Hey Christina, as we know that u live abroad with ur husband and u are an employee in myntra Can u like.. live in a country and be employed to a brand of another country???? Please talk about this. Like how the process is and how everything just works
Hey Christina! I love your videos, they helped me a lot. I have a question, as u said in stage 2; the hirer will focus more on the portfolio with design work from stage 1. Can you plz suggest to me, how should i organize my work portfolio, like what to add? Mood boards, or pictures of my development I did under senior designer? And in what format? Plz, suggest me.
Hello there Christina! Hope you are doing well! Do you think a fashion designer is a career that ages well? What i'm trying to get to is if they are ageist when it comes to providing people with jobs and them only prefering younger individuals
Hi Alejandra! I’m doing well, thank you. I hope you are too! To answer your question, from my experience at companies, I haven’t seen any partiality shown to younger people. I have had colleagues who were designing at about 45 years, but I’ve also had colleagues who at 45 had stopped designing and were in design supervision positions. I think the usual trajectory is the older you get, and the more experienced you are, the lesser you get design roles - only because you will be given managerial/supervising roles. So it isn’t ageist as far as I know in that sense. Hope that helps!
Hi! I’m not too sure honestly, I’ve used a MacBook for all my years as a fashion designer (I use a tablet rarely). A quick google search gave me these though: 1. Acer Aspire 5 2. HP 14s 3. Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 4. Dell Inspiron 15 3000 My apologies for not being of more help!

So, which role actually gets to put their imaginations into designs, then cut the cloth and construct the dress? Please help me understand this aspect!
Hi Pallavi! If you work at corporate companies, it’s the Technical Designer that does the pattern making while the cutting and stitching is done by the vendors that work with the company. The Fashion Designers put their ideas together on digital softwares but there’s no pattern making or garment construction involved for us. Hope that answers your question!
@@WithloveChristina Got it, great help! Thank you! And these technical designers who do the pattern making also work at these corporate companies? And does no one need to make a model garment as the master piece before it is rolled out for production? I just don’t have an idea or an understanding how the industry works.. Also, then the people who pen down the imaginations and the people who create the physical form do not necessarily get a chance to handle both aspects in other segments in the industry? By that I mean standard structured offices or companies.
You’re welcome! Yes, most companies have a tech team. Other companies simply rely on vendors and their in house pattern makers. Also, model samples are made with vendors itself. Not within the company. If you want to have both the design and creation of a garment as a job, then that would be a boutique business model where you start your own boutique and create the final garment for individuals or hire tailors to create them. But it isn’t a feasible structure for corporate giants who serve the mass market like Myntra, Landmark, etc.
Hi! I’m not sure about a diploma, it might not hold as much a value as a degree as much more subject data is covered in a 3/4 year degree. I also don’t think I have any fashion designer colleagues who own only a diploma so I definitely recommend getting a degree for securing a good corporate job.
Just discovered your channel, I work in tech and have no connection to fashion, not even sure why I'm watching this, but am addicted !
Just amazing video!!👍🏻👍🏻💯❤️ Thankyou for giving us so much information, you're are such a genuine girl.
Thank you for your knowledge and you inspire me!
If I learn by myself, how long do you think it takes to be a good fashion designer? Do you think it can be self taught?
What if someone doesn't have a design background, a degree in design? 23 years old?
