Then our damage left. Like dude, y’all can be bad at the game idc it’s just a video game. But why are you leaving? If we’re gonna lose let’s lose but still try. At least towards the end it worked out. Me and the other support just decided to chill with the enemy team bcuz we obviously were not gonna take the point with only two supports. It was pretty funny.

Except the matchmaking in both modes is so terrible you can't determine skill progress because there aren't any close games. At least I haven't experienced a close game in a few weeks now.
I actually had the best match making in arcade last night and today. Like, seriously close but fantastic games where everyone played well on both sides. IN ARCADE. I don't understand anymore.
Been a QP andy for years just bc I have a rotating friend group of different skill tiers and all kinda like to go hard a bit for an hour or 2 every night, and for this reason, OW is super fun
if im trying to get familiar with the mechanics of a hero ill practice with them in quickplay for a bunch of hours before i use them in comp. no shit im gonna suck at first...and its absolutely mindboggling how toxic people get over a qp game...acting like theyll die if they lose
The only difference I notice is like 10 more seconds for quickplay when going tank. Because a lot of casual players do tank but it’s been evening out a lot more.
Had a horrible session yesterday. One match, As Kiriko, 22K heals and 2K dmg. The team was taking so much damage I could not exchange some of that heal for damage. As soon as found myself doing damage the whole team just died. In comparison our Ana had 5K heals and around 3K damage iirc. Our tank just casually said after the first fight "tank going afk" and was kicked out of the game after being afk until getting kicked. Needless to say the enemy team rooolled our defense. But nooo, just before we all could leave, HE CAME BACK, at the turn of the tide. just in time to see us lose the third point and the round. Anyways, the attack we did pretty good but not good enough. I had to mostly heal but got in a few kills here and there. Some amazing cleanses while Ana, now mercy, tried to ress our tank taking fire from all 5 of enemy team, not playing corners and yelling like loltyler for heals. The true OW experience
For him there is no difference. I have a quick play win rate of around 66%. My winrate in comp is around 33%. I literally do nothing differently and have two different results.
Have you played at LEAST like 30-40 games of each queue? They're both SBMM systems, so they should both be tuned to your level. I'd expect it to be pretty locked in after around 100 games (of each queue) for sure.
@@DeathBean89 SBMM in overwatch makes no sense though. Only about 40% of my comp games are evenly matched and the rest are either disturbingly easy or virtually impossible. It's even more mismatched in qp and arcade as well
@@DeathBean89 By now I have been 124 hrs into quick play and 20 hrs into ranked (I'm still unranked as tank 'cause of ... reasons). I was climbing from bronze to silver when I lost interest in ranked. The "rank decay" at the beginning of season 2 did actually pushed my ranks up (for example: I left season 1 (as support) as bronze 1 and started season 2 as silver 4. I did not play a single match as support in season 2 so far). The tendency seems to go up, but if I'm really better than just bronze I will probably never know, 'cause approximately 3 out of 4 matches feel like be thrown into hell with masterfully skilled and absolutely pissed demons. "gg" is kinda become an offensive term in comp for me. I really don't know why a "game", in which you get constantly fucked, gets defined as "good". Sorry, but that's just my experience. It's becoming a phrase without meaning for me.
@@disgustedguy gg is just the respectful thing to say after a game win or lose, same with sports. If someone’s trying to be toxic they’ll say (role) dif or ez ect, also yeah you’d definitely need to play more comp for it even out
You are finally realizing that custom game is the best game mode, and it's scary because toxic people are starting to figure that out as well, Blizzard needs to fix these modes so custom game can resume absolute harmony. And bring back workshop.
I played casual today, and the other team was Roadhog, Sojourn, Junkrat, Mercy, and Baptise. It's like no one wants to have fun with other characters anymore
There really isn't. I wanna practice my Ana in QP since she's nowhere near as good as my kiriko is and I wanna fix that. But God it sucks to get rolled even in QP

True, as an OW1 GM with 14 gold guns and 9000 comp credits left over, no reason for me to grind comp when i can quick play with my console friends. Haven't touched comp since end of season 1 and won't until changes are made.
What frustrates me is players get bailed by cheesy abilities. Example you see a roadhog with a mercy pocket and kiriko 😂 Stopped playing I’m tired of one shots and hooks
I feel like if flats vod reviewed his own videos with his positioning at times he’d make fun of his own play style as if it was a bronze player. The beginning place I’ve seen him make fun of bronze players for being exactly where he is.
Yup and that's true for everybody, we can all point out different things that could be better here and there even on ourselves and even on players better than us. Some plat and diamond players could honestly do good vod reviews of GM gameplay, that's just the nature of being a viewer and not currently being the one playing
@@onelongwordable I just get annoyed of the HARSHNESS of calling someone bronze because of one single play within 5 seconds of a vod. It’s just sucha OW mentality, losing the first team fight and people are mega judgy to the point of giving up. It just further encourages that bad mentality
There really is not difference tbh. In comp its either my team rolls or gets rolled, never an actual equal fight. There’s definitely something wrong with the comp matchmaking that makes it feel the same as QP with little to no SBMM
I remembered when I encountered junkrat's riptire by using bastion's artillery in QP, and I just main bastion just like 2 days ago. Idk how junkrat main gonna reacted this
i know he streams and plays games all the time but to be casually playing with jordan fisher is my dream. i was so shocked to see his name pop up from the sym portals lol
I guess if you play quickplay, you get hidden MMR. And if you play competitive, you get a visible rank update after 7 wins based on your MMR. Of course the only mode worth playing in this game is mystery heroes where you get to play multiple roles. When they add competitive mystery mode, is when I reach masters.
The main difference is, people tend to cry more when someone sweats - even if just a tiny bit lol. That, and leaving after the first lost team fight. Classic QP traits
The problem of game sweats is because of the One shot heroes, like I said in many videos before, Let Oneshot exist but it is a Risk/Reward thing, basically, make one Shot exclusive to Close Range DPS, Mid range and Long range are not allowed to one shot. The only Close range DPS I can think of is Reaper since he has the lowest range capacity for a decent damage Potential, which is wrong, that low range should make him Pull a Risk/Reward game by One tapping someone at a range of like 8 Meters, any further will no longer require one bullet to kill, but can still two tap a 200-250 HP DPS, but of course, there will be an insane damage falloff due to shotgun pellet spread so long Ranged heroes will still have the advantage so long they shoot him outside his effective range WITHOUT oneshotting him as to make it fair and square. Having Long range one shots are quite literally uncounterable unless you're mechanically better in a Mirror 1v1 which is literally worse than Sombra and Hog countering Fun.
video: There is no difference between Quickplay and Competitive in Overwatch 2. More Flats: does absolutely nothing to make his point. wow gg nice point there?
For me there is a big difference of elo, in casual most of the time it feels like my team knows how to play or at least tries, in ranked currently a new player in gold is just pain, I'm not talking about small mistakes, people literally don't know what their job is, don't touch point, don't wait to regroup, don't look around them at all, fail to finish any kill, feels like they installed the game yesterday and shoot the tank all day staying low ground and if the enemy team goes like a phara or junkrat well is gg cuz they don't know how to shoot a flying hero or dodge the spam, or a hero that has deployables, they literally stay like a shooting range target, don't go other sides and ask for healing 24/7 spam need healing 0.5s later even if the support is dead, making a healing simulator for the support, just horrible.
Is there a benefit to leaving the knife in besides possibly waiting for an optimal moment to pull the other player? Not like you can wait long for that, anyway.
they really need to improve matchmaking for comp. games often feel like a coin toss. either you're steamrolling or getting steamrolled and rarely does it feel like an even and rewarding fight. once had a comp game where my whole team was new players (except me) and the enemy team weren't new at all. both dps on my team were bronze (and i was gold 3), the other profiles were private so idk. needless to say we got completely steamrolled. i don't see how such matchmaking is acceptable??
ive basicly quit this game cus i got rusty af and when ever I try to play the fucking game I get shit on I think they should remove or expand the spread of qp to make it so that better players will queue with worse players making the game less competitive forcing them to yk play competative
Don't know why QP is being treated like comp where you need to track, cooldown ults and counter pick. I like to mess around in qp but when the condition does not met I have to play serious.
I went from struggling in comp trying to hit masters on all 3 roles (I got support and tank and my dps is 3499 and now I’m in ow 2 so it’s diamond 1) to playing in top 500 lobbies in quickplay. Everyone is top 500 and I couldn’t be happier! It’s literally the best time I’ve ever had in ow. Hope to see more streamers in QP.
junker queen still needs a lil more shes so damn squishy and her ult is almost useless with reaper kiriko being rly strong picks into her strong i do like her Hog type play style tho aggressive and can do rly good damage just not busted 1 shot
I only really play quick play because I don't want to dive in to the ces pit that is comp overwatch, I was playing a match with friends and we had the most toxic guy on our team and I was just saying stuff like "okay buddy just go back to comp :)" and really just taunting him
The only difference is you get to play both sides of the map. And I guess if you're at least plat in ranked, people will actually use their mic and try to coordinate every other game or so. In quickplay, 5 people will be in voice but not a single person will say a word.
4 more things the devs should have done with JQ. 1. Increase the hit box of blade when recall 2. Shout can be used simultaneously with knife, axe and ult (like orisa gold) 3. Increase the range of axe 4. Shout cooldown immediately starts right after the ability is activated and not after it ends. Increase the cooldown by 1 or 2 and remove the health gain for teammates. She would still be fine with these buffs because there are many ways to counter JQ like CC, long range poke and mobility Also JQ is still bad even with the axe buff. You will only hit 1 person 90% of the match with the axe and the argument about the axe being strong is the same as saying widow and hanzo are S tier and all you need to hit the head consistently which in reality won't happen and is redundant. JQ has gotten better but she still isn't strong. She is more balance right now and not bad anymore
Removing the health and speed to teammates with shout, even if the cooldown was shorter would be a major nerf, and yeah she’s balanced, doesn’t really need these buffs especially if Roadhog is being reworked and then orisa gets nerfed, junkerqueen will be just fine

@@SubmittedAndReadable there was a section where it is like custom. you can pick what group you want to join and then when it was full you'd queue up. you could have a dude weed 420 group. gold or plat only group. arcade only group. lgbt queer group. all sorts of stuff like that and you could make friends. they also had the cards to vote on which was unique bc some cards you'd rarely see. blizzard trashed and gutted this game and it's a shame. i will never in my life give blizzard another dollar.
Only difference is dealing with leavers in QP… oh wait… you have to do that in Comp too…
There is a difference. QP feels like friendly competitive mode most of the time, while comp is just a shitshow of bad matchmaking and tilted people
QP is like ai bots.
Comp is also like ai bots but the easy bots are on your team.
The difference (at least in CP) is that there's numbers for the team's score in ranked and in quick play they have red and blue dots.
?
i've played 1k hours and don't know
I have actually had more comp like games in QP than I have in comp
The difference is that in quick play I don't feel like the score system is holding a gun to my head.
The difference is that people in quick play wait until the end of the game to spam racial slurs
Competitive overwatch? You mean quick play but I'm judged arbitrarily?
I feel like QP should be used as a way to learn characters and CP should be used to show off what you've learned.
Been a QP andy for years just bc I have a rotating friend group of different skill tiers and all kinda like to go hard a bit for an hour or 2 every night, and for this reason, OW is super fun
correction: people aren’t the worst human behind youve ever met in quick play
Seagull’s echo goes hard tbh
if im trying to get familiar with the mechanics of a hero ill practice with them in quickplay for a bunch of hours before i use them in comp. no shit im gonna suck at first...and its absolutely mindboggling how toxic people get over a qp game...acting like theyll die if they lose
The true OW experience
atleast they didn't say "support diff" at the end
For him there is no difference. I have a quick play win rate of around 66%. My winrate in comp is around 33%. I literally do nothing differently and have two different results.
Have you played at LEAST like 30-40 games of each queue? They're both SBMM systems, so they should both be tuned to your level. I'd expect it to be pretty locked in after around 100 games (of each queue) for sure.
@@DeathBean89 SBMM in overwatch makes no sense though. Only about 40% of my comp games are evenly matched and the rest are either disturbingly easy or virtually impossible. It's even more mismatched in qp and arcade as well
@@stephenjennings555it exists it just sucks
If someone’s trying to be toxic they’ll say (role) dif or ez ect, also yeah you’d definitely need to play more comp for it even out
QP+open queue+every hero listed in a wheel spinner>>>>>>>>>>
You are finally realizing that custom game is the best game mode, and it's scary because toxic people are starting to figure that out as well, Blizzard needs to fix these modes so custom game can resume absolute harmony.
And bring back workshop.
I played casual today, and the other team was Roadhog, Sojourn, Junkrat, Mercy, and Baptise. It's like no one wants to have fun with other characters anymore
Your fun is not other's fun.
Maybe they just find those heroes fun?
I like playing Baptiste, he's one of my support mains because not every team can play with a Mercy
There really isn't. I wanna practice my Ana in QP since she's nowhere near as good as my kiriko is and I wanna fix that. But God it sucks to get rolled even in QP
I got blamed Yesterday beacause as ana i had likes 1k damage but 8k healing, let alone the fact that my dps spammed Need helaing like all the game even almost full health, the tank bkamed me for that when he Always capture the point then camp the enemy base untill the enemies Just take the second way and conquer the point
You shouldn't rely on the dmg and healing numbers, but the tank camping the enemy spawn is the most silver thing ever
True, as an OW1 GM with 14 gold guns and 9000 comp credits left over, no reason for me to grind comp when i can quick play with my console friends. Haven't touched comp since end of season 1 and won't until changes are made.
What frustrates me is players get bailed by cheesy abilities. Example you see a roadhog with a mercy pocket and kiriko 😂 Stopped playing I’m tired of one shots and hooks
wanted playing support is unheard of
lucio is fun
@@sushi6865 yeah that’s tru i agree
I feel like if flats vod reviewed his own videos with his positioning at times he’d make fun of his own play style as if it was a bronze player. The beginning place I’ve seen him make fun of bronze players for being exactly where he is.
Yea but this is quick play not comp. It's a different mindset
Yup and that's true for everybody, we can all point out different things that could be better here and there even on ourselves and even on players better than us.
Some plat and diamond players could honestly do good vod reviews of GM gameplay, that's just the nature of being a viewer and not currently being the one playing
@@AngrySecs did you not read the title of the vid?
@@onelongwordable I just get annoyed of the HARSHNESS of calling someone bronze because of one single play within 5 seconds of a vod. It’s just sucha OW mentality, losing the first team fight and people are mega judgy to the point of giving up. It just further encourages that bad mentality
@@ZarelidT except in the bronze roasts people submit it to him, he does not go out of his way doing that
The only difference is that you dint swap sides which I find annoying. 90% of the I'm getting put in defence and I prefer attack
Biggest difference is that in QP people respect the don’t pick hog rule lol
ummm literally every qp i’ve played ppl picked hog 😭
In QP Tanks pick normal character lose 1 fight then go hog
There really is not difference tbh. In comp its either my team rolls or gets rolled, never an actual equal fight. There’s definitely something wrong with the comp matchmaking that makes it feel the same as QP with little to no SBMM
I remembered when I encountered junkrat's riptire by using bastion's artillery in QP, and I just main bastion just like 2 days ago. Idk how junkrat main gonna reacted this
i know he streams and plays games all the time but to be casually playing with jordan fisher is my dream. i was so shocked to see his name pop up from the sym portals lol
Wait, Flats’ name is Jeff? I never woulda guessed that. Seems more like a John 😅
iirc, both flats and emongg are named jeff 😅
I guess if you play quickplay, you get hidden MMR. And if you play competitive, you get a visible rank update after 7 wins based on your MMR.
Of course the only mode worth playing in this game is mystery heroes where you get to play multiple roles. When they add competitive mystery mode, is when I reach masters.
The main difference is, people tend to cry more when someone sweats - even if just a tiny bit lol. That, and leaving after the first lost team fight. Classic QP traits
That prediction knife on soldier was cool, but then continue to miss 5 consecutive knives. Lol ❤😂
For me there is a big difference of elo, in casual most of the time it feels like my team knows how to play or at least tries, in ranked currently a new player in gold is just pain, I'm not talking about small mistakes, people literally don't know what their job is, don't touch point, don't wait to regroup, don't look around them at all, fail to finish any kill, feels like they installed the game yesterday and shoot the tank all day staying low ground and if the enemy team goes like a phara or junkrat well is gg cuz they don't know how to shoot a flying hero or dodge the spam, or a hero that has deployables, they literally stay like a shooting range target, don't go other sides and ask for healing 24/7 spam need healing 0.5s later even if the support is dead, making a healing simulator for the support, just horrible.
it bothers me that flats takes the knife away IMMEDIATELY when he throws it lol
Opposed to it just coming back by itself?
Around the same time flats and co changed to QP, me and my QP friends changed to comp. What a world we live in
Damn I’ve only watched flats talking he’s fkn cracked!
2:21 Flats awakens the ultra instinct?
It annoyed the shit out of me just watching how that soldier on the enemy team kept zig zagging when he tried to run away lol
Don't know why QP is being treated like comp where you need to track, cooldown ults and counter pick. I like to mess around in qp but when the condition does not met I have to play serious.
Sweat for the lemonade, sweat for the tea, and if you sweat in my quickplay game, then you're sweating for me!
Difference is if your solo queued in comp you won’t join a game late like in qp and… yup that’s about it
I went from struggling in comp trying to hit masters on all 3 roles (I got support and tank and my dps is 3499 and now I’m in ow 2 so it’s diamond 1) to playing in top 500 lobbies in quickplay. Everyone is top 500 and I couldn’t be happier! It’s literally the best time I’ve ever had in ow. Hope to see more streamers in QP.
Being a support in overwatch in como is the equivalent of being goaler in hockey
winton
Corporate sees no difference between ranked and quick play
junker queen still needs a lil more shes so damn squishy and her ult is almost useless with reaper kiriko being rly strong picks into her strong i do like her Hog type play style tho aggressive and can do rly good damage just not busted 1 shot
I only really play quick play because I don't want to dive in to the ces pit that is comp overwatch, I was playing a match with friends and we had the most toxic guy on our team and I was just saying stuff like "okay buddy just go back to comp :)" and really just taunting him
It really doesn't feel like there it is doesn't It
Someone on my team quit immediately when one of my teammates picked widow on quickplay LOL
The only difference is you get to play both sides of the map. And I guess if you're at least plat in ranked, people will actually use their mic and try to coordinate every other game or so. In quickplay, 5 people will be in voice but not a single person will say a word.
4 more things the devs should have done with JQ.
1. Increase the hit box of blade when recall
2. Shout can be used simultaneously with knife, axe and ult (like orisa gold)
3. Increase the range of axe
4. Shout cooldown immediately starts right after the ability is activated and not after it ends. Increase the cooldown by 1 or 2 and remove the health gain for teammates.
She would still be fine with these buffs because there are many ways to counter JQ like CC, long range poke and mobility
Also JQ is still bad even with the axe buff.
One Reckoning was Reckoningier than the other there for sure. Reckoning diff.
Yo flats emongg AND wanted! Too good to be true
As someone who's in silver in all ranks. There is a difference. At least at my level. People in qp are practicing and comp has people playing there best heros
There is actually A HUGEEEEEEE Difference! On QP if people leave, new players would join. On ranked your F*cked!
Had one leave the enemy team, then requeue and he got into the same game he left on comp hahshsdgfdgfgfg
Wish their was the competitive ranked style in quick play.
Comp rn is all Hog, Orisa, Kiriko, and Sojourn. And yet somehow QP is starting to feel more like comp because everyone is leaving comp for QP.
There is a difference, when we have a leaver in comp it tells us and in quickplay it doesn't
I actually think qp is pretty easy sometimes. i don't personally sweat much unless i play a hero i want to learn.
Sometimes I wish Junkerqueen was released in OW1 because I think she would be far more viable there
i felt this way ever since i started playing overwatch (i started December 2022 lol)
At this very moment i left my comp game cause I thought it was quick play💀
I have never seen flats so serious lol
quick play is where my support ignores the half health rein. runs ahead of him. spams a few shots and dies with 800 healing for the whole game
