Yes Suzy that's what i put in my flour sugar , oats pasta bay leaf just saw your channel for the first time today .i love watching how different cultures cook & do things. Like it already stay safe * Blessed 🙌🙏
Greetings from Zimbabwe, i just came across your channel and i am enjoying all the practical tips of cleaning, savings and being responsible for my home. I didnt know about the Flylady let me go to their website. thank you for the content.
Great Video Suzy and great tips. Suggestion: for your shelves since they have quite some room between one layer and another, you could also consider getting the plastic vegetable racks (they're quite affordable, I got some from Toi a while back) the ones that come stackable and you can toanisha say two two and use them as double storage racks between shelves e.g for spices and the small containers. Finally for the potatoes and other vegetable you could also use plastic crates as the carton ones sometimes absorb moisture and breed wadudus or even dry out the produce.
I LOVE THIS , AM YOUR NEW SUBSCRIBER AND THE MOST AMAZING VIDEO I'VE WATCHED THIS FAR IS THE ONE FOR SAVING MONEY BUT BASICALLY EVERYTHING ID DOPE. YOUR CONTENT IS SUPER
I can relate on issue of going to the market the difference in budget for food is so huge. My mum loves those naivas kenpoly containers as well. Keep up the good work
This looks amazing gal,I could live with you aki, this is me all the time, I actually think I have ocd(shhhh) can't stop cleaning😂😂.At least I have somewhere to run and see another me
@@suzyshomestead obvious it looks better but I found it easier to organizer my potatoes and butternut in the crate, easier to clean and water proof since it stays on the floor.
I buy my cooking oil in the small kamtungi 10liters . it lasts us more than a month you should try it pia . save money for the olive oil ya kutumia kwa salads pekee
Question what do you do with the old reusable shopping bags? I wash then in the washing machine the after they're dry cut the shopping bags up to use a liners for the bottom the cabinets. If the bags are big you could use to store the potatoes in.
Hi Suzy.I didnt see you making rice and chapos and ugali when batch cooking. So you still cook after batch cooking. How do you portion your cooked food for the freezer.Do you take out a portion daily or you take out a portion to last you a whole week in the fridge.Thank you for your videos they are very helpful.
Suzy , can you please comment back to me and let me know what your food seasonings/spices are ? I just moved to Mauritania recently from the States and I’m finding it hard to know what to buy from the market. Thank you ☺️!
Thanks Esther! As for the stains, it depends on what caused them. But if it is just normal discolouration, I like to sprinkle Vim and then scrub with soapy water. Over time it gets much cleaner. Hope that helps. 👍🏾

This is awesome content Suzy. Quick tip for the potatoes storage try a plastic crate. You can get one at the plastic section in the supermarket.
Good idea Ruth! Why is the plastic one better than a carton box, apart from looking lovely? ☺️☺️
@@suzyshomestead obvious it looks better but I found it easier to organizer my potatoes and butternut in the crate, easier to clean and water proof since it stays on the floor.

Where did u buy your kitchen curtain? It looks great
I bought it in Eastleigh. 💮💮
@@suzyshomestead oh thanks
Hi Suzy,How do you monitor the expiry dates when you store the food in the airtight container instead of the original package?
I make sure I don't buy anything that expires withing three months, because by that time I'm sure we'll have cleared the whole lot. ☺️☺️
Lovely video... kindly I have a question... how do you unstain your terrazzo floors... thanks
Thanks Esther! As for the stains, it depends on what caused them. But if it is just normal discolouration, I like to sprinkle Vim and then scrub with soapy water. Over time it gets much cleaner. Hope that helps. 👍🏾
There is a terrazzo cleaner that my hubby bought. You can ask in the supermarket you will find one if vim doesn't work for you
@@suzyshomestead thank you so much...I tried this and it worked perfectly...
How much are these lovely plastic containers with black dots. Are they in supermarkets?
I agree... they're lovely. I think I mentioned the prices in the video. They can be found in Naivad and Carrefour. 🌸🌷
