Hello and great video.I will be greatful if tou can help me. I have pressure switch which is operating with 230V Ac. I need to shut of a gas solenoid valve which operates with 230V. Shall i use a contactor
Not quite the use of contactors is for big loads in your case a 230v relay will do just fine.it depends what kind of gas solenoid valve you have, normally for safety reasons something like a gas detector send the signal to the valve it goes off and stays off till you return manually on the normal position
@@NoSkillsRequired Thank you very much for replying. In my case is a fire suppression system in a commercial kitchen. When the system is activated the pressure switch should send a signal to the solenoid valve to close. In this particular kitchen the solenoid is connected to the gas detector. Shall i connect my pressure switch directly to the gas detector?
@@NoSkillsRequired so you doubled up the live wire so the live runs through all of the contactor (apart from T3 of course which you used for the neutral)

thanks master
Thank you
Your are welcome, there are more stuff to say about them but in future videos
can you explain the reason why do we have to wire contactor like that? thanks
To protect the inside contacts that open and closes the circuit, extra protection this is the short version of the answer
This is not a standard way of wiring a contactor

@@NoSkillsRequiredyou are not allowed to break a neutral neutral needs to stay intact. It cannot go through a breaker or any switching means.
Do not wire like this it doesn't meet code.
Looks like a micro contactor.
