Genesis 24
STANZA 1
The church-Christ's counterpart,
The full satisfaction of His heart;
She's the one desired and longed-for Bride
He has yearned to gain in God's great plan.
Once in eternity
God the Father chose us from the world (vv. 2-4)
To include us in the divine romance
Of a love between God and man.
STANZA 2
Then His Spirit in time (v. 10)
By arranging all our circumstance (vv. 15-16)
Comes and reaches us to voice His call, (v. 17)
Sweetly calling us out of the world.
He lays hold fast of me,
Wooing tenderly with charm divine; (v. 22)
Now that I am sealed, He has guaranteed- (vv. 22, 47)
All He is and has are now mine! (vv. 35-36, 53)
CHORUS 1
You have fully captivated me
For my heart You've won and claimed as Yours-
Whom not having seen yet most I love. (1 Pet. 1:8)
Jesus I adore;
I am henceforth His,
His alone and His evermore.
STANZA 3
Sometimes tough hindrance comes (v. 55)
And I hesitate in times of trials, (v. 57)
And the path ahead brings uncertainty
But the choice is clearly simple to me! (v. 58)
The price may overwhelm-
To let go of worldly dreams and ways;
But with brave resolve-never to turn back-
With firm absoluteness I say... (v. 58)

I will go to Him, my Isaac! (v. 58)
Irresistibly He draws me so
Unto His sweet arms and heart of love;
From the world to You, my dear Jesus Lord
At whatever cost I will go.

Difficult distances, desolate hours;
Lord, preserve me so as this path I go
Till Your presence truly I know.
