@@nickreesyt I know, I'm going to watch it today. 😃 But that guy I mentioned, he did some great demos, just a couple of short songs for each pedal. He's not really a content creator on RUclips, he's done maybe 20 videos total and hasn't done one in at least a year. He's got a couple of bands and he's recording/producing bands too, if I'm not mistaken. But his jams are really great, it's the sort of music I like and similar to what I play, so it's inspiring. I have and had a couple of pedals that he's demoed, like the OBNE Excess V2, and his demo has helped me make that pedal more useful to me in my context of playing and making music. I know this sounds either like an ad for that other channel, or that I'm in love with Abe LOL! But he's not active with his content creating, so it's fine, I hope. 😄 Now I'm off to watch your demo, I might learn something. 😃 Edit: I just realized that you have more videos than the one demo and Dark Star ramper video. Cool, I've put them all in my watch later list!
@@nedim_guitar haha that’s great man…and feel free to recommend other channels I was just joking. I love watching so many inspirational players here myself. I’m going to check him out myself right now. I do want to do more in-depth OBNE videos at some point…my bigsky videos have been pretty light touch truth be told. I’m also a huge fan of their work on the mood pedal
@@nickreesytCheers Nick! Well I’m tempted to purchase the dark star for some ambient pad sounds, but the lack of a latching hold is making me think it’s possible to get in the ball park with the Lvx exp hold..any thoughts?
@@bobflemming100 well the LVX has a built in looper so that’s an immediate first option. Obviously you can crank feedback on it too if you want almost self oscillation style repeats.
@@nickreesyt pretty similar to you, however I like to try to lock mine into a rhythmic pattern. So quarter note or half note length reverse delays work well for me.
Reverse. I love reverse. I often have reverse delay low in the mix after a couple of other delays. Sometimes I reverse whole ambient tracks in my DAW to add to the soundscape.
@@dougtolley it’s such a great technique. I built a whole track for the new album out of a 2 1/2 minute ambient bass part. It’s amazing what some reversing and eq-ing can do.
The song in the background at the start sounded good!
ok elephant ears! 👌👌👌👌
Love the slooooow clock reverse sounds, all crushed and mucky. Big reverse fan i am. Well put together video Nick.
Doug I only made this video because of you
@@nickreesyt I should bloody well think so too!
Incredible sounds mate
Thanks for checking in this thing kinda plays itself
very intriguing and nice examples on how to use this reverse pedal, thanks, subbed !!
Ah thanks for stopping by and glad to have you along for the journey! New videos every Monday and Wednesday
🤘👍🏿👍🏿🤘 Thank goodness, a great demo that shows how it stacks with other pedals.
What a cool pedal hey
I really want this pedal. It’s pretty cool. The dark star also seems like a lot of fun.
Cool is definitely the word! darkstar is a fave of mine for those subtle textures yeh
Check out some demos of the Dark Star. Especially the demo that Abe Anderson does on his channel Cloud Factory Sound.
@@nedim_guitar darkstar rules…. Also available on the Nick rees RUclips channel 😅

Really nice sounds. I just got the Mood mkII, this might have to be the next one …
You can actually get some very similar sounds using the slip mode on the mood…don’t forget the left hand side of the mood is designed by OBNE
Cool sounds Nick.
Thanks Steve I feel like this works really well as another layer to your sound
Great videos!
Would love to see you try and emulate some obne pedals with the LVX.
Thanks Jack welcome to the channel. What pedals specifically do you have in mind?

Dammit. Now I want this pedal! I use the reverse mode on the canyon a lot but this sounds much richer!
yeh it’s great. it’s very similar to one of the settings in the mood mk2 also…………….👀
Also would work ace on vocals I reckon
I love reverse delay and use it all the time.
Do you use it any differently to me josh?

Brilliant. What pedal are you using for that?
@@nickreesyt just the reverse delay on my M5. I could use it on the Stomp but it’s just already to hand on the M5.
I like your way of thinking, I've reversed whole tracks in the past too.

It doesn't sound good
Thanks for watching
