Just a little tip, that little towel acts as a good barrier between the rusting rims of the gas canisters and the bottom of your pot, when you store your canisters inside. 👍🏻 cheers and thanks for another great vid Sam!
I personally like videos between 30 - 40 minutes, but I'll always watch your videos. Hot tent camps are alwys great. Anything you do is great! So much fun!
I am glad you showed that stove "flare up" at 14:49 in this video. I have used that style of stove for probably at least 20 years and never saw that, but I also haven't ever tipped it sideways. Recently, though, I saw someone in another YT video tip one sideways while lit to help start a wood fire (can't remember what channel). Anyway, I have a couple upcoming videos where I copied that technique to start my fire in a hot tent stove and I will definitely be referring them to this video to see why that is probably not a good idea. Maybe not a huge risk, but could get out of control if someone gets startled by a flare up and drops the lit stove inside a tent or building. I won't be doing that anymore. Thank you for sharing that incident!!!
I really like the videos where you use gear from a specific vendor, or even gear not necessarily meant for camping. Keep making the great content! 100K is just around the corner!
Next time you bring red wine on a camping trip, heat it up over the fire with a couple of cinnamon sticks soaking in it like a tea bag steeping in tea, and then drink when it's boiling hot. It'll warm you up and get you a good night's sleep!
I use a Coleman backpack stove that is very similar to your stove. You have to get the stove in a stable upright position ,, then light it and don't tilt or move it while it's lit. I've even used mine in a hotel room. Although it's probably not a good idea. lol.
Hi Sam I ❤ your videos and I would like to see longer videos, but I enjoy all of them because they are very entertaining, interesting and you are hilarious 😂. HI Mrs. Bananas
The longer the better Sam. U were tilting the propane tank over to far and liquid propane was coming out. They are not very dangerous unless you turn one over. I’d love to see you do some hot tent camping in that spot. That little burner would be good too help heat up your tent , u have good ventilation in the top. I love this stuff. Great video’s Man
Ya gotta be mindful about Temu stoves. I think some of the technology was used to ignite the solid rocket boosters on the Space Shuttle. Longer videos, yes, please! You are such a cool guy, so the longer you make a video, the longer we get to hang out with you, Sam. I think it was maybe a couple of videos back--looks like you got a new pipe? What do you smoke? I like cherry flavors in my briarwood. I usually do Captain Black cherry. I've been watching Sam for a long time now. Point being, I think Mrs. Banannas could sell her dehydrated camp meals, if she doesn't already. I'd buy those!
Longer videos works for me ! , 40 plus minutes, rain and or snow makes it better, try 2 videos a week, a short video (10-15 minutes) for short day hikes, maybe show case a new product, then a long video (overnight w/bad weather) why not the best of both worlds 😃 can’t wait for the next video 🎉
Thanks Sam Bro n Fam! Excellent adventure as always💪 Glad ya figured that stove out, I'm sure you planned the fire anyhoot with that bad azz new saw. 15mins or an hour, any content appreciated!! Keep it up now that it's a "job" 😆😆 Aloha from the Cali high desert, take care😎
Bro……we enjoy the videos. You make them the way you want to make them. I think some will prolly be longer and some will prolly be shorter, just depending on the trip. Don’t force it…keep doing you and keep being you. Love watching the videos!
Dude that's exactly right! When I'm out I shoot what feels natural, then I try to edit it so it feels right and it ends up the length it ends up. That's exactly what I do, but for a while now they've been a lot longer.
Thank you for a nice video. Some of the supplies from Temu looked cheap. But like you said you get what you paid for. I love watching your videos. Short ,long any is ok. They are fun. Wine instead of beer that’s nice too. The wine probably kept you warmer. Take care. See you next week
Nice, a new Sam video on winter camping … which I am going to watch right now … from inside my hot tent, while I am out winter camping. What could be more perfect? 🤷♂️
@@CampingwithSamBananas Yeah, it’s my third and (sadly) last night tonight. I’d been chomping at the bit all summer for the snow to return. And finally, we got about 2 feet of it the last couple weeks, so I threw together the gear and got my butt out here. Night has fallen, the stove is pumping out heat, I have a belly full of chili, a whiskey at my side, and I can hear fresh snow falling on my tent right now. I am in freakin’ heaven out here. Love your vids, bud. Keep ‘em coming.
Another good winter trip. I have been a subscriber for a while, seen all your camping videos. Explaining each piece to equipment has helped me tremendously on my little trips. Don’t change anything. Great videos…
Hello Sam, thank you for another awesome video definitely like the longer videos but whatever you’re up to. I’m down to watch you’re an awesome camper. A hell of a gentleman you’re so kind and considerate and respectable Sam. Your wife is very lucky and I’m very lucky being disabled and retired living in Northern California. My Thursday night was complete thank you my friend. I had me a cold Modelo and watched your Temu camp, which was awesome thank you my friend.🙏💯🇺🇸🍺🍺
You had me laughing so hard when you lit that burner! Sorry but it was hilarious 😂 I have always wondered when someone would have one of those things blazing! Yes Sam the longer video the better. I've bought quite a bit of stuff from Temu. Some stuff good some bad. I do love the saw and the headlamp.. Great video! I love all your videos! You're awesome! Cheers from Ohio ❤️
I would love to see a POV Video (maybe a Winter Car Camp) with just the phone on a Gimbal/Tripod that you spin back & forth from you to scenery as a change from the staged cameras,... Back to bare basics :)
Hi Sam, why not put up a banner outside your tent like we used to do in Boy Scouts, it was troop 44, and our group was called The Wild Cats. And camp, cook, and read us some things from the manual book. I still have mine. See what it is to be a real scout!!! By the way my father was our assistant scoutmaster. I made it as far as 1st Class. Have fun with it.
I tried to do something different with the walk and talk intro and then I forgot to do it. I remembered later and then did a banana flask routine but it was during the part with the lost audio, so I cut it 😭
Think the length of the video depends on the interesting stuff you find to do on the camp, just don't force anything that doesn't speak to you. I love the education, and the scenery, parasocial camping. Stay well!
I may make a trip back to that stone hut this winter 😉. Also if you're nostalgic for the stealth camps, go out check out my two most recent with Kevin. They weren't viewed much, but I felt strongly they were absolute classics.
Hot tent Yes Please. Missed the banana tonight Brother. LOL Whoa Nelli Blustery. Another good adventure Sam. Best to Ms. Bananas and fur babies. Check out a guy I watch as well as watching you. Baum Outdoors. I think you'd get a kick watching him.
Sam the reason the little camping stove is erupting like that is tipping it sideways allows liquid propane to enter the burner.
Was about to comment the same. I do believe most of them even use to say to set in position for 1 minute prior to lighting. :)
Oh I see that's interesting!
Came to make the same comment. KEEP IT VERTICAL.
Just a little tip, that little towel acts as a good barrier between the rusting rims of the gas canisters and the bottom of your pot, when you store your canisters inside. 👍🏻 cheers and thanks for another great vid Sam!
Thanks for the tip! That's a good idea, I'll have to try that
I always keep a cotton towel between my cast-iron skillets.
I personally like videos between 30 - 40 minutes, but I'll always watch your videos. Hot tent camps are alwys great. Anything you do is great! So much fun!
Agreed. 30-40 minutes is the ideal length for me. I'll watch longer or shorter ones, no problem with my favorite Utubers though.
Noted and thank you!
The video lasts as long as it lasts, brother. I enjoy either one.
I totally agree with you, Travis that’s what I’m saying whatever you’re down with Sam I’ll watch
❤️
I enjoy the longer videos. 45 minutes is perfect

@@ZeroCreek Right on point for these BP stoves!
I really like the videos where you use gear from a specific vendor, or even gear not necessarily meant for camping. Keep making the great content! 100K is just around the corner!
Noted and thank you! Been thinking of doing a Walmart one, since that was all I used initially and I still have most of that stuff.
Next time you bring red wine on a camping trip, heat it up over the fire with a couple of cinnamon sticks soaking in it like a tea bag steeping in tea, and then drink when it's boiling hot. It'll warm you up and get you a good night's sleep!

Hahaha that's hilarious, I've been tempted to do that too.
I like the longer format videos personally. I love the fact that you show things as they happen. Perfect or not. Keep up the good work Sam.

Intro was a Steve Wallis moment! Thanks Sam! Duo fun.
I was thinking the same thing lol!
BTW Steve has a new video out!

I like the longer videos 35 to 40 minutes but either way I injoy your videos

Proper hot tent, yes please!
Coming soon!
I bought a saw from Temu . I'm going to buy the one you got . It didn't take much to cut that wood . I really like the headlight .. !
