Great tip about keeping the material as a thin wafer so as to heat up quickly. Thanks Doug.

Thanks Shelly, That is really the purpose I wanted to make this video, then I almost forgot to mention it at the end. My brain works in mysterious ways.

Thanks to your video I bought some thermo plastic. It helps hold my small items to engrave.

Perfect! Question, if I create a thin sheet, then want to cut around it (once it’s hard), would that be possible with scissors, or is it too rigid for that? Thanks.

Doug, love your tips & share them w my jewelry & lapidary club. Is the fixture attached to a Benchmate? If so coild you tell me which one & why you like it. Thanks

The fixture is a piece of aluminum that has a “T” shape. The bottom part fits into my ring clamp. This clamp is a GRS clamp, I like it because I can quickly attach it, and it can move into any angle I need for setting. Thanks for stopping by.

Did you make the fixture holder that goes in your vise? Could you go over how that was made and what material is good?

Thanks. It is made out of aluminum. I can't remember where I got it, probably the hardware store.
