+biermacht1664 yes it is definitely. I grow up listening to them and type o negative way back when I was in my teen years and still listen to both til now never gets old both bands. seen them at CBGES in new York city with alot of other punk bands. I enjoyed my teen years alot with all the punk bands in style back in the days. just awesome.
Hell yeah Type O Negative & Ministry i got into in Highschool. I seem to think Dark Side of the Spoon & Filth Pig are some of Ministry's best work. They are such gloomy and slow, dark and haunting albums. But this album i just put on thru my 420 watts of speakers & it has blown me away. Just copped this on amazon with Relapse
No W is what got me into this band, Waiting is one of ministry most heaviest and underrated songs ever, wrong bass intro never gets old, Wtv Make it Stopppppp!!, World is just damn good classic tune there heard it on siriusxm Octane
Fun fact: the Walrus has the lyrics "Paul is no longer with us" played backwards on repeat. It's Uncle Al's way of celebrating Paul Barker's departure from the band.
Paul Barker was a great talent but he did some bad shit to Uncle Al, man...he's like a pariah or parasite the way he tries to hog the spotlight when Fix The Ministry Movie came out...Uncle Al had better things to do so he stayed out of that premiere & hoopla while Barker hogged all the attention. Well, now Paul must reap what he sowed...I'm sure he's royally pissed about Ministry being so damn successful without him...however, lest we forget, Ministry has always been Al Jourgensen's band so in all candor & sincerity: Paul Barker can seriously GO FUCK HIMSELF
KrisFrosz133 it's a reference to the fact that Paul McCartney was referred to as the walrus, and that he died by decapitation in a car accident in the 1960s, and the Beatles repeatedly referred to this incident in reverse and other methods
great thing about Ministry is they never wrote a bad song...every album is unique & totally awesum...especially the nuwave stuff which gets ragged on a lot...luv me some With Sympathy & Twitch & 12" WaxTrax! Singles & then I jump to this album & Rio Grande Blood, Relapse...Filth Pig, Animositisomina, Last Sucker, etc...and I get my Industrial Metal Core FIX...Ministry rules the universe, fiends & foes!!!!
I've been listening to Ministry for over a decade, but I ended up at this particular album all because of VTMB, and I gotta say this shit is better than anything I've ever heard from them especially in 2022.
The first four songs are as metal and heavy as any thrash band ever but I must confess Fool Me Once Shame on You Fool me Twice Shame on me / 1000 points of light
I've never heard Bloodlines before. It wasn't on the original CD or at least not on the Canadian release. The original CD had a couple minutes gap. It had 69 tracks. 11-68 were blank with 69 being a reprise of No W. It's excellent. Definitely influenced by Bauhaus. Al went back to basics on this album. He went back to his Goth and New Wave roots. With the addition of Bloodlines plus the other tracks, this is my all time favorite Ministry album. Thanks for posing this! You made my night!
IM A REAL SUCKER FOR THIS STUFF,MAN JUST THE WORK LOAD SPEAKS FOR ITS SELF.ALL THESE YEARS TURNING THIS OUT,KEEP IT COMING,PLEASE DONT STOP MINISTRY? I KNOW AL IS DOING HIS SURGICAL,METH,MACHINE.BUT WE NEED MINISTRY.SO GUYS KEEP IT COMING ALWAYS.YOURS SLUGS N HISSES,M.ALIEN.T.EELS.ALL FUCKING HELL UNLEASHED.T.M.COPYRIGHT.
+Alessa F Have u heard of Dogma: Eternal Night??? Not sure if ur into MMOs (I'm not myself but i can make an exception for Dogma), but i'm sure u'll love the polotical intrigue of Dogma if u liked VTMB! :-D They've got a kickstarter and surprisingly Mark Rein-Hagen (Guy who invented VTM and White Wolf) isn't sueing, but actually backing their project!
NerdyTurd307 Yup, of course I've heard! Those guys are from Russia, and I've even talked to them myself! :3 I'm also not into MMOs but can't wait to play too! :) But thank you for this message, you know, VTMB fans are like big bloody family, so we should help each other and cling together xD
+Alessa F Sweet! can faction u gonna play if it gets made? i'm thinking the domini aritrocracy (Toreador-ish guys) and the cruor corp (Some sort of hybrid between ventrue & tremere).
+Alessa F soz for the late reply. yeah the tremere are super OP in VTMB. if u havn't already u should check out this speedrun of VTMB /watch?v=WtsEzsVtY6k there's a glitch lurk uses where he skips like a 3rd of the game, no joke. anyway i noticed that u live in russia (soz if i'm wrong), just curious wut's the nerd scene like over there? I'm from Australia and our nerd scene is about as big as u would expect a 24 million populated Americanized country to be. btw feel free to add me on steam :-D Account name: stoned5yearold Username: MrTurd444
My gob is hanging open, my ears are bleeding! Fuck yeah !This stomps on all that is shite! never thought they could top psalm 69 but...this might do it.
I think the uploaded is from the UK the only thing is he forgot to add the disclaimer “Mind the Gap” from 42:00 until 46:00 or something like that. 😬😄👍🏻🤘🏻 else what a rocking album
At the Trocadero with My Life With The Thrill Kill Cult as a supporting act? When they opened with the first seven tracks from this album? Me and my friends were right up against the barricade and needless to say my ears rang for three days! Easily one of the best shows I’ve ever been to!
Slayer rules but they can sound monotonous in that way a band does when everything is just the same shit rehashed over & over again...whereas Ministry is like this avante garde alt-metal band that flirts with numerous genres ranging from Goth, Industrial, Shoegaze, Electro, Synth Pop/Nuwave, Grunge/NOwave, Hardcore Punk, Extreme Metal (Black/Deth/Thrash/Speed) & even Psychedelic/New Age/Hip Hop/Motown variety of elixirs...Ministry, hands down, is far superior in versatility...their talent & knack to explore far exceeds anything that Slayer had accomplished. Maybe that's why Kerry King is such a douche toward the Ministry Camp cuz he knows besides being super heavy, Slayer doesn't really offer much else...MINISTRY KICKS THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF SLAYER...PERIOD SO EAT THAT & DEAL WITH IT, YA SLAYER MAGGOTS
This is a piss poor rehash of Psalm 69. The riffs are so repetitive and derivative. Even Filth Pig is better than this. As to all the flack Paul Barker gets quite clearly his talents are missed.
Ministry = best driving music, hands down. You will not fall asleep at the wheel pumping this through your speakers.
+calaverasgrande You will, however, risk getting a speeding ticket ;)
calaverasgrande Revolting Cocks, too...Gila Copter!
I actually find this quite relaxing and conducive to nap-time. If I need to stay awake, Enya, keeps me annoyed enough to do that.
Jesus built my hotrod is the best for speeding in my opinion, new world order is the best for outrunning cops
@@greenpeasalt4401 😄
I never get tired of this album. It is just soooooo good. Al proved with this work that he could make great music without Paul Barker.
He still had the dude from rigor mortis Mike scaccia so he wasn't without
@@jeffsearles2428 I never get tired of this album.

heavily underrated imo

The bass intro to 'Wrong' - I'll always love it

I bought 100 cds to pass out to my congregation at the behest of Pastor Baker...nice fella!

R.I.P. Mike Scaccia, one of the best guitarist that never got the credit he deserved.

Yes, and one that doesn't is called "No W".^^
