got 2 on amazon, for my new build system, both on 12900k cpu. its best valued 360MM liquid cooler out there, bought one, 100% no problem, 5 year warranty. color is great. i dont feel its noisy at all, cuz your case fans probably produce more noisy. tuned the fan speed according system temp, when underload, most likely i have headphone on anyways. kept my cpu at 27c (probably room temp) at idle. 70ish under 100% load. i used artic max-6 thermal paste.
Great. I'm convinced the cooler performs well. But I don't know anyone who used it for long enough to give a proper review. Since it's been 6 months or more, how is the cooler doing now
People don’t seem to know thermalright.. i’ve used their products for years and they offer way better quality than the name brands out there.. dare I say even Nzxt/Corsair. I had a kraken elite 360 and the thermalright cooler just feels nicer and more premium, it also pairs well with an AM5/LGA1700 contact frame. And most surprising of all, it outperformed my 300$ Nzxt cooler by 4c on a 13900K.. it’s insane

@@DowsettReviews hi mate i connected mine but i noticed only the pump is lighting RGB effects but the Fans on the radiator ain't spinning, i did connect the 4pin to CPU fan on the mobo Z790 Aoros Elite AX
I just received this off Amazon - is it normal to hear the water sloshing ( and almost a metal sound ) when tilting the radiator? I hooked everything up and no cooling . Could feel the water moving and the pump running but temps quickly rose to 80c.
The rad is never 100% full so could be the sloshing noise. Is the pump running? Make sure its Sara powered. If all is connected correctly and still not working correctly then I'd say return it, may have got unlucky and got a bad one, it's always possible.
Same here. Got it today and seemed to work at first but after about 20mins Temps shot up to over 100°C while browsing the internet. Also had the sloshing sound when I installed the unit. Pump made weird noises the second it turned on though... first I figured it probably needs priming to push all the air out of the pump but then it just failed. Will return and try again.
@@DowsettReviews I couldn’t think of the name off the top of my head, sorry for the really bad description but it’s a variation of the hyper 212 black edition. @morrisdennison8039 you should find this would cool better than the 212. It's a decent cooler but this has much more thermal capacity. Sorry I have no idea what 70 is in normal temperature, I'm from the UK 🤣🤣
mine is really loud and runs at max speed. In fancontrol it shows that it runs at 3500rpm but even if i change the speed it doesnt get much more quiet. anyone got any tips?
Great video. I love this AIO, very reasonably priced and looks even better than some very expensive ones. What kind of temps would I get with this AIO on a system with 7800x3d and a 7900xtx?
I'm not entirely sure. I tested it on 5900x. Most 360 aios I've had on my 7900x have been low to mid 80s on cinebench so I would imagine 7800x3d will stay very low with this as it is very good. Cinebench is worst case scenario so gaming won't get anywhere near as hot.
I don't know why all the companies put the fans on the bottom when you would get better performance with them on the top as intake. In my custom loop that's the way we do it and sometimes we go balls to the wall with "Push-Pull" on the radiator.
Thanks for your video, made up my mind with it, I’m going for this aio for my i5 12400f, but i’m wondering, will it cool a i7 12th gen or i5 13th gen if I upgrade my cpu one day ? +1 sub btw keep it up 💪
I got this but the black version its so good, 34.5c or less while idle, 68c on 100% util on my 5700x3d. 49-50c while gaming. and it is completely quiet all I can hear is my central air
Hello ! could you pleae help me out ? i have heard that this cooler's fnas are noicy , and i ordered Noctua A12x25 PWM fans to replace the stock fans of my thermalright black edition, will these fans will reduce the noice? and if yes does Noctua fans will be as effective as the stock fans in regards of cooling?
Have a look at the specs of the fans you ordered and compare them to these fans. The details will be on the website which will give noise levels in dB and will also give you static pressure figures so you'll be able to see how they should compare. The noctua are great fans so you should be good to go
I got this exact cooler and it actually feels better built and more premium than my Nzxt Kraken elite, the coldplate is huge to and it covers the entire cpu ihs
My apologies I didn't mention it in the video. They are 3 pin 5v argb standard fans and yes they have female and male connections on them to daisy chain.
There are two wires connected to the CPU Water-block, the wider one connects to the CPU/WP, does the slimmer one connect to a regular 4 pin fan connector or must it also be connected to a secondary CPU fan connector? Also there is a 3 port plastic connector comprised of two black ports and one white, do all three water cooler fans connect to that module or do you connect something else to the white port? I'm mounting my Thermalright Frozen Prism 360 to an ASRock Taichi x670e motherboard in a Hyte Y60 case, I've always used air coolers in the past. After reading the Prism 360 manual and the ASRock Mobo manual I'm still a little confused about exactly where to make these connections. Good job on the review btw!
The 4 pin connector that looks just like a fan connector, ideally wants to go to an AIO header if your board has one (I would think it does) but otherwise will work in a fan header I think the AIO ones can draw more current but I could be wrong Maybe your manual will tell you for your motherboard. I'm not quite sure what you are referring too with the plastic port I'm afraid. If you like you can email me a picture and I'll take a look. Thanks for your kind comments glad you liked the review and thanks for watching.
I think from testing this one was up there for sure however it's been a while so would need to go back and look at test results. This one performs really well though and I think out of the ones I've tested it's the best looking.
Indeed, the Prism looks the best. Which one would you go for: the Prism or the Magic Scenic? I heard the Scenic should be quieter, quality-wise the best. Also, is there any leaking problems?
@user-of9nv1vb3w I think it was a little quieter. Not had any leak problems at all. I would get th prism mainly on looks and all the rgb fans. The fans on scenic are better but not rgb.
Unfortunately I haven't tested the frozen notte but I do believe that the specs on this one are higher and it should perform better. Take a look at thermalright website and compare the specs of them. I think it's the fans on this one that make it better but I could be wrong.
