Also for the Potemkin mirror, round start pot buster beats round start kara pot buster. With 2 Potemkins on screen there’s about a 95% chance the round will start with at least 1 pot buster (the other 5% are buster misinputs) so make sure you’re the guy doing the right one
I made this guide especially for newer Potemkin mains. You'd be surprised how many of these seem obvious yet a lot of people seem to ignore. Either way, thanks for the feedback! I hope at least some of these were helpful!
Thank you gluebrother!! I learned so much from this!!! I was failing on floor 7 so hard with pot I was considering playing Happy Chaos!!! This will bring many glorious victories I am sure!!! (Also thank you for a tutorial that doesn't ask for KARA CANCELLING!! I am BAD at those!!)

@@altobug83 Congratulations! Now you know you are capable of reaching the next level! Keep at it and remember, you don't play to win or lose. You play to improve yourself and get better with every match! That is the true path of the glue!
@@VanfernalIt's always so funny to me how Potemkin players are spoken of as if they eat paint while sniffing glue with a side of crayola. But then with Kara cancels Potemkin is one of the highest execution barriers in the game. (Not that I'm complaining I just think that's funny as hell.)
@@NeonWasInUse It's a humble living. 😂 From them outside it looks like you just do Pot Busters and win. But the average player doesn't know everything that goes into playing a grappler between execution and settings up the actual throws. Also the steady glue diet can be brutal!
"Must know Potemkin tips" Hmm, let's see if there's anything new... (everything other than the mirror match hint). Okay, then. Shoutout to flicking Ram's swordsplosion. I actually have a lot of trouble with her pressure.
When you're in the corner more likely than not Ram will shoot her sword. Just be careful against more advanced Rams since they will use Sabrobato after couple of flicks. Mix it up!
@@Vanfernal Usually I wait for an opportunity for a quick 2P or 6P mash, maybe a back throw or Mega Fisto out of jail but yeah, when the Ram is careful in managing her spacing and timing with the splosions, it's a tough jail to break out of.

NEED THE TIP FOR BRIDGET i recently got into strive and my friend is pretty annoying with Brisket, so i would appreciate if anyone got something that gets me things easier
That's definitely a rough matchup for Pot. I haven't fought enough Bridgets to know the match up 100% but I've found success spamming the crap out of hammerfall. Just take the offense tank through the damage. If you play defensively you'll always be at a disadvantage. Good luck!
6p is great in that mu since her moves aren't actually disjointed. it's similar to the millia mu where it feels like a lot of time is spent waiting for them to commit too hard/make a mistake then punish tf out of them. luckily brig has the same amount of health as a wet paper bag so you can get a lot even from stray hits. Also same advice as Leo, brig's DP is throwable (be wary of her wake up super tho)
That was hammerfall RC to Pot Buster, then Pot has an animation where he flings the opponent. If you RC while he has the opponent behind him it actually causes a side switch. The timing can be a little tricky, but with a little labbing it becomes second nature.
Because of time constraints I haven't found time to make individual guides. I have a very good tip against her though. When you block Youzansen the best counter I've found is 5P, 5P, Heat Knuckle. It stops her offense and sends her full screen. So slap slap heat knuckle!
Also for the Potemkin mirror, round start pot buster beats round start kara pot buster. With 2 Potemkins on screen there’s about a 95% chance the round will start with at least 1 pot buster (the other 5% are buster misinputs) so make sure you’re the guy doing the right one
Great tip! Thanks!
Damn, the other 5% ain't anything else but a failed Buster
forgot the mystical 0.1% of double misinput turning into high five fest
My fellow Potemkin user you have done a great service
Thank you! Glad I could help!
Some of these tips felt extremely obvious than others were genuinely enlightening. Very strange feeling but thank you either way.

Now I just need a tip on how to deal with brisket
Brisket loves to jump or do long pokes from what I've seen. Spam any anti-air move of choice, and Slide Head for the latter.
Thank you very much for this. Recently wanted to pick up the paint lord to have a 2nd character besides Sol
