@TampaCary All modern handguns should be carried with a loaded chamber. Racking the action requires two hands and is impossible if your support hand is injured or busy blocking, striking, dealing with family, etc.
@toshindodisciple That firearm is a S&W M&P 9mm. Here's the short answer on stopping power. ALL handgun rounds are anemic. 45 has a bit more stopping power than 9mm with modern hollow points, but both require multiple, good hits. That said, 9mm has easier to control recoil and higher capacity. No perfect answer
thanks for the vid, very informative. this may be a dumb question but..... shooting one handed do you prefer a smaller calliber? that's clearly not a 45. i'm looking for a carry gun and i'm caught up on the "stopping power" of a large caliber, that's the only reason i ask.
