- Are you looking for new creative ways how to express yourself? I’ve been playing with the idea of wool felting for a while and now I finaly finished my first wool art which I’d like to share with you. It’s such a soft material which brings lots of pleasure when working with it. This whole piece took me around 30 hours to finish, so it is quite timedemanding. This is amazing. I watch a lot of felting picture tutorials, but they've all been realistic representations to one extent or another. This is the first time I've seen anything like this. I keep looking again at the turquoise "bubble" at the top left of the artwork, it looks so liquid. I can understand everyone wanting to touch the work, I hope you make them wash their hands first!!

That is absolutely gorgeous! The reflection effect on the water droplet is so realistic! Just amazing! I hope you continue working in this medium.
To share a little of the fiber knowledge I've gained from spinning yarn, the reason for how you had to pull the roving apart is because of staple length. That's the length of the individual sheep hairs. You need to have your hands further apart than the staple length of the fiber, otherwise you're pulling on the same individual hairs with both hands -- essentially trying to break them. But when your hands are further apart than the length of the individual hairs, you're pulling on different fibers with each hand and they slip apart.
That's why yarn is so strong -- because when we spin it, we purposely overlap the individual hairs. 🥰
