My Allergist told me that Ohio is number 1 for allergies HE said even if you never have had them before, I know about some holistic things,I Love how You prepare food for your Family and I enjoy watching You prepare meals and making things. Prayers for the neighbor situation Ephesians 6:12 ❤
Congrats on 10k! Been watching since you all started the channel, it's always great to see black, positive, and Godly families growing and prospering. Love from Kenya ❤🌍
Regarding the allergies. I would look into investing in a couple Airdoctors. They are air purifiers that are proven to catch all the allergies, mold, C, flu, etc🤧
Hello 💛 Praying for complete healing for you all in the powerful name of Jesus Christ!!! Wooohoo….Congratulations!! I’m excited for everything the Lord is doing in your families life. God Bless!!!
Neighbor, you are darn tootin we are rootin for you! I cannot wait for your gardening content. Last summer I helped my mom build concrete block bed that we reinforced with rebar and cement, which she now has plan to refinish the out with stucco or something to elevate the look, we are in zone 6 and let me tell you EVERYTHING is thriving!
This is my first time watching your videos and my goodness you seem so very down to earth. It’s so refreshing a lot of the other channels seem so scripted they don’t seem real. You have a lovely family. Your daughters are beautiful. God bless you all. I pray you’re all feeling better. I look forward to watching all of your videos.
Aww thank you so much! We try to be as honest and transparent as possible. We’re not looking to get famous or anything like that. Just documenting the life that God has blessed us with. Nothing more nothing less ❤️
What a blessing to hit 10 K subscribers, congratulations! You all have a wholesome and relatable vibe, and I love your videos and watching your journey here in Ohio. I'm from Ohio but have lived in warmer climates like Louisiana and Texas in the past. I find that every spring and fall, I experience allergies just like what you are describing. I never experienced it so intensely in the warmer climates. Praying that it's not black mold and only allergies. 💜🙏🏽😇
Congratulations on your 10K subscribers. I am rooting for you for you all. I pray whatever is causing the sickness that you all find the reason and be set free from all the suffering. Be blessed and can’t wait until next Friday. ❤
I’m sorry that the report downplayed mold. That’s serious, I would put a dehumidifier in the basement (if you haven’t already) that should be running all seasons except winter. Hope yall feel better!
Congratulations on 10k subies. Also, when you start your garden, be sure to pick a spot where it gets a lot of sun and if you're not sure where to put your garden, ask around, there have to be a lot of farmers that you could get advice from. We have a small garden and it's so prolific for us that I can tomatoes and pickle peppers every year. Good luck and keep the content coming.
Cute puppy & I hope you all feel better❤ btw love that you still show your kids feels like a legit family vlog. So relatable❤ please don’t follow every trend every influencer families. Stay you. That’s why I love this channel❤
Thank you so much! And they are a part of us. We had somebody comment some months back saying our kids were too loud in the background. I’m sorry but that’s our life, find a new channel 🤷🏿♂️
could be the duct work, since the house has been setting. we are in an older home, i now use filters from filter buy and it has helped with just the dust build up in the duct work. Dont go back to CA hopefully its a fixable problem
I think it’s probably a mix of things. Our ducts have been cleaned, sanitized and they don’t have mold. We did have mold in the basement so that’s going to get remediated
Yea I'm aware. Just not confident that's the issue. I feel more sick than I do allergy. Symptoms that I've been feeling that I didn't disclose. But we are trying to get to the bottom of it.
Heyy, new fellow citySis! 👋🏾 First of all, glad to see you all are so additionally *happy*! ☺️ I am sorry that you are somewhat suffering... As I am wishing/praying you all feel better and *are* better, I'm going to thank you in advance for your forbearance as I offer my little 2 mites: My hubs and I bought a mid-century house that neighbors say sat for 7-10 years...with the only occupants being animals, including a family of raccoons, etc. (S/N: It's neither here nor there now, but there was a swath(?) of new-builds for a time with mold issues too due to improperly installed vapor barriers... So be encouraged: mold is not necessarily ever a non-issue; it's not an exclusive risk with your older home choice -- cost-absorber-aside.) We got a mold remediation quote in 2019 that was somewhere around $4K at the time... I learned then that mold is deeply rooted, so our layperson applications may work to some extent but not so much on porous surfaces like wood...as the professionals may have to scrape / shave down those surfaces before they treat them with their professional applications. It helps if there is not active water intrusion. Also, I didn't know to get my ducts cleaned. Meanwhile: Once we had our baby my husband bought an air purifier for her room, but I wouldn't otherwise have known to get one. Also, it's my personal experience that [NetiPot] helps run any allergens, etc., out of my nostrils & sinuses. Allergen pillow covers help too. Hope at least 1 thing helps! (Don't mean to offend with the unsolicited.)
Don't get me wrong, I'm not insinuating that new builds are perfect. It's just a very different experience when you're dealing with a builder vs someone trying to sale a house for God knows what reason. There's so many uncertainties with a used home vs a home that you see being built from the ground up. And then again there are warranties with new builds vs a house sold as is. It's just different. And girl we have all the things, multiple air purifiers, dehumidifiers that we brought from California lol. One of the first things we did when we got our new ac was have our ducts cleaned. So we covered the basics. But we learned that we do have a mold issue.
Congratulations 🎉on 10k subscribers!! Love this for you guys! We just got a Maltipoo and our 2 y/o is struggling! What did you guys do to help babygirl not be so scared?!
we moved to the midwest almost 3 years ago from California and have been addressing mold for nearly three years. I see that the inspector found mold in your responses below. Praying it's easily found and remediated. If I can just offer a suggestion to look into since you are into holistic health. From a holistic standpoint it's not recommended to paint over with Kilz or the other mold killing paints/primers. We wire brush and sand to remove mold on structural wood and seal any remaining staining with a lime wash encapsulation paint. All other material that are contaminated with mold are thrown away (drywall, insulation). i'm sorry your family is going through this. It's extremely stressful.
Thank you for the suggestions. We just hired a company that will do a full mold remediation to the entire house. I'm looking forward to that and hoping that solves the issue. 🙏🏾
new sub here, its also good to look into radon test for the house, and find out how to address it, Ohio and northern states usually have a high amount of Radon (dangerous) in homes, you can google Radon map usa to find out how high the numbers are in your state, you know never know it could be a mix of allergies, mold, radon etc of probably just the temperature changing.
@@HourPointOfViewoh my gosh. The gardener in me can’t wait. I hope a kitchen garden and some garden rooms are in the plan (I’m living thru you until we find our own land one day). 😊
Aww I hate your family is experiencing this. To be honest I've been to functional medicine and they said I had issues with mold and I went crazy on our house trying to remediate it. I live in Cleveland and went to the Cleveland Clinic. I should add we live on 3 acres with a ton of wildlife nature and trees. While functional medicine did help in a ton of ways it didn't help much when it came to saying my symptoms were mold related and we wasted a lot of money trying to fix a problem that had already been fixed. You said the vents were clean and sanitized you're probably fine mold wise. Our home was built in 1940. I'd honestly suggest an allergist. Allergy season here in Ohio is BRUTAL and worse if you have acres like we have. I wasted all that time chasing the mold train and ended up with an amazing allergist (also through the clinic) who got me on an amazing regime. And I have indoor and outdoor allergies I often feel better when I go outside also. I have a powder inhaler I use daily during the spring and winter fall, I take flonase daily during allergy season (I start two weeks before allergy season starts to ramp up) and also I take zyrtec in the morning and claritin at night if I have an extremely bad day. And that all solved what I thought were mold issues due to what functional medicine told me. Uncontrolled allergies will make you feel HORRIBLE. I'd been back and forth to the ER etc. with all of my symptoms and come to find out it wasn't mold I just needed an allergist. So just my two cents from a fellow Ohioan that chased the mold trail like you're about to do. Plus you have alot of people in these comments telling you it's allergies for a reason :-) I'd suggest looking into it further before dismissing it cause allergies here truly are that bad lol. I tried going holistic on my allergies before resolving to good ol meds and it's what finally worked for my family. Good Luck with everything I love your videos.
Thank you so much for your advice. I’m curious what were your allergy symptoms? I’ve had so many symptoms that I didn’t discuss in the video that lead me to it being more mold allergy over outdoor allergy. I’m assuming you saw a comment where I said we had our vents cleaned. We had that done right when we moved into the house. That was before the symptoms just to clarify. Also we recently got our house tested for mold in the areas that were obvious and visible and it was positive for mold. There could be more unseen areas but without seeing it we just don’t know if there’s more or not. But I’m interested in what you’re saying and I would really want to know what your symptoms were
lol yeah the allergy meds can do that so my allergy symptoms were weird. I have a husband who is always hacking and throat clearing sneezing etc and so are my kids. I on the other hand am always gasping for air. They call it ‘air hunger’ so I would always feel like I wasn’t getting enough air in. And I’d always feel extremely tired as well. At that time I hadn’t gotten allergy tested so I went to functional medicine and I told them how I always felt short of breath and exhausted. I was dealing with brain fog. Tingling in my hands and feet (lol I’m going back in my chart to look at some of my symptoms I told them while I type this - I started my journey in 2018 so it’s been awhile😂). So they did a ton of bloodwork and my CRP was extremely high and what I didn’t know at the time that I know now is with functional medicine their first go to when all of this come back is mold and they’re not wrong per se but I’ve learned it’s literally the first thing they harp on lol I have other friends who’ve gone and they always come home being told to clean their house of mold and I went home and did all this research and we’d had moisture in the basement that we’d cleared up but girl I was convinced there was mold somewhere still so we had people come out it was an entire thing. Along with that functional had me change my diet (your family is waaaayyy ahead of where I was in my diet back then I’m there with y’all now but at the time I went to functional I ate like crap) but they fixed it they had me do food elimination to see what foods made me feel horrible and I felt somewhat better after eliminating gluten and dairy and I naturally dropped a ton of weight seems good right? I’m doing everything right but the other symptoms still remained even though my blood work showed the inflammation had gone down I kept feeling tired and short of breath and I would have a hard time sleeping and by this time there was nothing else we could do to our home to make it more mold free and functional kept harping on mold (mind you they’d given me a ton of different supplements to try and I found out I’m a person who can’t tolerate most supplements. I was going for the more expensive ones they suggested without added fillers and they all made me feel horrible, magnesium I tried calm, etc nope got sick. They had me try enzymes one time and I got sick I ended up in the ER again and there an ER doc was like are you sure you don’t have allergies and I’m like I’m sure I’d never been tested but I don’t do alot of sneezing and throat clearing like my family. But to rule it out I went and girl my arm lit up!!! Do you hear me. Every thing they tested me for I was allergic to - no foods just stuff in the environment all trees grasses molds ragweeds you name it. It was so bad my allergiet was like I’m shocked you can breathe I was like I CAN’t lol. So she immediately started me on an allergy regime that works for me. But before I went with her regime I went back to functional cause I still wanted to be holistic if I could to see what they could do to help me with my asthma they suggested something called quercitin. Now it didn’t work for me again cause it was a supplement and I don’t do well with those but for some it has worked and then they tried another natural med that again didn’t help. So I gave in and followed the regime set for my allergist and I got better. I can tell the days that I don’t follow it I’ll feel awful. I have to add that I had a doctor before previously check me for asthma I heard you mention you have that and I came back not having asthma but my allergist discovered I have seasonal asthma hence the inhaler I use. My husband uses Allegra he can’t use Zyrtec it makes him sleepy. I’ll add one thing I didn’t notice then that I see now looking back I’d always get really sick in March and August for years. And that lines up with allergy season. We did pull up all carpet in our home as well which really helped me. I’m sorry this was so long but I hope it helps. My husband and I are a little older been married 22 years homeschool as well - our kids are older. I’m so proud watching you, your hubby and your growing family - stay the course ❤️. God bless you and even if it’s not allergies I hope you can figure out what it is and get to the bottom of it
Thank you! Not offended. But I tend to do things that feel right to me being the creator. And you learn that as a creator you can't please everyone. But I've learned to not care so much what people think. So that's why I chose it.
@@HourPointOfView Good point of view. I meant to say it drowned out your voice. Could be because you are sick and your voice is softer. I wasn't trying to please me. Again, I hope you are feeling better.
Oh ok I assumed the typo meant to say that the music didn't go with my speaking. So my bad. I've had opinions like that thrown out to me before so I was more inclined to thinking that's what you meant. But yea my voice was a bit lower because babygirl was sleeping next door and I used a different mic than the one used in the beginning of the video. And thanks again, we are trying to heal up as best as we can. Just making sure we tackle our mold issue.
No we didn't get new carpet but we do have extremely old carpet upstairs that we plan to get rid of. I told Jeremi recently that I think that could be a problem too. Sometimes at night when I go upstairs into our bedroom my asthma flares up.
Congratulations on being initiated into Ohio and its allergy season. 🤦♀️lol I'm older and have lived in Ohio all my life. All mold is black , but it doesn't mean it's dangerous. Jeremy did the right thing by cleaning with vinegar( make sure it's household vinegar - not the cooking kind) & wear a mask or have proper ventilation. I think your allergies are two-fold: 1. You are not acclimated to Ohio air and/or pollen. Summer & early Fall are the worst! You are definitely going to need something for allergies . Or it's just a mild cold, considering it's affected everyone in the house. Add some elderberry syrup to your vitamin/supplement regime. It's very common to use it in Ohio during Fall & Winter. 2. You commented that symptoms are not as bad outdoors vs. indoors. That leads me to think it could be your central air unit. Did you have it cleaned? Have you changed the filter(s)? Go with a filter that's suitable for micro allergens & pets.❤ we change ours every 3 months. You may also notice stuffiness gets worse as we progress into September because farmers are making the last cutting in fields. You may be 15 miles from a farm, but that stuff carries in the wind. Make sure everyone is washing hands, wiping off door handles, phones & tablets. Littles are always little germ magnets.😊 Love the new fur baby. ❤ Safe travels to Cali.
Turns out we have mold. I believe I ended up getting bronchitis because of it. I've considered all that you said but I'm truly sticking to my belief that outdoor allergens isn't my issue. Never has been and traveled to many places. So I'm betting this mold is my issue. Also there are definitely different types of mold other than black that are harmful. Trust me I've been doing a lot of research lol.
Allergies!!! Everything is starting to die because of the fall coming and then you all are in a new climate that your bodies must get used to is what it sounds like. I’m dealing with it too with my new climate, unless it’s the mold😳😬😦😔😕🙁☹😟
Here in central Ohio, fall brings out zillions of Asian Ladybugs as well as the bigger “Stink bugs” 🤮 We had neither here 25 years ago but now … egads … they are like an invasion. Just sayin’ - be prepared for more insects indoors. And both have a disgusting stench when smushed. They even let off stink when they feel threatened. 🤮
Trust me we addressed the issue. Ain't no bugs coming in here lol. Not unless we left a door open and something crawls or flys in. Exterior of our house is practically brand new. We started seeing the Asian lady bugs outside again the other day. I have ptsd from those things lol.

God bless you and even if it’s not allergies I hope you can figure out what it is and get to the bottom of it
I pray you and the family feel better soon. 🙏 The background music doesn't really with your speaking. Sorry, I hope I didn't offend you. ❤
@@HourPointOfView Keeping you in prayer.
Did you get new carpet. Everytime we moved it had new carpet, I would get sick.
🤦♀️lol
I'm older and have lived in Ohio all my life.
Littles are always little germ magnets.😊
Love the new fur baby. ❤
Safe travels to Cali.
Trust me I've been doing a lot of research lol.
i love your husband :)
😂😂
Allergies!!! Everything is starting to die because of the fall coming and then you all are in a new climate that your bodies must get used to is what it sounds like. I’m dealing with it too with my new climate, unless it’s the mold😳😬😦😔😕🙁☹😟
Thank you ! We do have mold too so we’re nipping that in the bud
