You should be able to land the 890 jump in water. That would be a great feature for such a boat
It was talk about being a idea they would like to do, it's even talked about that some planets could have space ports that was water based. But the water physics need to be made first, as it's not as simple as saying it should just behave like a gas. As a room in theory can't fill with water if there is internal pressure.
Gotta wait for the physics to be in place first, no doubt they thought of it before you.
I think on the new river on Microtech you already can land the 890. I will check ....

Get a starter ship and load it with two or three large size backpacks, drive it outside combat restricted zone, backspace to die. Gear up and bring a tractor beam.
Blow your other ship up.
Get the massive loot box into your ship. Do a few bunker missions with a massive loot box.

@@Akram_Alkhateeb backpack can be used for looting? You keep everything in the ship that's in the box.
You can just use the backpacks because you will at least keep using them

When you are on the hover vehicles, I find it helps to hold "spacebar" or whatever you have jump set to when you are driving over bumps and coming down from a high jump. It will keep it from hitting the ground and killing you.

@@traviswells6938 Well you're mostly right. There won't be an extreme amount of animals to render, but they will (probably) always be rendered as an entity within the universe. That's why they call it the "persistent universe" - everything is always there. It's also why what they're building is so damn impressive. It's not just a space MMO with incredible graphics, it's in a category all by itself.

Do PVE bounties. Once you get to ERT missions, you get 100k++ per mission.
Or find loot boxes or in bunker mission bring 1-2 scu boxes then store all items into that. Then sell it to the nearest space station you would get more than 100k per mission.

The coolest part of this video was hovering the 890 at sea level, that looked amazing, and the impromptu swimming pool in the Hanger, omg.
I'm thinking you could've searched underwater by wearing a spare helmet, and I'm surprised no one's tried that yet (that I've seen)
Last time I played (which was several years ago now), the water would pretty much insta-gib you. I don’t know if they’ve changed it to be more like proper water now, but if it’s anything like it used to be, there’s no getting that stuff back.
They very recently made it so you can walk underwater when wearing a helmet.

The real question is, whether or not you can open a rear hatch on a ship while your buddy flies, lock on and shoot the rocket launcher in space!!!

Not only can you shoot out-of / in-to / through ships, the different physics grids also affect the trajectory of the projectile : For example if you get the nerf gun and fire it from space into a ship, you will see it travel straight, until it moves into the gravity & atmosphere of the ship where it will the start to slow down & drop to the floor. Which blows my fucking mind.
@@Anonnymouse53 My god, I bought this game a year ago, couldn't get out of the hangar - told myself I would wait until I could afford sticks, but now I need to find a good dualshock 4 loadout and just jump in. That is amazing.
@@MoonstruckOnMovies Dual stick is fantastic, but keyboard and mouse does work well enough once you get used to it.
A Gamepad control scheme works with a bit of practice and tuning the sensitivity curves. Not the best for combat but you can definitely enjoy getting around. It lacks buttons, so VoiceAttack pairs pretty nicely so you can speak commands like "gear up/down", "power on/off", etc.
Do it man, it'll be frustrating getting setup at first maybe - but it is regardless of what control scheme you use. It's a complicated game with lots of binds.

I imagine that door not opening is intended. Either it's to do with keeping cockpit cabin pressurised (which isn't a thing yet), or as a security measure, so people can't just waltz in (if they boarded the ship).
I noticed the same thing on the Carrack. A lot of doors will open for you, but the medbay ones don't seem to (and maybe others).
Love your Star Citizen content, keep it up!
I think they should have something like GTA where you can buy a "house" and keep extra stuff there. You can pick a random spot on a planet and set up a cheap stash house, all the way up to a super expensive space station. Where you can keep ships and have a large group.

Operei and the pole at Hurston are 2 of my fave places in the game. Taking my dragonfly out over Operei was 1st thing I did in 3.17 what water cruising came in.
That star-rise (sunrise!) with clouds in front of it... Damn that is beautiful.
I believe the Hoverquad clipping into the floor was from the wind pushing the ship into the ground right when it spawned. Just bad luck I guess

New to your channel and watched a few of you SC videos! Been a backer for a while and I truly enjoy your new player perspective and giggles about the project. If I may I'd recommend to maybe try out hold F+right click. From there inventory, helmet and emotes etc. Cheers, keep em coming

If you didn't know press "left alt + K" to fold wings on Scorpius without having the landing gear down. its very nice.
it can still shoot through itself if you do that lol. pity, I wanted it to fold like an actual x-wing, into 2-wing mode, but it retracts the wings to the back
@@Varmer They might add another wing configuration, it seems they plan to do more for the Scorpius as of the ISC video they released May 26th 2022. The keybinding also is to cycle the configuration, which means there could be more than one.
Maybe now that you are a confirmed star citizen player, you could stop sayin' "the sun" and call it Stanton 😅?

The holden helmet isn't a glitch, you used to be able to buy them in the shops but that feature was taken out with looting becoming a thing, there are three gold armor sets(light medium and heavy) and a black and gold flight suit
Edit: that square box on your throttle is to control how fast your max speed is but also where to set your cruse speed at, the default key is 'C'
Also i am always keeping an eye on what happens to your stats on socialblade etc... so impressive: with the start of the star citizen series, your views (compared to the last year) have literally increased by 900%. crazy stuff

There is a way to land safely after a big jump with any grav-lev vehicle : Boost and strafe up before you hit the ground. Also, it's generally safer to hover high instead of low. That way you don't jump on every little rock you encounter.
Hilarious as always! Loved it. Olli, if you really wanted to go for a swim you didn’t even need to leave the ship. BTW, shouldn’t a yacht like that be able to float?
The little square at your speed bar is the autopilot speed limiter. You can press C and the ship will fly this speed you set automaticly
I've spent hours (between updates) placing cloths, gear, weapons, etc... at various locations (ArcCorp & Baijini Pt, MicroTech & Port T, OLISAR (Home) & Port O, HUR-L4 and MIC-L1). ;-)
I carry very little on me and/or aboard ship due to dying (salvaging and looting a corpse isn't easy).
At 2:43; did you pick up after yourself?
I use the mat in front of the airlock doors as a "last" check point for helmet, undersuit, etc...
I have suggested (Game Ideas) having, Day/Night clocks placed around the various locations so we know if it's midnight, midday, close to dawn or dusk, whatever...?

I think the new inventory system is cool, and good in concept, but the prospect of your ship blowing up because of a glitch that is no fault of yours and losing all your loot in space is so unbelievably shitty. Its like Dark Souls but you cant go retrieve your stuff. Its already happened to me a few times, just jumping into QT and boom, hours worth of work gone and its not even my fault. Until CIG can add in some fail safes they should just make it so you DONT lose everything when you die, because the system is still obviously not ready for its intended use
I entirely agree. It's happened to me and a bunch of friends as well. For example, a friend of mine went out of his bed when he logged in and clipped through the floor and died because somehow he was able to step out on the side where there was a wall. I love this game, but it is definitely not ready to have the mechanic of losing your items upon death yet. It just makes the many bugs this game currently has really frustrating.
Yeah my little laptop is running it fine but I feel that may cause some serious damage lol. But that was amazing. Can't wait to run across you one day man.

Yeah, for some reason the game has recently been giving out Capital ship hangars to light fighters. I have no idea why it does this. (At this point with how unpredictable the bugs are, I literally think that this game’s code has gained sentience and that it is basically toying with us)

I don't know if the freefly event is still going on. I believe it is until the 30th. It's an incredible game-the gtx 1650 will run it..not well, but 25-28FPS in dense dense areas and 40fps in space. Landing on planets its playable..BUT..this game uses a ton of RAM. It used all 16GB of mine and then spilled into the page file-so I had FPS drops/higher CPU usage as assets were purged and pulled from storage constantly. This game is comfortable on a 32GB machine and for a good experience you'll want atleast a 3050/3060. CPU..you want 6cores. Min. It is a demanding unoptimized game. Makes Escape from Tarkov look like GTA V.

That pip does work but you can only go so fast in atmosphere with the force of gravity weighing the ship down. But yes cruise control and the limiter can both be disabled.
This is why you need a fun safe assistant with you.
With the 890, the doors that don't open automatically are there for a reason. It's a way to separately guest and pilot/crew (and bedrooms).
At least, that's my speculation.

@Olli43, you gotta get your 890 jump with a bunch of people with missile launchers. Then post them at airlocks and do piracy missions or bounties. Youll have your own AA protection.
I hope that the Esperia Prowler hover system would work someday like every working hover vehicles in ST, that would be awesome sight to see.

Opptaimistly_Disapointed here. I love your videos. You truly enjoy doing it. I play on a 8 core AMD a 960 Navida video card CPU is cooled with a aquarium water pump and a 5 gallon bucket of water. All video setting on low and I have to shut down every 2 hours to dump the warm water and fill the bucket with cold water.Watching your videos is the only way I have of seeing what this game is like visually. My days are full of mining, 520k more and I'll have a prospector. Best game ever says a 62 year old gamer.
Low settings are not optimized. So you may actually be creating worse performance for yourself.
Try high settings if you haven't already. Clouds, chromatic abberation, motion blur, and film grain off.
I picked up a "G-2 Executive" helmet a while back. It is like a Black Gold. Not two tone. The whole helmet is a Black Gold.
Hoverquad can fly in space but in gravity it has a limited height
What graphic settings do you use?
The lmg you had can be easely farmen in 90k bunker misions.

The x wing ship you use is really cool
You forgot about the battle bridge didn't you? Also you can use the max thrust controls to finely tune your your thrusters to decend and hover. You just turn down max thrust until you start to sink and then turn it back up to max to hold your hover.
Olliiii, there is a console next to the med bed you can use to set your point so you don’t need to lie down ans get back up every time.
I have like 50 Tigerklaws floating around at my storage in area 18. Sometimes when anyone asks me I give them one and help them get rid of their crime stat
So funny again and an nice jump (ok the end was not as inteded but also cool)

I still use the Acceleration limiter with my throttle ( have 3 dials i can bind scolling actions to) because then you can adjust your speed much more finely when landing etc. O7

One more thing: Dispite it’s polluted appearance, Hurston actually has a breathable atmosphere, you just can’t breath underwater without a suit
If you had a multi-tool with a tractor beam you could have gone 'fishing' for your corpse lol
Space on hover vehicles keep you up and away from rocks but is slower ctrl brings you closer to the ground but faster or whatever strafe up and down is that you have set for your flight sticks

And is not stupid expensive aka $100+ and also the ship would be good in and out of atmosphere.
The avenger titan is a good bang for buck ship currently. You can get it now with the pledge and 10 year insurance during invictus week if I remember correctly.

So sad when I realized this yacht of all spaceships couldn't float. =(
But then again, it's a spaceship and space is a very high vacuum which is literally the opposite of dense water.
Also, water in this game is still in its infancy from what I understand.
Always do science with the minimun necessary gear if possible ;)
