What a beautiful train station and wow the price was right for that ticket . Looks like there is no shortage of books in Alexandria . Great video Ben .
Which country are u from..... Myself traveling to Egypt next month from india Came to know prices for foreigners...and low price for Egyptian and arabians Whats the price for cairo to alexandria and cairo to luxor
Hey there! I appreciate you checking out my video. I'm from Canada, but I don't know the train prices that locals pay. Unfortunately I don't remember exactly what I paid for Cairo to Alexandria, but it was very reasonable... maybe US$3-4 or so. I didn't take the Cairo to Luxor route, but I took the Alexandria to Aswan route which is much longer and it was also quite cheap, maybe $10-12 for a second class night train.
when i was going from cairo to tanta few years ago (it s like the direction to alexandria) i paid few pounds and i paid inside the train , but conditions was very very low , i think that was the 3rd class train 🤣 and crowded as fu** and smell like a S+it hole , but was also a experience :D
Haha oh wow man that sounds cool, yeah I think it's often worth trying the 3rd class trains just for the experience. It helps people appreciate the better conditions later on. Thanks for sharing!
Hey, hope you are doing great. Do you remember if you bought that ticket from the egyptian national railways, or another company? I'll have a flight just before the train, and was thinking on buying directly from the ticket window, as you did. Thanks in advance.
Hey Garibaldi! Unfortunately I don't recall which company I bought the ticket from. If you simply show up to the train station and ask every person in sight like I did, you'll eventually find the ticket window you're looking for. Just watch out for that sketchy cop who wanted to "help" by selling me a ticket himself.
Nope I got the same official price at the ticket window. I heard they used to force foreigners to take the sleeper train if traveling all night, but they don't do that anymore
@@umerchaudhary000 great! I'm sure you'll have an amazing time. It's a pretty easy country to travel, and not expensive. Thanks for following my journey!

I must have started my walk around 5:30-5:45 as the sky started getting light. It was about 3 kms from my hostel to the train station

Thank you sir!
