first of all thank Mr William for yr video and sharing with us yr wonderful tips, thank u a million for teaching us and have the time to reply also so generous of u sir my love and respect for a wonderful artist,
It is fascinating and mesmerizing to see the intuitive and skilled application of poured and manipulated color layers. Mr. Hall is abundantly multi-talented as he also displays his music and audio talents. This piece invites the viewer to jump in and explore its world.
This is fantastic example of how attention to the process results in an impressive product! This is fantastic use of medium, tension, and daring composition. Kudos!
hhey william dont spend your time defending your talents to anyone. you are a gret artist and this way of art is art...art is not skill it is expression and you have the freedom to color outside the line... i love it
It was fascinating to watch your process. I was intrigued the entire time. I had a moment of concern when you poured the grey substance (that I now know was cement) all over your work. But felt a sense of relief when you turned over your work of art & I saw that the beauty wasn't destroyed. Instead there was lots of energy, movement, texture & color dancing all over the glass. Thanks for sharing. This technique is certainly new & exciting to me! Bravo!
I just finished watching your other video and I have to say you've really got some inspiring works of pure genius. I think I totally missed the concept earlier, but now I get it.
I love your technique. I am an art student and an outsider artist. I have never seen this technique before. I would love to try this, with your permission of course. I absolutely love this.
I went to your channel & watched the first demo of this process & learned that all the pigment actually transfers to the cement & the glass is left on the table. Don't know how I missed that in this video. It's all very interesting. Thanks again.
Thank you very much! This piece is very old, If you would like to see some of my recent work, go to www.williamhallart.com. I would appreciate it if you would subscribe to be kept up to date with my new work.
I love mixed media and I think this is really unique form. I don't understand the process, but the finished work is very striking. Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks! The reason you have never seen this is I came up with it. It has taken me years to develop. It is not an easy or predictable process. Good luck.
Wow that is amazing! I didn't really understand what you were doing until the cement dried and you removed the wood! Absolutely amazing, it sent shivers down my spine! I wish I could do that!
Yupo is a plastic. I have only used it a few times. Very different. I wouln't have guessed glass... Really cool work. Thanks for answering my question. Have a great day.
My original concept for framing was not to, however over time I have realized the need to protect the edges of the work, if nothing else. I now attach the wood supports to the edge to the support allowing me to attach a wood frame if I like.
Abrazo!!!
I just love it...Peaceful watching. I love to create unusual pieces & experiment. Were you using yupo paper? I recognized the under rino board for tile. Been there done that...
@Telekon5 Actually this piece weighs 15 lbs. I agree that is more than a stretched canvas piece but not too much more than other mixed media on panel. Yes, it is not a good idea to drop my work but the same is true of plaster wall hangings and sculpture. These draw backs are acceptable to me because of the flexibility the medium allows me. I really appreciate your comments, thanks for watching.
Me encanto su tecnica, solo que no se como le hace para que se quede la pintura en la tabla que pone encima para secar la pintura...sensacional su trabajo.
If you are asking what the final pour before I set in the support, it was a thin mixture of cement and water. All of the colors in this piece were powered pigment mixed with cement and water.
I love this!!! So I am curious... how did it start? is that on glass and then the concrete poured on top?? Im a traditional canvas girl but love to play with new mediums
Brilliant artwork! do you mind telling me what the grey paint was in the end? It looked like some of the paint was acrylic, but I'm not sure about the grey paint in the end.
this is brilliant ! Thanks for sharing - please I have a toughened glass and i was wondering how to make abstract art on this. would you recommend to use this glass ?
HI, William. compliments for ur art. I think its really cool what u do. I have a question; how long does it take for cement to dry? and does the cement makes it heavy?
Very interesting technique, it opened my eye to developp other stuff, thank for sharing this, by the way, is that the cement or concrete? Thanks again.
J'adore votre oeuvre, c'est magnifique. Quelle substance utilisez-vous pour créer vos détails et quelle est celle du remplissage a la fin de votre réalisation? Sérieusement, quelle merveille vous avez créé.

It is 1/4" Hardie Board, normally used as tile underlayment. I buy it at HomeDepot.
