@@alceja3522 those were awesome finds!! What cards were they?? It helps getting to shows early to try and get the good stuff before it’s all picked through 😂
@ shattered Glass birds promo, Wartortle and Squirtle from 151. I messed up I should have bought that Gardevoir from PF months ago, it’s shot up! IMO that’s the nicest Gardevoir card.
I think its allways very hard to judge, but i rather take no white on back than the smallest micro dot even tho it can be fine to have the smallest dot that you dont see when you dont hold your hand or something dark against it. Some of those cards did look really good, but you must have seen something. In the end its your Money, so dont worry about what or how much you buy. Just chill and find the REALLY good cards. If you can find cheap cards i would also allways look out for those to just resell at the next vendor for NM price - percentage from the vendor. Or even better if you can sell/trade it your own.
@@tubecat616 thank you so much for watching! I’m glad my video popped up for you 😝 I totally agree, sometimes the camera doesn’t pick up the little white dots and stuff on the corners which is mainly why I end up putting them back. Also because I don’t have unlimited money so I do gotta pick and choose but if the card is perfect I’d for sure grab regardless 😂
@@TradingCardTyler Maybe try to go for some cheaper cards that can still get you 50 to 70$ profit? I think going for Gardevoirs and the Zapdos and Alakazam is good, but if you 9 those still it hurts even more! So i think you could just pikc up stuff that is in the 10 to 25 maybe 30$ range and get those 100-200$ slabs from those cards
If you were at a card show and you’re the only one with that ETB and it’s in high demand and supply and demand you have the market. I would easily ask 150 all day, especially it being a pokemon Center one I guarantee you someone would buy it at that price
@@sovereignstacker5090 yeah I agree with you, I was a bit hesitant to trade it or sell it at the show because I don’t mind just keeping it as well but I brought it just in case! The next show I go to I might have to see if I can get someone to pay really high for it!
My opinion, I'm in the same boat as you, I am still in my beginner to mid beginner stage of grading. I've heard Dan from Ketchumall mention if it has 1 small white dot / whitening on 1 small area, don't worry about that 1 little thing. But, the card does need to be well centered front / back. Basically, a great card with the own downside of 1 small dot in 1 corner, can still grab a 10.
@@TheNachris720 yeah that makes sense, I’ll look at some 10s at these shows and some of them do have that one little dot. I just think if I send one in like that they will 9 me for it with my luck 😂 but gonna have to test it out and see!!
@@jibonader 100% it’s so hard to find perfect cards because of this! It’s almost like if they have the card out raw you just know that it’s not perfect 😂
Never understood why dealers don't put some sort of magnifying glass at there tables to detour people from pulling there cards out there sleaves to inspect them so many fingerprints on cards that I see at card shows just detours me from buying them I could clearly see through penny sleaves to determine if a card is good or not
@@72jmunoz yeah it really is crazy how many people are touching these cards at every show and probably damaging them even more when they aren’t handled correctly! I try my best to just look through the sleeve and even the top loader because of this!
You will NEVER see a surface scratch that can possibly HURT the outcome of the grade submission. Unless your eagles eyes, you just about always... keywords just about.... take the cards out to check surface and even the edges some. You do not grade I suppose?
It’s hard but there’s some out there. I recently submitted 3 cards that I bought at a show that came back 10s but not often lol

@ getting 10s on those illustration rares is hard, that’s awesome! Love the stain glass birds too 🔥 agreed with that being the best Gardevoir card!!
Like your video! I just was browsing my youtube and you came up! Happy New Year from Austria Europe!

Don’t most vendors grade their raw cards if they think it’s a PSA 10 at this point? I never end up finding perfect cards…
