His playing brings tears to my eyes, incredible, simply amazing and as far as i am concerned NO other keyboard player comes even close to his phrasing ,melodic and emotional content with outstanding technique.

It's as simple as this. Most big power metal bands have covered black diamond, galneryus and sonata for example. And every keyboardist that knows of jen's work will take most of their inspirations from him. This is the most stunning performance I have ever seen from any instrument. Truely genius

@KizmiMcalien Agreed,he plays it differently every time, awesome improvisation within the air melody

I'm with Sunedosa meaning it's only an opinion, so don't shoot me for it ;-) To my ears Jens is the ultimate master of keys. I am a keyboardplayer (well some sort of, haha). I grew up listening to a whole bunch of keyboard players. From David Paich to Jon Lord, from Don Airey to Kevin Moore, Derek Sherinian and Jordan Rudess and lots more. All VERY skilled/talented players. It's not about who is the fastest, but the most emotive. Jens plays incredibly fast, yet every note counts. Never boring!

@Sunedosa I imagine you have already heard of Jordan Rudess, Vitalyj Kuprij, and Kevin Moore. Maybe he is the one you like the most, but that doesn't make him the best. P.S. There's no need to insult.

Wow, wtf. That's like saying every guitarist does the same thing. Jens Johansson is very scalodic and shreds from that, Henrik tends to be slower and do alot of cascading (hes sloppy live). Vadim plays mostly alot of fast arpeggios and pentatonics and Jordan Rudess is TOTALLY different from all of them (Imo prog keyboardist have a totally different style then Power Metal Keys) and he just plays everything perfectly cause hes amazing xD. Go analyse them again before you make stupid statements.

@Sunedosa Jens is obviously a great player, but to say that no other player bla bla bla is pure nonsense.

@Sunedosa So you don't care but you feel insulted and made another response. If you can't see the contradiction in that, I'm sorry for you. I'm tired of this, got boring quickly and was a pointless exchange of whatever you want to call it. Bye.

he is fucking awesome...but there are too many keyboarders that do like it...henrik klingenberg from sonata and vadim from dragonforce, our skin head boy from dream theater, we can't say that just one is the best
