I'm so sorry to hear that. The loss of a pet is never easy. I haven't made an official announcement yet, it we just lost our sweet Shih Tsu on Friday. It was completely unexpected and we weren't ready for it. You have my sympathies friend and just know I'm grieving with you.
I personally like videos between 30 - 40 minutes, but I'll always watch your videos. Hot tent camps are alwys great. Anything you do is great! So much fun!
I'm more of 45 to 60 minutes but I'm retired & have more time on my hands. I'm an avid camper going out for weeks at a time with my dogs, I'm single so there's no rush to ever get home plus indigenous Australian so being on the land my ancestors walked makes me feel closer.
I really like the videos where you use gear from a specific vendor, or even gear not necessarily meant for camping. Keep making the great content! 100K is just around the corner!
Just a little tip, that little towel acts as a good barrier between the rusting rims of the gas canisters and the bottom of your pot, when you store your canisters inside. 👍🏻 cheers and thanks for another great vid Sam!
I love ALL your video's. Definitely love the detail you put into it. Im a big camper myself too so i appreciate all the detail. Out of ALL the camping videos i watch on RUclips which is alot. Your in my top 3. You're a natural. I love the longer videos! 45 mins to an hour are great for me. The longer the better haha. Feels like im there with you that way and i love it! I look forward to every new video i see! Continue to stay safe and healthy!
You are fun. Thank you. Also, waterproof socks, change your life. I have contributed. Fun. Also, I am Wolfman Outdoors 289. Watching your videos as I hot tent. Fun.
Bro……we enjoy the videos. You make them the way you want to make them. I think some will prolly be longer and some will prolly be shorter, just depending on the trip. Don’t force it…keep doing you and keep being you. Love watching the videos!
Dude that's exactly right! When I'm out I shoot what feels natural, then I try to edit it so it feels right and it ends up the length it ends up. That's exactly what I do, but for a while now they've been a lot longer.
Just found your channel and I’m really enjoying the content! The mix of good vibes, chill cooking, camping, food, and some bushcraft is perfect. Love the gear stuff too, though I wish it was from Aliexpress instead of Temu. Plus, the longer videos are FOR SURE better, 40-60 minutes is the sweet spot. The shorter the video, the less I watch it, haha. You need time to get hooked to the story, the scenery, and really feel like we’re there with you, you know? When it’s short, you can’t enjoy it as much, and the cuts between sections feel too big if you know what I mean. Keep up the great work!
Oh, and something else, you've issues with the sound a lot of the times, when you go too far or get closed, need to adjust the volume every time... I guess you've an on-camera mic and not one connected to you, so sometimes, it's hard to hear.
I use a Coleman backpack stove that is very similar to your stove. You have to get the stove in a stable upright position ,, then light it and don't tilt or move it while it's lit. I've even used mine in a hotel room. Although it's probably not a good idea. lol.
Next time you bring red wine on a camping trip, heat it up over the fire with a couple of cinnamon sticks soaking in it like a tea bag steeping in tea, and then drink when it's boiling hot. It'll warm you up and get you a good night's sleep!
Another good winter trip. I have been a subscriber for a while, seen all your camping videos. Explaining each piece to equipment has helped me tremendously on my little trips. Don’t change anything. Great videos…
Was worried there about your signature banana flask.....but, you got to it. 👍😉 I think for me, about 45 min is a good play time for a good Sam Bananas camping video. 😃
Hey Sam, I’ll take either long or short but I most enjoy the camps where it’s just you. I focus better and learn more from them. It kind of inspires me to go out more myself.
I am glad you showed that stove "flare up" at 14:49 in this video. I have used that style of stove for probably at least 20 years and never saw that, but I also haven't ever tipped it sideways. Recently, though, I saw someone in another YT video tip one sideways while lit to help start a wood fire (can't remember what channel). Anyway, I have a couple upcoming videos where I copied that technique to start my fire in a hot tent stove and I will definitely be referring them to this video to see why that is probably not a good idea. Maybe not a huge risk, but could get out of control if someone gets startled by a flare up and drops the lit stove inside a tent or building. I won't be doing that anymore. Thank you for sharing that incident!!!
Thank you for a nice video. Some of the supplies from Temu looked cheap. But like you said you get what you paid for. I love watching your videos. Short ,long any is ok. They are fun. Wine instead of beer that’s nice too. The wine probably kept you warmer. Take care. See you next week
Dude, I just discovered you - keep these videos coming my friend. I'm in Canada, just bought my first tent and sleeping set for winter. Looking to enjoy some this year 👍
Longer videos works for me ! , 40 plus minutes, rain and or snow makes it better, try 2 videos a week, a short video (10-15 minutes) for short day hikes, maybe show case a new product, then a long video (overnight w/bad weather) why not the best of both worlds 😃 can’t wait for the next video 🎉
Nice, a new Sam video on winter camping … which I am going to watch right now … from inside my hot tent, while I am out winter camping. What could be more perfect? 🤷♂️
@@CampingwithSamBananas Yeah, it’s my third and (sadly) last night tonight. I’d been chomping at the bit all summer for the snow to return. And finally, we got about 2 feet of it the last couple weeks, so I threw together the gear and got my butt out here. Night has fallen, the stove is pumping out heat, I have a belly full of chili, a whiskey at my side, and I can hear fresh snow falling on my tent right now. I am in freakin’ heaven out here. Love your vids, bud. Keep ‘em coming.

Hello Sam, thank you for another awesome video definitely like the longer videos but whatever you’re up to. I’m down to watch you’re an awesome camper. A hell of a gentleman you’re so kind and considerate and respectable Sam. Your wife is very lucky and I’m very lucky being disabled and retired living in Northern California. My Thursday night was complete thank you my friend. I had me a cold Modelo and watched your Temu camp, which was awesome thank you my friend.🙏💯🇺🇸🍺🍺
Hi Sam I ❤ your videos and I would like to see longer videos, but I enjoy all of them because they are very entertaining, interesting and you are hilarious 😂. HI Mrs. Bananas

Thanks Sam! Im a 30-45 minute watcher.. Temu has some useful things, I get all of my sunglasses from them, polarized and cheap. I dont care if i break them or loose them.. I took a pic of that backpack and will give it a go.
I got waterproof socks for riding in the rain and hiking, so a good pair of trail runners can be worn for both. Wear a pair of merino socks under the waterproof ones and you will be warm, dry, and comfortable in trail runners. Always start with a flat spot you will use to cook on your stove. Leave in on the flat spot to light and adjust. You will like how it cooks and you can use them during no fire periods. Everyone that I have known, has lost a meal or two until they found to make sure you have a safe and solid spot for your stove and full pot.
Hey Sam yes definitely tilting of the fuel source would cause it to Flame up like that so just set it down level I found that out the hard way as well LOL

Great video sam thanks for sharing the things you got from Teamu .I tried to down load the coupon but its for first time people. I would like to see longer videos.
Amazing what a thing it is to hike in there with everything you will need in a pack on your back. In some ways, it is the ultimate way to camp. It is so different from car camping that the two just don't belong on the same page. Cuz you can bring the kitchen SINK when you drive it all in with a car or truck. But when ya hike in, you gotta make sacrifices. Not only in weight, but in space as well. For years, I camped without a chair. But I quickly discovered that I WANT that chair, and I started bringing it in. Once you get used TO the camping chair? You will never leave home without it.

Longer and yes on the hot tent. 45 mins to an hour is great. Your consistently have new content out. I really appreciate it.
My pleasure and I appreciate you watching!
Sam the reason the little camping stove is erupting like that is tipping it sideways allows liquid propane to enter the burner.
Was about to comment the same. I do believe most of them even use to say to set in position for 1 minute prior to lighting. :)
Oh I see that's interesting!
Came to make the same comment. KEEP IT VERTICAL.
it's butane not propane

Outstanding,💯..20-45 minutes is good.
Appreciate it!
Don't fret. I once ran out screaming with my new tent heater ...Flames everywhere
Oh no!
Wow the weather changed quickly!!! Snow storm!
Right ?!
I like the variety of different lengths of videos. Just depends on what you’re trying to show us. Bottom line it’s all good 👍
Good to know!
Great spot. You should come back with your hot-tent, for sure.
Noted! I'm already planning it!
Great spot, great vid. thanks.
You're welcome!
The head lamp is kinda cool.... 👍
👍👍
That saw cuts about as well as a Japanese pull saw. I fell in love with Japanese pull saws due to how fast they can work through wood.
Yeah exactly I've got the longer Silky GomBoy (300 mm version). This saw cuts as good as that but it cost like $12.
I hope you got paid well for this 44 min commercial, my man! Good on yah!
Longer videos are cool, but I'll watch no matter what, so do you, brother Sam ! Would like to see a hit tent video there too !
Hot*
Right on!
Longer videos for me!!!!
I can easily sit back sip a good beer and enjoy!
😎👍🏻👍🏻
Right on!
Yes, hot tent

Great content Sam! It doesn’t matter to me how long or short your videos are. Just do what you think is appropriate
Appreciate you saying that!
Yeah chair is basically a must have at this point.
I love Thursdays and when you upload Sam! Thanks for the great video!
Thanks for watching!
