Their debut made it clear that Hak was better. However as the series went on Tohru seemed to be on relative terms with him. He was getting easily overwhelmed without the unorthodox in their first fight in Season 2, but by Season 3 Tohru was able to dodge attacks from a FAR stronger chi warrior Hak Foo. Season 4 and 5 they don’t fight if I remember.
