Great timing Heather! Mercury is actually transiting my Ceres right now! In my chart Ceres has a conjunction with Pluto and my IC (in the 4th House). I certainly do crave having a connection to family and my roots. With this afflicted placement, I've had a lot upheaval in home environment, and struggled with keeping a roof over my head as an adult. My NN is also in my 4th House. I'm finding that having a stable home is critical in being to do my life's mission. As far as expressing my caregiving goes, I find that I'm very good with household maintenance and caretaking. I've developed a rather advanced level mechanical aptitude. I pride myself on being a craftsman, and doing the best work possible when I do repair work. When I do asteroid astrology, I don't really consider them to be significant unless they're forming conjunctions with other planets. I look at them as providing extra nuance, or indicating that someone came here to work with a unique archetype. As an example, I have Sedna conjunction my Chiron. In addition to the usual Chironic healing themes, I've also had to deal with betrayal, as well as almost losing one of my fingers in an industrial accident. I've done some further studies with Sedna transits, and I've noticed that there's a higher incidence of finger and hand injuries that occur during Sedna conjunct Algol transits.

Interesting. I have ceres in the 11th house and I wonder if another way of interpreting it is that my mother nurtured my friends. That would make more sense than receiving nurturing from my friends parents or my parents friends. I dont yet have children of my own but my mum has been very much of a friend and confidant to me and I to her, at times too much tbh. Also my mum has ceres in the 8th house and it's VERY spot on with the overdoing and micromanaging to make sure everyone is okay. It can be very suffocating for people around her although I'm grateful she cares so much. She also is excellent at her job where she's doing counselling of children with incontinence

Oh, this is so true. Ceres in my 6th House in Aries 17'20". And guess what:) I rescue animals all my life, I adopted mine, have 3 cats, and am a rescued ferret. Animals are literally coming to my door for help. I talk to animals, I feel their souls and energy and also I help people too. I don't like calling myself healer because we all are our own healers but I do help people to find fully their light , so they can fully shine and be on the way that is meant to be for them. Ceres in the 5th, I was an only child for 8 years, and though my parents did support my desire to try alllll the dance classes when I was very little, something shifted (I think when they started trying to conceive again). I have Ceres in 8th house, my mother and my grandmother also were very anxious all the time that something might happen to me, controlling a lot of what I did, clearly a helicopter parent type. Oh, this is so true. Ceres in my 6th House in Aries 17'20". And guess what:) I rescue animals all my life, I adopted mine, have 3 cats, and am a rescued ferret. Animals are literally coming to my door for help. I talk to animals, I feel their souls and energy and also I help people too. I don't like calling myself healer because we all are our own healers but I do help people to find fully their light , so they can fully shine and be on the way that is meant to be for them. As a Scorpio-Libra with moon in Cancer , if I can save all the world, I think my soul will be the most fulfilled soul for this lifetime of human experience.
