I don’t understand why people believe that shearing sheep is cruelty. It’s only 2 or 3 minutes out of a year. It’s a necessity for this type of sheep. I know there are rough shearers out there that often nick the sheep because they are trying to do it as fast as possible. But for a good shearer who takes their time and tries not to hurt the sheep is a good find. Charley is one of them. You really love your sheep, something which I often see in your videos. It’s hard not getting attached to them. They rely on you for everything, and sometimes it’s us relying on you….. you show us everything. Your ups and downs. That love you show on your channel spreads to us. Some of us are a little deficient in it. Your love of life and sheep farming helps us to keep going. ❤❤
All ya have to do is google 'Fiona' or 'Shrek' to see what happens if you don't shear a sheep. And as a nurse (retired), I have trimmed toenails that curled around & actually cut into the pads of elderly toes. Same would happen to sheep. Sandi is totally trustworthy @ giving humane care to sheep, dogs, people 💕💕💕💕

Love watching your videos. My grandpa was a rancher/farmer in Nebraska (sheep & corn) and watching you with the sheep makes me think of him. At shearing time he would challenge the farm hands with $100 bonus for the fastest one. He got them all (250) shorn in one day. Lol. Keep up the good work and God bless. 🐑🐏

IDEA. Sandi that sweater with the hearts. Just do a really big one centre front (or a cluster of hearts together ❤ to make a big heart) and call it designer. No need to undo the work already done. It looks good. Might give it a go myself. And I will work on both front and back ❤💟💖
Am I the only one who thinks Sandies old farmhouse would look absolutely stunning restored, imagine old farmhouse kitchen and beautiful timber stairs😍She does have her own personal brilliant timber man😁
1 summer Sandi showed footage of interior. A lot of water damage, very dilapidated. I'd love to see a TV reno team take reclaiming it on as a project. Would be lots of traffic in the Brocks' yard but imagine how many of Sandi's 1.09 subscribers would be fascinated? 💕💕
My husband and I just got over Covid for the first time. I had such a terrible sore throat and my lower part of my body hurt and ached. I slept so much and a week post I am still very tired. My husband had very mild symptoms. He worked from home for two weeks and felt like he had a cold. It was our first time getting it. My taste buds were sensitive to the salt taste. Everything tasted like it had been over salted. Feel better soon. 😘
I think the sweater didn't turn out as bad as you feel. I think the hearts on the back are cute. You should keep those and then do some more hearts on the front on the opposite side. It would look really cute!
I'm teaching myself different crafting skills at the moment Sandi, and the best thing I've ever learned is to keep my very first (and some subsequent attempts) to show myself how far I've come and how much I've learned!, who cares what the "Negative Nellie's " out there think, let jealousy just 'Jog On'😘🏴
Charlie's shearing literally looks like back-breaking work. Bless him!🙏 Willow was just chillin', not struggling at all. That ambidextrous handover from left to right hand is so cool!💕💕Look how Willow hung around w/Sandi & Charlie while her BFF got sheared. She looks like she's @ the hairdressers🤣💕💕
Charlie has to have the softest hands from all that shearing he does! He always does an AMAZING job! I'm sure Clarissa didn't mind having to clean up a little extra. I'm praying you didn't get full blown sick! It seems to be going around and it seems to be pretty nasty! You all need to take care of yourselves! Stay blessed! Sending lots of prayers! I love you so very very much Sandi and family! Happy Valentine's Day! 💘🥰💖🤗❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I am constantly amazed by how many jobs you are able to accomplish. I can’t even imagine running all the equipment and driving big trucks with trailers. Wow
Sandi, I love the sweater with hearts! Perfect Imperfection is a saying in Japanese: "Wabi Sabi." I can empathize because I literally do _everything_ backwards, so I think it's perfect...like back- pocket embroidery.❤😅 And I forgot that little Red has a black heart shape on her chest. It's wonderful to see Charlie at work- and the girls up close.🙏🏼
I think it speaks volumes about Charlie's skill, how long he's been working with your sheep, and your regular sheering (and handling) that the ewes are comfortable enough to just mill around while Charlie continues to sheer other sheep.
Nice you are able to help out Jack with his basement. Looking great for him to be warm and dry. Anyone who says that sharing sheep is cruel do not understand sheep. If their wool is left to grow it is very unhealthy for them. Just go watch the special sheep game video where a sheep did not have its wool cut for several years. The poor thing almost could not move.
Sandi, I have to say Thank you for your videos. I am recovering from breast cancer. Luckily caught early. Now cancer free. Jess is an angle keeping us strong. I hope you both know how comforting you are. The sheep show so much love. Your love always shows through. Thank you for my does of special love with each video. ❤❤❤
About the embroidery. Those are LOVELY hearts! And it's not a mistake, it's a DESIGN ELEMENT! The first time you do anything, especially crafty stuff, it will take much longer than someone doing it for the "nth" time. I have my doubts that it took the presenter only 30 seconds. Absolutely no way. You are doing an amazing job and are very brave to put your efforts on RUclips. I am currently redoing the threading of a weaving project on my loom. I had had it mostly done (so that I could weave) and then I found several very grave mistakes... those "I could continue, but I won't be able to complete my project" kinds of things. I have been weaving for a long time. I, and all the other ladies in my weaving class make mistakes or are continually learning how to do different weaves, types of yarn, etc. Those are very pretty. Keep them.
I love the hearts! Personally, i'd leave the ones on the back as a touch of... _"whimsy"_ but repeat a similar pattern -- maybe a _little_ bigger? -- on the front. [The embroidery with yarn (as opposed to silk or cotton embroidery floss) is called "crewel embroidery" -- "crewel" being the (?)Welsh for "wool". (Sorry -- etymology is a hobby since i was five & discovered dictionaries.)]
As a person that crochets, your video gave me such a giggle. I love that you try new things and that you show the results, even though they are not “stellar”! Love your utubes, thanks for spending so much time showing your life.
Ahhh ha ha ha ha ha! I had such a good laugh at your crafting boo boos because it was the same as laughing at my own "talents!" Sometimes these things actually turn out to be BETTER than our plans!!! 😆😆😆
Instead of taking the hearts out of that sweater, just flip it over & put hearts up on the opposite side but up higher about even with your heart. That way your showing your love coming & going. ♥️💕
Happy Valentine's Day everyone 💕💝💖💌💟. Sorry you are sick Sandi, there is alot of crud going around in the states too. Lots of hot tea with lemon and honey. And if you can tolerate it throw a little whiskey in it at bedtime. Willow's group looks great all sheared for babies. 💝🐑💖😴💌🐏💟😴😴😴😴😴😴😴
I’m in lower Michigan and feel the same way! Our wonderful winter full of sunshine, snow and cold has been horrid! No sunshine, little snow, some cold. The sunshine makes all the difference!
I love watching Charlie shear! He’s so wicked fast he’s gentle and caring of the ewes… The basement in Jacks house is coming along nicely, definitely done right this time… Sandi, I know that I just watch you briefly when you are working, but watching you go and go sometimes makes me tired 😂😂😂 You’re absolutely awesome!!! Sending y’all lots of love and blessings from Pennsylvania 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼♥️
Long time lurker first time commentor, I started watching your content when i saw the short with the lamb that had the abscess on its neck/back and have been watching ever since. Ive loved watching your channel grow and you become more prominent, in your last video about the comment it hit pretty close to home because i have also struggled with self image issues and i hate to know that my favorite sheep farmer and youtube person is going through that, but we all have our own battles and struggles and we are all only human. I just wanted to let you know that your bright smile and your personality is what has kept me coming back and watching every new video (the cute sheep help as well obviously haha). I know im just another youtube view but i wanted you to know that i exist and to tell you how much you and my channel mean to me. You have helped me through some very hard times and have always been there to cheer me up even if you never knew i existed. You have inspired me to start crocheting and i can only hope that one day i will get to use the wool that i see turned into yarn and how much love and care is being put into it. I know i will be here till whenever you decide to quit (im almost 22 and idk if you will be sheep farming when im in my 40s-50s but i know ill be here xD) Also i think the hearts on the back are very stylish! and i hope you get well soon :)
Hey, committing 4 hours to putting hearts on that sweater just proves you're 1. Learning, and 2. Stubborn. You are my inspiration for keeping it up, for study and practice! I bought the supplies to start drawing on pebbles and rocks with metallic pens and a Dremmel Stylo mini to etch them, too. Wish me luck, y'all! Love from chilly Northern California!
Hi Sandi. I pray you get better soon and Mark and Jess and Karissa, too, don’t come down with it either. I support you and Mark with my thoughts and prayers for your family and pray G-d blesses you folks with good weather, good plantings, good harvests, and successful healthy lambing. Thanks for your videos! Happy Valentine’s Day! 💝
Oh goodness, I hope it’s not Covid. Get some rest and drink lots of water. Oh and by the way, you are absolutely Beautiful! Don’t yet that grumpy girl get you down. A natural beauty is far more beautiful than a fake beauty. Hugs, get better soon.
If you feel the yarn is too thin, just double it and stitch with two strands instead of one. I’m sure you’ve figured that out by now. Oh well. Cute hearts. I hope you left them. ❤️
Happy valentines day Sandi. Thanks for sharing with us. I love watching Charlie shear. That is a talent and he's funny with his should been a cowboy statement. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Take care
Sandi I have to laugh when you back up your trailer. I can remember how worried you would get when you first started to learn how to back up! You have come a long way for sure. You can back up like a trucker, goedzo. You all take care and stay safe. Thank you for making my day!
You gave me such a chuckle with your hearts - that is exactly what I would do only I would have sewn it on the wrong side plus sewed it together! Thanks for the day brightener on a gray rainy day! I love your videos!
When u help get Jack's place up to date, you should rebuild the old house near ur place for Jessica. It has beautiful woodwork in it and Jess won't be done with college for a while so ul have time lol
My wish is for one of those TV reno teams to do it. Sandi & Mark work pretty full-on. Have been amazed that Mark, like my dad, makes the most of any 'spare' time 💕💕
Loved watching the shearing. Charlie is so talented. Sounds like you could have COVID. Take good care of yourself. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. 🌹
Sandi you're amazing person. And you're naturally a beautiful woman! Make-up would hide that! Anyone who has to doll up for their "man" doesn't have a man. You're out working in a barn anyway. God Bless you and your family, and say a prayer for the individual who said that about you. They must have something going on in their life to say that to you. Then again some people are just judgemental no matter what.
Sandi, I'd leave the little hearts on the back hip and just do your bigger heart on the front. It's too cute to throw away all that effort. You'll have a "one of a kind" sweater!
Being sheared must feel sooo good for the sheep. I saw on another channel a sheep that hadn't been sheared in three years! I think the fleece weighed nearly 100 lbs. Can you imagine that poor animal caring all that weight around?! On another note, would it be possible to preorder your Advent Calendars? I so loved watching you felt the little ornaments. Kudos to Jack, Mark and you for taking on the project of redoing the basement. I did some cleanup work on the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina, wet and stinky! Woman you sure know your way around those tools, impressive !
Oh my goodness I'm so sorry but I did laugh out loud when you picked up your sweater, I knew exactly what you were going to say. Been there done that 😂 but the hearts looked great. Thanks for sharing.
The shearing position of the lamb just makes me remember when o was pregnant trying to bend over or put on my shoes. It is wonderful to see them all nice a clean getting ready for lambing. I can’t wait to see the babies.
Hi Sandy! I am very happy to see that you are a crafter too, in addition to your hectic schedule. I love how you are so good with your sheep! I'm from Saskatchewan, so I am always excited to see little parts of Ontario too when you share them. I, too, am a crafter. I love crocheting and knitting. I just wanted to give you a tip when it comes to thicker yarns. If you need a thicker yarn, you can always use 2 or 3 strands of the same yarn to make your yarn thicker. For projects like you are doing, make a couple of small balls from the big yarn skien and then put them together while you sew! By the way, those are great hearts! You can have them on the front and back of the sweater. I think it would give it character!! Keep doing what your doing, and all the best to you, Mark, Jack and your brave warrior, Jess! ❤❤❤

Exactly, NOT sheering them is cruelty. It doesn't shed like dogs or cats so it can get heavy enough to kill them.

Some of the lambs are as big as their moms. I love, love watching the lambs running and jumping. I could sit and just watch them play for hours.
Jess and Jack are so lucky to have parents like you!❤ wishing you all much better. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
"couldn't taste my coffee" makes me think COVID? 🙏Pray whatever virus you've caught goes away soonest! 💕💕
I think the sweater didn't turn out as bad as you feel. I think the hearts on the back are cute. You should keep those and then do some more hearts on the front on the opposite side. It would look really cute!
Seconded.
I'm teaching myself different crafting skills at the moment Sandi, and the best thing I've ever learned is to keep my very first (and some subsequent attempts) to show myself how far I've come and how much I've learned!, who cares what the "Negative Nellie's " out there think, let jealousy just 'Jog On'😘🏴
With the hearts on the back of the sweater Mark has something to watch when you walk away, lol. I hope you feel better soon Sandi.
Oooo lala
Covid never went away.🤔
The repair on Jack's place is looking like it's going well.
I am constantly amazed by how many jobs you are able to accomplish. I can’t even imagine running all the equipment and driving big trucks with trailers. Wow
Sandi, I love the sweater with hearts! Perfect Imperfection is a saying in Japanese: "Wabi Sabi." I can empathize because I literally do _everything_ backwards, so I think it's perfect...like back- pocket embroidery.❤😅
And I forgot that little Red has a black heart shape on her chest. It's wonderful to see Charlie at work- and the girls up close.🙏🏼
Reminds me of my favourite Leonard Cohen song: There is a crack in everything....it's how the light gets in" 💕💕
Don’t rip out your hearts. What you created is one of a kind!😊
I think it speaks volumes about Charlie's skill, how long he's been working with your sheep, and your regular sheering (and handling) that the ewes are comfortable enough to just mill around while Charlie continues to sheer other sheep.
I love how calm willow is about shearing. And her wool is GORGEOUS
Willow is absolutely gorgeous after being sheared!
I hope you have a quick recovery! ❤❤❤❤
Google 'Fiona' or 'Shrek' for vivid footage. PETA is out to lunch on this one!
Fiona!
That sweet, curious black and white ewe is so cute 🥰
That's Willow..She is sweet.
Keep them.
Exactly! It’s a custom design, never an “oops “!
that's how a conneisseur knows it's hand-made & therefore worth mega $$$ 💕💕like the "wabi-sabi' comment 💕💕
I'm a fellow word nerd! 💕💕I also prefer to wear sweaters that are patterned both back & front 💕💕
The opened up area has been a most WONDERFUL improvement for "the ladies!"
I personally love the heart! ❤❤ Just remember, there are no mistakes in handcrafting; just originals!!!! Go rest and feel better soon!!!🥰🥰❤️❤️
Just amazing watching Charlie position the sheep for shearing! He makes it look so easy! GET SOME REST SANDI & FEEL BETTER SOON!
I love when the ewes come back and look to see what Charlie is doing to their friends!
Sheering sheep is very important. More cruel to leave fleece on them. You are a wonderful person
Feel better soon. I was singing "wool, glorious wool" throughout. So lucky you all have the skills to redo Jack's home.
love your re-branding Olivers's "Food, glorious food!" Very appropriate!💕💕
Those lambs are getting so big! You're doing great! Also, those golden girls don't know how spoiled they are. They are so lucky
My dogs are so excited! They love your sheep as much as I do! They like to crawl up and sit with me while I watch your episodes. :)
Love to watch Charlie shear sheep. He has quite a dance of motions. Willow loves Charlie❤️
The boys are going to be much fitter with all this extra running about.😂 Real athletes 😅
I hope your son appreciates how talented and willing to help his parents are.
Happy Valentine’s Day all!! ❤❤
The sheered sheep are so white they almost shine!!! Thank you Charlie for the ear worm of "Should have been a cowboy" It will be in my head all day:)
The one getting sheered at about 24:20 seemed to have a ❤️ on the chest area. Happy day everyone! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
That's Red! I noticed that too! ❤️
It's a Tunis or Tunis cross ewe.
Jack is very lucky to have parents who are handy! You are such amazing people!
… ❤C H A R L I E ❤ Doing his ambidextrous shearing ❤
Mark is a man with soooo many talents, you are one lucky woman Sandi🥰💝, and Mark you are amazing 💝🥰
The girls look great! I can hardly believe Willow is due so soon!!
I am sorry to hear you're feeling so crummy, I hope it passes quickly.
The little lambs grow so fast!
DON'T TAKE THE HEARTS OUT! They are perfect. Just put 3 more on the front, opposite side. It'll be grand!!!❤❤
I’m in lower Michigan and feel the same way! Our wonderful winter full of sunshine, snow and cold has been horrid! No sunshine, little snow, some cold. The sunshine makes all the difference!
I love watching people who are good at what they do, and your man Charlie is a craftsman par excellence!
No matter how many times I see him shearing, warmth overflows within me. Thank you, keep doing a great job!❤
Love shearing time! HGP dropped a little secret the other day.
So jealous that my two favorite RUclips people might meet and I will miss it. They should both get a video of it to post on their channel. ❤❤
You did a great job on the sweater! Just put some matching hearts on the front.
Feel better soon. Love watching your videos. They always make me smile 😊
I love Kinsey she is such a good dog, her tail is always wagging! She really loves you Sandi! ❤
Charlie always does such a great job with the shearing.
❤
I LOVE ❤ the fact that the hearts are on the back. I would wear it that way!!
Thursday, the boys are going to be wandering around all day, "What happened to our exercise routine??" 🤣💕💕
Your yarn is perfect! Don’t over think it. It looks great and don’t take it out. Just let it be as what you planned. ❤️
🎉❤❤ S A N D I ❤❤🎉Just what I needed, all that I need.
❤Happy Valentine’s Day to the family. Love the little black sheep watching the shearing
Willow, still bonded with Sandi & I think that was her BFF Red, just chillin' @ the hairdresser's 💕💕
Hey Sandi, Graeme Parker said you were going to meet up while you're in the UK. I love watching both of you! Enjoy the trip and the fellowship.
Oh my goodness, you gave me a great laugh because we have all been there. Any of us that craft have that moment.
