Great elephant footage. I love the way the baby elephants who haven't got total control over their trunks just stick their heads in the water...

Thanks. There are few things more entertaining than watching baby elephants!

Really appreciate your comment and I'm pleased you like the captions. It's something that's missing on many safari videos and I'm sure knowing the names adds to the enjoyment. Thanks for watching.

Weren't they wonderful? We just sat there for ages and let them come to visit us. They could easily have gone in the opposite direction.

Just finished a month in the Kruger Series, now starting with this one. My husband and I both love your videos. We are a young family from South Africa, and stay right next to KNP, we go at least once a month just for day drives, but in a few days we are heading to Tamboti for a week. You should really consider going to Tamboti on your next trip. It is the bush experience at its best, especially with all the night sounds. It is by far our favorite camp.

Many thanks for your kind words. We have stayed at tamboti before but before I started making videos. I agree that it is a great bush experience although the last time we stayed it was almost unbearable! Temperature outside was in the high 30's and inside the tent it was well above 40° making it imposible to sleep. The bedsheets were literally soaking wet by morning!

@oldcodgerwithacamera Totally understandable. It is exactly for that reason why we always go to Tamboti in the winter 😂

Oh my ....once again , exceptional footage !! I live in Cape Town SA and Kruger is my best place on earth ! Kruger in summer is magnificent ! wish I could afford to go more often ! Thank you for sharing xx

Thankyou! I often get envious of people who live in South Africa thinking they can easily visit the Kruger but then I realise just how big the country is. Cape Town to Kruger is farther than the very top to the very bottom of the UK!

What a lovely first episode for this year’s Kruger trip! The S56 is such a wonderful drive and it’s so cool to see it so lush and green. That elephant sighting sure was one for the books….those tiny babies were so cute. Can’t wait till your next episode 😀

Thanks. I'm sure you'll love your trip, it will be much drier in October with much less vegetation and you should find the game easier to spot.

Hello there Les and to your lovely wife too 😊
We met at Satara in Feb 😊
Oh wow brilliant footage as usual - your films are stunning - love love the “Ellie’s” - noticed at the end Mommy Ellie was giving you the look 😂😂
So enjoyed your Kgalagadi video’s as well - you had some brilliant sightings that so many people just wish for but never have them
Cannot wait for the next episodes of the Kruger -
Regards to you both - Jenny and Sonny O’Neill (Tracey is Sonny’s sister)

We are active 80 year olds and are planning a 2024 trip to Kruger, flying from Washington DC to either Cape Town or JoBerg. This will be our first and most likely last trip Kruger probably staying for at least 2 to 3 weeks. We are thinking April, May or June. 😂We are looking for some guidance on the best use of our time. We do drive a lot but don’t know if we should attempt it on this trip. Probably will be 4 of us old codgers. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA.

Glad to see I'm not the oldest one to visit the Kruger! I am happy to help but it's such a massive subject, too involved to answer here. If you go to my channel (click on Old Codger ...) and then go to About you'll see at ther botton View email address. Email me directly and I'll be happy give you advice and answer any questions..
