@Sheila Walker Sheila - You could be right BUT the break/burn appears to have occurred at the point of maximum accumulation of dirt/dust. Also the lines of EMF would more parallel the windings at the end of the coils where their strength would be the greatest due to the distance between the end bends. The long unsupported runs of coil windings between ends are least supported and are subjected to the maximum forces of EMF and any potential vibration that would cause failure. These long runs of the coil windings seem to have survived. The failure probably resulted from a little of both maybe. I am not an engineer of any sort. I would never have considered the effects of an EMF driven vibration as a possible cause of winding failure. I sometimes learn as much from the comments as I do watching the videos themselves!

It is very important to balance the rotor, I have not seen in your work any rotor balancing which is very important to finish the job, you need to balance the rotor at the rotor speed too, otherwise after few months the job will return back for same types of faults. Do you guarantee the job after repair work?
