Kelli O'Hara is an heir to the soprano throne. Her voice is not only enchanting. She never sings anything without true feeling. She is the total package. She should be declared a super star!!!!!!!

Silver54ful she is fantastic but this song doesnt suit her in this particular key, doesnt show her true skills. Dont get me wrong please, just my observation.

She’s an amazing singer, and her acting is pretty good as well. She studied under the same coach as Kristin Chenoweth so makes tons of sense, they’re both amazing, can’t wait to maybe see O’Hara one day live, she’s been my idol since the day of my first show and intro to theatre in 6th grade

Many years ago, during a college friends weekend trip to NYC, I went off on my own and I saw this at Lincoln Center. It was an incredibly extraordinary and deeply moving experience that I'll always be grateful for.

Kelli O Hara is one of the best American sopranos singing on Broadway and at The Metropolitan opera with the same talent

I saw and immediately fell in love with this fantastic musical in NYC with Kelli O’Hara as Clara. It just blew me away to the point I went back three nights later. By now I know every note of every song and every line of the script. Mille grazie to everyone who had anything to do with this wondrous show❤️❤️❤️

    I don't see a miracle
    Shining from the sky
I'm no good at statues and stories
    I try...
That's not what I think about
    That's not what I see
I know what the sunlight can be...
The light, the light in the Piazza
    Tiny, sweet...
    And then it grows
And then it fills the air!
Who knows what you'll call it
    I don't care!
    Out there somewhere
I have something I have never had...
    As sad, as happy...
    That's all I see
    The light in the Piazza
    The light in the Piazza
    It's rushing out...
    It's pouring out!
    It's flying through the air!
    Over the air!
Who knows what you call it
    But it's there!
    It is there!
    All I see is
All I want is tearing from inside!
    I see it!
    Now I see it!
    Everywhere, it's everywhere!
    It's everything and everywhere!
    Fabrizio...
    The Light in the Piazza...
    My love...

Anyone know why it’s a half-step down? Was this common for her to do in performance?

I think it’s often performed this way. Depending on the capabilities of the actor or if they’re having an off day.

Rajah Pound search up the light in the piazza sheet music and you should find it, or search up the light in the piazza instrumental accompaniment
