Pree… thought you were getting surgery for the neck problem you had earlier. Minuscus is better comparatively 😊 never the less my thoughts are with you,wishing you a speedy recovery! Do you find it comforting that you’re familiar with this type of surgery?
Do take care and rest a lot.miniscus healing can’t be rushed despite modern medicine advances. And read a lot I suppose… you’ll be finished with your entire 2024TBR list soon!😂
Best of luck I had a posterior root Terror of my meniscus was off about 8 to 10 weeks of being not weight-bearing. Follow the plan

I followed and watched you for a long time since 2020. I’m very sorry to hear you are going to have surgery but I would be extremely interested in your recovery if you choose to share that with us as well as just updates on how you were doing. If you could post things like that on this channel that would be wonderful. If you choose not to I wish you all the very best and I’ll “see you” in a month.

Julia, I was a very high-level tennis player at age 48 and I tore my meniscus. I had the surgery by a really great surgeon and I was back on the court in 10 days. If you do everything they tell you to do, you’ll be back in the air in no time, not six weeks!. I wish you luck and lots of care from Eric!❤✈️

Wow Julia, so sorry to hear those bad news. But your always positive attitude towards life will help you for sure to recover faster. Take advantage of this time off and rest, read, spend more time with Luna and family and do all those little things we never find time to do. Good luck with your surgery. I’ve had knee surgery when I tore my meniscus in 1982 when I was a junior in HS and then I finally had a knee replacement in 2018, which was the best thing I ever did. My rehab (off work) was about 5 weeks, and I think total rehab was a few months. You’ll probably feel like a knew person after you’re completely healed and rehabbed. One of the other subscribers made a great suggestion about creating content on your rehab on this channel, I think that’s a great idea. Your subscribers love your personal life as well as your FA life and we want to be here to support you during your rehab. Either way, keeping you in my prayers for a successful surgery and rehab, and enjoy your time off and reading during these next few months when the weather is cold and snowy up your way.

Awe Julia, real sorry to hear this.....I broke my ankle 5 years ago in January, it was not fun at all starting a new year hung up in a boot, so I certainly understand, but once out of that boot and I got the green light, we went to Disneyland and I walked at least 20,000 steps a day for 4 days...sending many well wishes this is behind you real soon. Positive attitude as you have is a sure healer too....Hugs!

At our Christmas gathering, my cousins were all talking about having read the book 4th wing, so I thought about you. Praying for a successful surgery. My dad had that one, and survived.

So sorry to hear of your need for surgery, but no worries here. We will be here when you return. We love your independence and I especially love your travels because years ago I applied to be a flight attendant and was rejected. So I rely on you to take me places I never got to go. Please don’t let others hurt your feelings. We have been with you a long time and remember some of your challenges. In addition to books find an outlet that you enjoy to pass the time and don’t rush the rehab. Eat right, exercise when you can, hug your loved ones and keep those depressive thoughts in the closet.😂

I have had it done twice on both knees I am glad I did but I also still have knee problems but I am now 70 so all of the aches and pains come with age ,you are young and will heal much faster

sorry to hear about your knee. the good news is the recovery is fast and as good as your health and fitness are you should have no issues. i have done the same thing to both of my knees and i was able to come back quickly. we will pray for you.

I have had 3 medial meniscus surgery's ( two left and 1 right) due to the intense game of racquetball.
You will recover perfectly and quickly Julia, that I am sure of!!! I did PT 3x per week for 4 weeks and was back on the court each time with that schedule.
Have a great surgery. I know how you feel. I tore my right meniscus at the gym also. Recovery went quicker than expected. I hope you have a quick recovery, especially with nurse Luna looking after you.

Best of luck, Julia. I had fairly minor knee surgery a few years ago and even being minor I was in rehab for about a month. Not fun, but worked hard with PT & OT and been good since. You've been through it before so it ain't your first rodeo. You'll do fine! 👍

Oh no sweetie...... We do these surgeries all the time. Arthroscopy surgery is one of the best for recovery time, but do what the doctor says.....and if you need physical therapy DO IT! Prayers going out to you for a fast recovery!!!! Your going to be fine......

Best of luck and a speedy recovery. I've already had my left knee scoped back in 2016 for the same reason and you've already had two so you know just as much as I do how it feels. You've got more than enough books and a great support system so I believe you will do just fine. I hope everything goes as planned and you'll be back on your feet in no time. Sorry to hear about the meniscus issue. It happened to me about 10 years ago in my right knee. I had orthoscopic surgery to fix and all went well. As you said, it will take about 4 - 6 weeks for the rehab. Be careful not to try to do things you should not do, that is why Eric is around. And watch that Luna does jump on that leg. Speedy recovery sweetheart.

I know exactly what you are going through. I had meniscus surgery in 2009. They just used a scope, very small cuts. Arthroscopic surgery. That helped, but I had to get a knee replacement in 2016, so hang tough. I hope you never have to get a replacement.
