I only recently realized that I have been very successful in previous jobs I liked and previous businesses. Now after 38yrs, I feel like I can use this to my advantage 😂.
The most fun “rise to success” was a special assignment while working as a flight attendant. My job was to dress as a passenger and observe first class service while getting flown all over the world and staying in 5-star hotels. I also got selected to be in the safety video and it was the funniest thing to hear my voice playing through the plane speakers. All within 7 months of being hired.
I was always taught that your ascendant indicates WHAT one's strengths are and the midheaven indicates HOW those strengths should be applied. I had a client with a Gemini ascendant and an Aquarius midheaven. She was very unhappy working for a large company in their communications department. With Uranus as her MH ruler, I suggested she try a side business working as an independent consultant. Within a year, she had left the corporate constraints and office politics that stressed her out so much. She was working for herself and loving it.
My career planets are in the 8th house and I’m a Reiki Master (alternative healing), Akashic Records Reader (investigative reading used for karmic healing), and I studied psychology in school lol spot on! 👌🏻 💯 🙌🏻

I have career planets in 8th & 12th , my 10th house is Pisces and my MC is in Aquarius - I’m a professional psychic medium, tarot reader, Akashic reader, and Reiki Master energy healer. Figuring out my career path has always been very difficult for me - but understanding this makes it all come together. My 10th house is Virgo (Mercury) and mid heaven is Libra (Venus) - Venus is also in Virgo in my birth chart. I have two intellectually and developmentally delayed sons (IDD). When I was younger I had to make money where I could and gravitated toward front desk work- loved talking/communicating with clients and the community. As I got older I am using my conversational skills to work in the IDD community. A couple years ago I found my calling and now I teach IDD individuals about relationships, dating and sexuality - Go Venus!!!
its interesting bc i have pisces mc, so either jupiter or neptune. one is in 2nd, the other in 8th, and boh roughly conjunct my south and north node. so its like telling me 'you're going to be fine either way, but one is your comfort zone, the other is going to fulfill your purpose in life.'

Hi Heather! I am so grateful for this information. I have struggled my whole life with a career choice. I studied psychology and went to law school. I have been very unhappy as an attorney and at age 53 have decided not to practice law ever again. I have 3 career planets and 3 planets in my 10th house. Career planets are Pluto in whole sign 8th, Mars in the 11th, and Jupiter in the 7th. From these I can see my decision to become an attorney but I have Aquarius in the 1st, a Libra Sun, and 6th house in Cancer, which I think are the issues. I never fit into the lawyer mold, hated making strategic decisions, and need emotional connection or at least not conflict daily in the workplace. You have helped me articulate the good and the bad of law practice and my dealbreakers for the future. Amazing!
The first and 6th house are super important in my experience. Ive noticed that my 6th house affects me a lot as well as my first house is super important to me. So keeping that in mind it works out much better to choose a career based on that and obviously looking at the 10th house.
(Mine so quick reference for self) 3rd house: journalism. Writing. communication. Early education. Speach and language. Writing: blogs, marketing, copywriting, analytics, communication, intelligence, working with siblings. Community activist. Short distance travel. Vehicles. Movement. Community. Communication. Education. People who use their mind/voice/writing to share information.
I would say this is probably extremely accurate. I also have mercury in this house as well. (Along with Chiron) All of my planets have a lot of aspects...

Thanks Heather💜 This makes a lot of sense for me! My ascendant is in Aquarius. My Saturn is in my 5th and uranus is in my 6th. I am an intuitive artist and my passion is showing the importance of creativity and play in our daily lives. I believe this is a deep connection to spirit and is vital for our health and immune systems. I also work in the akashic records helping people understand the energies of their soul purpose and show blocks and karmic patterns I see that are pulling them out of alignment. I do understand what you said about feeling scattered when you have several plants, I definitely feel pulled in different directions and it took me many career paths before I went with what my heart called me to do.

Wow Heather, you've given me a lot to think about on this one! My MC is in the 10th in Taurus, with my Venus in the 9th. My Ascendant ruler Sun and my Saturn are both conjunct right on my MC. I'm currently working as a psychic tarot reader. I find that the posts and readings I do that are more geared toward spiritual growth are far more satisfying than the normal relationship questions. The long-term goal I'm working toward is very different...to move to our own homestead and start a self-reliance education center. teaching people how to grow their own food and preserve it, cook from scratch, composting, basic building skills, etc. I'm also feeling a pull toward writing a book, which would make sense since I've Mercury conjunct Venus. My midheaven is conjunct Chiron and I have my career planet moon in the 5th house aquarius, I'm a solo enterpreneur and I work as a therapist on the childhood wounds of my clients and speak a lot with their inner child.
WOW! Absolutely LOVED this video and how you explain it all so simply! My MC is in Aquarius, with rulers Saturn and Uranus both in Sag in 8th house. Virgo Sun, Taurus Rising, Pisces Moon. My career looks like a bunch of froot loops. However, what´s been stable for well 19 years now (I am 36) has been my love for teaching dressage riding. I cannot live without doing it! :D. So even though my "real" career has been based from degrees in Marketing, Sales and Business (which I am super interested in), and touched upon all sorts of industries and roles - at least my love for teaching one-on-one and coaching individuals (specially helping them overcome fear of riding or fear of never finding love) has been stable!
Aquarius MC & 10H here! Uranus in Aquarius, 10H. Saturn in Taurus, 1H, conjunct Taurus ASC by 1 degree. The universe practically gave me high possibility boss energy for career if I'm hearing this right 😂 I did consider doing acting much earlier on in life but decided against it as I didn't see good prospects at that time. Self-employment is extremely eye-catching. Climbing that corporate ladder is... like a soft, little simmering thing under my skin that I really want to stoke and melt into; it just feels like a really sweet personal goal I want to try achieving. But I'm still trying to figure myself out, and possible career prospects, other than the ones I've already tried before such as admin and sales. Finding the most suitable career is a really long and tiring road...
Hi again, I just got pinged in email and didn't realize I'd already seen it until I scrolled down to access comments! Since last time a lot has happened where the Midheaven ruler thing is as clear as the Moon in gibbous phase without clouds and the Sun just past midnight in Capricorn, which places my Moon really high where the 9th in the Summer is really low when the Sun is at midnight and the gibbous Moon is there.
So the thing now is that I've got a gig as the drummer in a band at the heart of a circus that plans to go traveling soon. The symbol of Cancer on my midheaven, with Saturn in the house going retrograde on the zero point and also ruled by the Moon in the 9th makes perfect sense to the shape of the situation that gave me the drumming gig. Career ruled by Cancer needs a family to do business, and since I'm an artist by the arrangement of my Libra rising ruled by a 5th house Venus, and Jupiter on the Aquarius midpoint in my 5th in mutual reception with Saturn in the 10th it's a band, a sort of Partridge Family circus act only we're not related, an Aquarian group for sure.
And whaddaya know but the band I'm now in has two women, both of whom I've lived in the same house with in past decades leading the show and my first drum student is a child, son of the accordion player whose Sun and ascendant light up my 2nd house while the other woman who is pretty much the ring leader has her Sun in my 5th, lighting up my Jupiter and Venus. 2 women, a literal interpretation of Moon in zero degree Gemini ruling Saturn and the Midheaven!
The pattern is obvious to me now like never before as with Mercury ruling the Moon being combust the Sun in the 4th house and the nature of Gemini being a short term chapter for each of my basic skills that had to be trained up over decades. It took me until my 49th year to be invited to play drums in any band after being a professional musician on other instruments since my teens. Getting to the maturity to be the drummer who the band loves and not the kind that drove so many musicians of the late 70's onward to use drum machines has taken until my Chiron return. The band is formed from people I've known as mutual friends with others I've known better for over 20 years, Capricorn stuff, and local people with whom I've been forming a good social bond by being supportive of their things and not only obsessed with being impressive with my own part.
They call the drum stool a throne also, and this is because the drum kit is the primary set of instruments that brought to life the back beats that Marshall stacks took for a ride decades after drummers got to access the Ludwig bass drum pedals and hi hat contraptions with the cymbals high enough to also play with sticks. On drums I have more power than on any other instrument to make or break the song. To not be a bad influence with too much ego and chopping all over the kit with no restraint has taken me this long to dial in, that Capricorn 4th house Sun with Mercury ruling the midheaven ruler isn't an energy that I could reliably access until very recently.
You just started talking. We're about three minutes in. I love that you use whole signs because that's my preferred system, too. I knew well before I ever looked into astrology that I wanted to help people love themselves, have healthier relationships with themselves, because every other relationship you have is a mirror to that. Well, I have Taurus in the tenth with Chiron in Taurus. Venus rules Taurus from my sixth house of work. I have an Aries MC in the 9th house of teaching, writing, and mentoring. Ruler of Aries, Mars, is in my 7th house of relationships. Uranus is currently transiting my tenth house and opposite my natal Uranus in the fourth. Mars, Lilith, Chiron, and Eris currently transiting my ninth house, opposite my natal Pluto.
When you consider Venus as the ruler of my tenth and Mars as the ruler of my MC it makes sense to me wanting to help people with relationships. Especially with Venus being in the sixth house of work and Mars being in the 7th house of relationships.

I have a multi-faceted career path. I have a Virgo 10th house and my Midheaven is in Libra in my 11th house. So Mercury is my 10th house ruler and Venus rules my MC. Natal Mercury is in Aquarius in my 3rd house and Venus is in Pisces in my 4th house. I have a degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Theatre. I am also a Certified Tarot Card reader who also uses Astrology and other things in my readings with clients. I have Sagittarius rising with Jupiter in Scorpio in my 12th house. I am also a healer/ Magi. The Planet Neptune and Moon are in my 1st house too. Natal Chiron in Aries in my 5th house I believe has guided me to help others in a way to become an entrepreneur and art therapist.
My 10th house ruler is in the 2nd but I’m a clinical therapist. Maybe 🤔 I will find a diff business later in life?
My husband’s ruler of the 10th is in the 5th but he’s higher ranking in the military.. so not seeing the connection here.. 🤔 maybe he will be an entrepreneur later in life? He is obsessed with sports so perhaps he can do something with this later in life! Interestingly, his MC is in Sagittarius in the 11th and I know Sag rules foreign travel (which was mentioned) and we do move around a lot! So neat!

Hi! My career planets are Jupiter in 3rd House, Neptune in 7th house, and Mars in 5th house. All of those planets are aspected within 1-4 degrees. A nice triangle. 😁 also I have planets in conjunction to those career planets so…there’s a lot to unpack there.
The most significant thing from this video is that the 5th house is connected to entrepreneurship. I have a stellium in that house as well. I’ve always wanted to work for myself and recently, I’m in the process of creating a business plan.

Little ol’ me: 1st house; uhm yeah, been there, done that, because I was an actor ….and I’ve been soldiers multiple times in my past lives. Then lets get on to the 2nd house …must be about the near future, seeing from where I’m going to now, what can bring a lot of money in. The 5th house speaks about former life actions to me and I’ve worked with kids in my 20’s. The 7th house is what happens when I will follow my true path in this live: being in the public eye. Then finally the 3rd house that connects with my 12th house and my mc pisces….I‘m going to allow myself to be what I truely am in this live (with 6th house energy too) and that‘s being a creative\ intuitive writer, creating my own Oracle dek, and writing several books and blogs online, about past lives and also….astrology 😊🙏

I just wanted to mention that having many planets in the 10th house can be confusing as well. I have the ruler of the 1st/8th and the 9th/12th, and the 11th all in the 10th house. I have a Cancer 10th house and Midheaven and my moon is in the 4th house. So I have "many" options but none of them really seem to be the correct direction because they don't encompass every energy. Something always seems to be missing.

Ohhhh this actually confused me even more. 10th house is Leo, Midheaven is Virgo. However, my MC is conjunct by Mars, Venus, Moon... Then Mercury (ruler of MC) is conjunct Jupiter, square Pluto. 10th house ruler is Leo and my Sun is in the 9th in Cancer. Basically, all my planets play a role in this...

I just looked up my 10th house and midheaven for the first time...I have 4 career planets and my midheaven is in the 9th house! 🤦

I am so glad to have found this channel as I begin to unpack the world of astrology and understanding my chart. Please someone tell me if I have interpreted this correctly: Aries is in my 10th house and Aries = Mars. On my chart Mars is in my 3rd house. Pisces is in my Mid Heaven and Jupiter is the traditional ruler, well Jupiter is also in my 3rd house and yip I am a teacher of 5 year olds!!!!!!!! As I have been teaching for well over 20 years, I have been hearing a whisper that I could maybe start thinking about some kind of consulting (I keep hearing this word, but not really sure what it means, how it would work) Oh!! Neptune is the modern ruler and its in my 7th House and Heather says that is consulting and 1-1 coaching. I have a very Eastern heavy chart (more fate than freedom) and yip, I knew I wanted to be a teacher from the age of 4. I can’t make this up people. Astrology is mind blowing. 😊
10th house in Scorpio, MC in Sag in 11th. Rulers are in 5th, 10th and 7th respectively. And then I have Sun and Venus conjunct the MC. That's A LOT of stuff going on lol.
Hi Heather. My experience with houses is similar. I only got into whole sign houses a few years ago, and it changes the house positions of almost all my natal planets. The systems I used before, Placidus, Koch the most common, all have my planets in different signs than the house cusps they're said to be in in that system. I've had mad skills with musical instruments and all manner of art making materials for my entire life. The way I understood my chart for more than 20 years was like the picture of my life my family would prefer I adopt, where there's little to no evidence for a life dedicated to art. Enter whole sign houses, duh: the ruler of my ascendant is in the 5th house, along with the ruler of my North Node. The ruler of my midheaven, the Moon jumps from 8th to 9th house, where I've always felt my emotions to be rooted. Philosophy, folklore, history, languages, science, magick, art, an eye to things beyond my local culture. To me the other house systems seem like noise generated during a time when the tools were too crude to measure things, and math led them astray. Problem with math is that humans can take it to places outside manifest reality. It doesn't automatically reveal truth. Whole sign houses have been used for as long as astrology has been practiced in the so-called Hellenistic way. But that system showed up in Greece fully developed with no history preceding it. More likely it came from an elder culture. I feel like all the complex math houses led me astray, then my chart began to make total sense as soon as I started using Whole signs. Huh. Whole signs, more holistic. Then you don't get planets in houses other than the cusp of said house. That's a whole ball of confusion. Moderns love confusion, as long as it's entertaining.
Oh, ping: I just realized all my career planets, Saturn in 10th, Moon in 9th ruling both plus also the midheaven, are aspected by outer planets. Saturn square Pluto, Midheaven squared Uranus, Moon opposed Neptune. Thus, music, astrology, Tai Ji, qigong, witchcraft of course with my 4th house Sun having popped open my ancestor cabin with witches, wizards, druids and bards, and a few Indians. My Mars is in the 8th. Occult has been knocking on my door all my life, I opened the door and let it in when I was 18. Or even before that when I got into heavy metal music age 12. The normal careers my parents keep pushing me toward are anathema to my path. Now that I've sorted that out, my Saturn isn't a drag, but the roots of my Craft. Glad I had heavy metal then, and then also chilling tunes like Brian Eno Music For Airports. Mars in 8th could be much worse than that.

This was awesome! Let me make sure that I have this right. My 10th house & MC is in Aquarius, whom is co ruled by Saturn & Uranus. My Saturn, is in cappy, on my 8th house cusp, and Uranus is in sag, on my 8th house cusp(29th degree) as well, in sag. I have my sun, Uranus, and Mercury all in sag. Sun and Mercury sit smack dab in the middle of my 8th. My chart is also ruled my Venus.
Let me tell you what I’ve done. I was in accounting/finance, for 10 years. Never made any real progress there. I have my Moon and SN conjunct, in Virgo.
I use to really love fashion. Consulted, on the side, from 2016-2017. I also tried my hand at modeling prior.
Saturn return from the end of 2017 and currently still in it. Decided that I would never go bk to accounting. Hated it and the people. Lol.
Bought my first set of tarot cards in June of 2019 and began reading for others. Even restarted my RUclips with tarot and astrology. Went well for a bit.
The beginning of 2020 started with me helping a small business get their ish in order. Started a HR software implementation for them to upgrade their company (Virgo and Taurus energy. The pandemic partially shut that down.
March of 2020, I started selling Seamoss Smoothies, then Alkaline food. Really picked up when Saturn went through Aquarius briefly. Activated the ish out of my 10th house and MC!
I love to be creative, teach people, help them heal, from the inside out, hear what they don’t say, etc. I love making things better and an excellent at it! Sn in Virgo energy. I love interior design as well. Looking to relocated because I’m in a karmic location, since my city is ruled by Virgo. I can bounce around to a few different things when one thing slows down.
Neptune is currently transiting in pisces, and conjuncts your NN if it already hasnt. That lasts for quite a while, and can boost growth for new direction. I have virgo stellium, and got an urge to move by sea. Bests decision I have ever made🎏
So I have midheaven in Aquarius 10th house and Saturn is in the 10th house and also in Aquarius. I have Uranus in Capricorn 9th house, so I guess I have two rulers for my midheaven. You and I share the placement - 10th house ruler in the 11th, but mine is the moon which rules cancer 10th and is in Leo, in mutual reception with the sun which is in my 10th conjunct Venus + Uranus! I have never made money through friends or figured out money at all. 6th house is empty. Mars in 2nd and it hasn't helped much either. I have found that people are attracted to me on the internet, but maybe haven't figured out how to make money on it;.
