1. Writing should be on cable (misconception - new ones don’t have)
2. Compare weight to original cable- lighter is fake (useless if u don’t have original)
3. Teeth aren’t clean (useless if you can’t compare to original)
4. Sound of click is better (useless advice again if you have no comparison)
5. USB C end has white plastic inside but fake is hollow inside (useless if you have standard usb A lightning cable)

I'm glad this youtuber and others create videos to help people, but most things said in this video are wrong. There is no way to tell from the sound if it's an original cable. Some fake cables have more of a click, some have less. The same applies to the thickness of the cable. A fake cable isn't necessarily flimsier and lighter. Some fakes are actually heavier and sturdier. Original Apple cables do have text and serial no printed on them, contrary to what he said in this video.
