropping of land down from the north pier and night fish. I always I'd hook into some monsters, I love that little town.

@@TxTandem. I remember going there and trying to catch trout on live shrimp, talk about a pointless excercise. It's more productive to bobber fish with live shrimp in the harbor right in the morning.

@@TxTandem. it depends but those trout are finnicky. Have not been out in a month or so but I did get a 27" and a 24" trout (hooked in the tail lol yeah really!) the next night in Thomae Park in Arroyo in early December. Bothon artificials. Caught a few slot trouts the second night. Is there bait in Port Mansfield? Great videos thanks always like watching!
