I have been Almaty during 2007 and 2008 , two years. There were no metro back then but i like the city very much . The roads are covered with branches of trees along with both sides of the roads and water runs in the little channels from mountains to down till the middle of the summer. Davud you should see the metro station of the Moscow city center, everone is a museum.

Doesn't operate in a modern manner for a 21st century metro network, but it's great that the Almaty citizens have access to a metro system nonetheless! Looks very clean, too. I especially like the graphic design for that network map on the pillar inside the station; looks clean and is easy to understand.

In the mustang video you said that you want to show village life and how people lived in the villages, their daily lives what they ate etc. You said that you did not want to show modern shopping malls and similar vestiges of wester affluence. But this entire series in KZ has been nothing but display of normal modernity. Why is that?

Interesting video and nice Metro. There doesn't appear to be disabled access to the Metro though which should be part of a modern system. Not everyone can manage stairs/escalators.

Да, "современное метро", если не учесть рамок металлодетекторов и сканера вещей на входе. Почему таковых нет ни в одном европейском метро котором я был? А безопасно ли их излучение? Почему я должен унижаться перед какими-то наглыми дядями в форме?
Ну и размер алматинского метрополитена - курам насмех.
Факт того, что до недавнего времени поезд можно было ждать и 30 минут - тоже.
Сейчас лучше - 8, но до пражского метро с интервалами поездов в 3 минуты и тремя длинными ветками метро, без всякой лабуды на входе ещё очкнь далеко, учитывая что у нас население с пригородами в 2.5 раза больше чем в Праге, так и подавно.
А то, что так много восторженных комментариев - даже удивительно.
Город превратили в помойку, ну, может малазийцы, в стране которых дома из мусора обычное явление имеют повод восхищаться.
Но в остальном...
Кто слаще хрена ничего не видел не зная вкуса апельсина, яблока так и будет нахваливать хрен.
Для тебя унижение пройти через рамки металл детектора и поставить сумки для рентгена? Сочувствую что для тебя безопасность это унижение. А по поводу интервалов в час пик 3-5 минут а не 8

I dont know if you are aware that Uzbekistan was part of intial spread of Buddhism around 5th century BCE.
